JOINT STATEMENT BY THE SIMPLIFIED GRASSROOTS MOBILIZERS (SGM) ON THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL DECLARATION OF A STATE OF EMERGENCY IN RIVERS STATE: DEFENDING DEMOCRACY, RESISTING TYRANNY

The Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers (SGM), speaking on behalf of the peace-loving but resolute people of Rivers State, hereby issue this firm and uncompromising condemnation of the illegal, reckless, and unconstitutional declaration of a State of Emergency by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the disgraceful attempt to suspend our duly elected Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, and his Deputy.

We state without fear or apology: this is a blatant act of executive lawlessness, a provocative assault on democracy, and a dangerous descent into autocracy. It is a direct violation of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a calculated move towards federal tyranny and state capture.



1. Tinubu Has Unmasked Himself – The People Now Know the Enemy of Democracy

The veil has fallen. President Tinubu’s actions have fully exposed his long-nursed agenda against the people of Rivers State. The illegal declaration of a State of Emergency and the sham appointment of Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (rtd) as a so-called administrator is nothing short of a civilian coup.

Let it be clear: Tinubu is not a neutral leader but the chief architect of the political crisis in Rivers State, wielding the judiciary, legislature, and security agencies as weapons against a freely elected government. He has declared war on democracy and the people will not sit back.



2. We Say No to State Capture, No to Imperial Presidency

What President Tinubu seeks is not peace—it is conquest. Under the false pretense of oil resumption in Ogoniland, he wants to militarize Rivers, seize control of our resources, and annex our political structure for his personal empire.

But we serve him this warning: Rivers State is not Lagos. We are not slaves. Our people will not kneel to a dictator.


3. The People’s Mandate Must Be Respected – Anything Less Is Treason

Governor Siminalayi Fubara was elected by the people in a free and fair election. Any attempt to overthrow that mandate is treasonous and must be met with resolute resistance. This is not 1983. This is not a military dictatorship. And we are not afraid.

Let Tinubu and his collaborators be warned: The people of Rivers State will defend their mandate with every lawful force available.



4. No to One-Party Dictatorship – Nigeria Is Not a Private Estate

This declaration of emergency is nothing but an attempt to reduce Rivers State to a political colony and Nigeria into a one-party dictatorship. But this sinister script will fail.

There is no war in Rivers. No violence. No breakdown of order. What then justifies this illegal emergency, if not greed and obsession with power?


5. Our Demands and Final Warning

We issue the following demands, and we do so with a clear voice and unshakable resolve:

We reject and resist the unconstitutional declaration of a State of Emergency in Rivers State.

We reaffirm our total allegiance to Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the sacred will of the people.

We call on President Tinubu to immediately reverse this disgraceful and treasonous action.

We call on the National Assembly to rise to its constitutional duty and REJECT this illegal emergency declaration. Failure to act will make them accomplices in the murder of democracy.

We urge the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria to rise and speak up. Today it is Rivers—tomorrow it may be your state.

**We call on the International Community—ECOWAS, African Union, United Nations, and global defenders of democracy—**to take a firm stand against this creeping dictatorship.

We call on the Nigerian Army and security agencies to remember their constitutional loyalty is to the people, not to a tyrant. The question is: Will you uphold the constitution, or will you turn your guns on the very citizens you swore to protect?

Let it be known: if a single innocent Rivers citizen is killed in the name of this illegal takeover, President Tinubu will be held personally responsible before history and humanity.




6. Occupy Now : The Battle for Democracy Has Begun

We call on all Rivers people youths, women, elders, workers, civil society group to occupy all democratic spaces. This is not just a protest. It is a resistance movement. It is a call to defend our rights, our constitution, our future.

Let President Tinubu hear us loud and clear: Rivers State will not be conquered. Rivers people will not be intimidated. And democracy will not die under our watch.

If this tyranny is allowed to stand, the very soul of Nigeria is at risk. But we will fight back peacefully, lawfully, but fiercely.

*STATE OF EMERGENCY IN RIVERS STATE: TINUBU FINALLY UNMASKED HIMSELF*

The Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers (SGM) has condemned and rejected in strong term the unconstitutional declaration of a State of emergency by President Tinubu who suspended the democratically elected Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, his Deputy, and appointed Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas(rtd) to govern Rivers State.

" Rivers People and Nigerians listened with regret and disappointment to the national broadcast by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it was a completely violation of the 1999 Constitution, full of biase against Rivers people.

Rivers People were confused , wanting to know who was really supporting and behind the drama in Rivers Political crises both through the Supreme Court ,but not until a State of emergency was declared by the man who claim to be a hero of Nigeria democracy that we know for sure Mr. Tinubu, as he finally unmasked himself as the man behind Rivers Political travails.

The action of President Tinubu therefore clearly borders on attempt at State capture, no wonder he fast-tracted the so called oil resumptions in Ogoniland , just to forcefully take over Rivers State but he will be resisted and highly disappointed.

Governor Fubara was democratically elected for a tenure of four years which cannot be unconstitutional abridged. We are not under military regime and Military cannot rule us .

What is in Rivers State that cannot be found in Lagos State? Is Mr. Tinubu not yet satisfied with Lagos Treasuries he has acquired even as Nigerian President?

The group lamented that President Tinubu only considered the interest of Wike against that of the Rivers People. The group also demand to know ," what really warranted the imposition of emergency rule in Rivers State ? Or is Mr. President turning Rivers into one party State or Nigeria into a fiefdom? This is a pure case of dictatorship because nobody has died, no gun shot , or it's only for him and wike to loot the resources of Rivers State? Or maybe Mr. President has been advised wrongly against Rivers State?

We were all aware how President influenced the Supreme Court judgements against our people. We are also aware how he Masterminded the governor failed impeachment attempts. We were aware of all his scripts , using Wike and his 27 Pro-Assembly members.

The group Director General, Hon. Norisia Wilfred Pepple, call on the president to recall decision in the best interest of the constitution and practice of democracy under his administration.

He also used the medium to call on all Rivers People and our youths to occupy government today because it's not against Governor Siminalayi Fubara but us as Rivers citizens.

RIVERS POLITICS: SIMPLIFIED GRASSROOTS MOBILIZERS WILL ENSURE COMPETENT LEADERS EMERGE, WARNS AGAINST UNDERMINING GOVERNOR FUBARA'S PEACEFUL NATURE.*


In the midst of the unending Political crisis between the FCT Minister, his 27 Pro-Assembly members and Governor Fubara ahead of the 2027 elections, the Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers (SGM) has vowed to ensure the emergence of leaders such as Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The body vowed to ensure that competent leaders emerge alongside Fubara in 2027.

The Director General of the group, Hon. Norisia Wilfred Pepple, disclosed this via a statement he issued on Friday during an Expanded Executives General meeting in Port Harcourt.

The statement reads, “On Friday , 7th March 2025, the Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers SGM took a significant step forward by successfully hosting its first National Working Committee meeting in the year 2025, which includes; National officers, Zonal officers, State Executives , State Advisory and LGA Coordinators. This milestone gathering brought together key stakeholders who reaffirmed their commitment to unity and strategic action in the collective mission to build a Simplified Rivers State.

The group has an unwavering commitment to develop and ensure that competent (value-based) leaders such as Siminalayi Fubara re-emerge in our political space as we march towards 2027 general elections.

The group also warns the 27 Pro-Wike Assembly members not to undermine the peaceful nature of her principal, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS. The group gave the warning in a statement its Director General, Hon. Norisia Wilfred Pepple, saying war songs are for those without vision and has nothing to offer the society they live, suçh as the 27 Pro-Wike Assembly members that have nothing to offer Rivers people.

It claimed that these are indications of political assaults on Fubara in order to rubbish his rich and enviable records and pedigree. All the campaign of calumny against Governor Fubara will continue to fail in the face of logic as the man lives in the minds of the people.

"It will only be an act of feigning ignorance or mischief if anyone living in Rivers State is oblivious of the tremendous and daring but short-lived pro-people policies and program Governor Fubara has designed and implemented within one year in office.”

The Special Assistant On Youths And Sports To The Executive Governor Of Rivers State, Hon. Norisia promised to uproot and expose their identities for the world to see the faces of treachery and shenanigans, saying Fubara “is serving Rivers diligently.

"Hundreds of thousands of youths and more will still benefits from his people-oriented policies,” the statement pointed out.

It cited the governor’s huge investment in Tourism, Art, and Culture, noting that the youths of the state “will remain his pride and ambassadors in how great policies can transform lives and society in a 21st-century economy.”

According to the statement, the youths are the true vanguards of how Rivers State can continue to fulfil its potentials.

The meeting served as a platform for meaningful dialogue, with members aligning on the path forward. Discussions reinforced the importance of organisation, coordination, and active participation to drive the movement’s mission and vision.

Leaders and Members left with a renewed sense of purpose, fully aware of the responsibility ahead and the urgency of action.

48HRS ULTIMATUM, DEFECTOR’S CONTRADICTIONS EXPOSED: A CALL FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND AN END TO POLITICAL RASCALITY- SGM

The recent actions of certain former Rivers assembly members have raised serious concerns about their consistency, credibility, and commitment to responsible governance. With overwhelming facts and evidence of their defections before the Federal High Court (FHC) in Port Harcourt, their current stance is both hypocritical and misleading.

The Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers-SGM, a Pro-Fubara Political pressure group has joint well meaning Nigerians and Rivers people in condemning the calls by the 27 Pro-Wike Former Assembly Members , saying such calls has already exposed them to the needless war and self-imposed on Rivers people.

The group alleged that their calls was part of the Political game is to rubbish pro-people projects His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS have successfully implemented meaningfully in the lives of Rivers people as to compared previous administration.

Speaking at a press briefing early hour on Tuesday in Portharcourt, Hon. Norisia Wilfred Pepple, Director General of Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers SGM, and Special Assistant On Youths And Sports To The Executive Governor Of Rivers State stated that "These defectors, who no longer have legitimate standing, are now attempting to dictate governance by issuing an unreasonable 48-hour ultimatum for the presentation of the 2025 budget. This demand is not only laughable but also contradicts their self-declared recess. How can individuals who claim to be on recess turn around and issue executive mandates? Such actions are a clear display of political confusion and desperation".

He noted that "A recess, by definition, signifies a temporary suspension of official duties, during which no formal legislative business is conducted. Yet, in a move that defies logic, these former assembly members have unilaterally declared a recess while simultaneously demanding urgent executive action. This paradoxical stance raises serious questions about their true intentions and their understanding of governance".

Furthermore, the demand for the 2025 budget within an unrealistic 48-hour timeframe disregards established legislative procedures and appears to be a deliberate attempt to create unnecessary tension. Budget preparation is a meticulous process that requires careful deliberation, stakeholder engagement, and transparency. Rushing such a critical financial document under politically motivated pressure is neither in the best interest of the people nor in line with democratic principles, he said .



The group strongly challenges these former members on their baseless demands and warns them against making reckless and unguided utterances capable of inciting unrest. Governance must not be turned into a tool for political theatrics, and the people of Rivers State will not be deceived by such double standards. The public deserves leaders who uphold integrity, consistency, and the rule of law.


Hon. Norisia further warn that "The era of political rascality by these former members must come to an end. Their attempts to manipulate the system and create disorder will not be tolerated. Governance must remain a structured and principled process, free from the selfish interests of defectors who no longer have the moral right to speak on legislative matters.

He emphasised that citizens who appreciate the governor's ongoing efforts and peaceful governance will resist any Political schemes aimed at unseating Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

According to the statement, " Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers SGM and Rivers Youths is ready to match action with action to ensure that governance remains focused on genuine service to the people, rather than being disrupted by those who have lost their political credibility.".

He also remind Wike that he is no longer the governor of Rivers State and citicized him for moving around with security escorts, allegedly to maintain an illusion of popularity among his supporters.

The statement said the group and Rivers people"has no doubt in the capacity of the current administration added to the layers of progress required to take Rivers to the desired greater heights."

It noted that governor Fubara's focus is " to bring about development and improve life to the people living and working in Rivers. The group said : " The People of Rivers will not forget in a hurry the governor who is serving them profoundly, diligently and with a soul.
" Let this be a call to order on susceptible people to desist from being used as puppets in perpetrating tomfooleries in Rivers state and attacking His Excellency Sir , Governor Siminalayi Fubara for needless Political gain. A word is enough for the wise".

"We call on all well-meaning citizens of Rivers State to disregard these misleading claims and support leadership that is committed to due process, accountability, and the collective progress of the state."

The group reaffirmed its commitment to defending Governor Siminalayi Fubara leadership against any attempt to undermine his administration.

*SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENTS : SIMPLIFIED GRASSROOTS MOBILIZERS (SGM) SUES FOR CALM, CALL ON PBAT NOT TO ALLOW JUDICIAL INJUSTICE IN RIVERS UNDER HIS WATCH.*

3rd March 2025

The Director General of Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers (SGM), Hon. Norisia Wilfred Pepple, has urged all members of the group and the people of Rivers State to remain calm and adhere to the rule of law following the recent Supreme Court judgments.

In a verdict delivered on Friday 28th February, 2025, the Supreme Court of Nigeria, sitting in Abuja, nullified the October 2024 Rivers State local government elections and ordered fresh elections for the 23 local government chairmen and councilors.

Addressing members and coordinators of SGM who visited on Sunday at his resident in Portharcourt to Felicitates and congratulates him on the successful completion of his Yaa/Okuku Kaka marriage rites in Okrika and Opobo/Nkoro LGAs, Hon. Norisia described the ruling as a temporary judicial setback.

"I urge all members to remain calm as our legal team is conducting a thorough review of the judgments, they will pursue all appropriate legal remedies to ensure justice is served"

Hon. Norisia who is also the Special Assistant On Youths And Sports To The Executive Governor Of Rivers State, reaffirmed that His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, remains the constitutionally recognized Governor of Rivers State and continues to embody the people’s mandate for progressive governance until 2031.

“I am confident that the will of the people, as expressed through democratic principles, will ultimately prevail. We will pursue all legal avenues to uphold the legitimacy of our mandate.


“Despite persistent legal and political challenges, we remain resolute in our commitment to defending the democratic choice of Rivers people and ensuring the continued implementation of the administration’s development agenda.”

Hon. Norisia further underscored the people’s unwavering confidence in Governor Siminalayi Fubara, emphasizing his commitment to inclusive governance, peace, and sustained progress across all ethnic and political divides.

“Our Principal and Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, remains a unifying leader who is dedicated to fostering unity, development, and social stability across Rivers State.

We strongly urge all members of our family ,the SGM and citizens of the state to disregard any misleading interpretations of the Supreme Court’s decision, which are being propagated by individuals seeking to destabilize the state.”
The SGM leadership reaffirmed its steadfast support for Governor Fubara and called on all members across the 23 LGAs to remain law-abiding and peaceful.

“While some may seek to instigate discord, Rivers State remains a peaceful and law-abiding entity. We urge our members to exercise restraint and avoid any actions that could undermine the peace, security, and stability of our dear state under the leadership of His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS.”

Speaking further , the Director General of Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers SGM, Hon. Norisia called on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria , His Excellency senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to allow any form of injustice under his watch as he was aware the president then former Governor of lagos state was a victim of this scenario.

"I'm aware Mr. President was a victim of the same kind of state government allocation being withheld as a governor of Lagos State and I Hon. Norisia Wilfred Pepple was one of the few persons then in Rivers State with Late Ogbo Muem Kpagane that led a consistent and steady protest in favour of Tinubu and Lagos State against the federal government injustice of holding back Lagos State government allocation then until the funds where released".

Hon. Norisia said he is surprised, shocked and it's hard to believe that Tinubu is today watching the same injustice on Rivers State government under his watch as president Of Nigeria and Father of Nigerians.

SGM VOWS TO PROTECT CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY AGAINST FUBARA, BACKS GOV. FUBARA's RE-ELECTION BID .

Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers SGM, a formidable Political pressure group in Rivers State, on Tuesday 18 February, 2025, has raised concerns about a campaign of calumny orchestrated by desperate Politicians against the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS. Also, the group has warned the 27 former law makers in the Rivers State House of Assembly and their pay Master against their failed alleged ploy to unseat Governor Siminalayi Fubara and vowed to resist what it described as Political maneuvers and evil machinations.

The group which promised to support Governor Siminalayi Fubara's re-election bid said, no vacancy in the Portharcourt white house, comes 2027.

The group expressed dismay that Governor Fubara has , over the years since assumption of office, faced media trials , untold attacks, and blackmail by desperate Politicians eyeing his office, describing it as unfortunate.

"We have information nocturnal about Wike's meetings ,but we are telling him that it will never see the light of the day as Rivers citizens and electorates know the Siminalayi Fubara has established a sound political structure and development model for growth and so won't be decieved.

Addressing journalists during a press release held at Portharcourt about emerging political development in Rivers ahead of the 2027 general elections,the Director General of Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers-SGM, Hon. Norisia Wilfred Pepple, Special Assistant On Youths And Sports To The Executive Governor Of Rivers State, explained ,"It has come to our notice that the Former Rivers Governor and former 27 Assembly members who defected from PDP to APC, are working underground to pull our hardworking and indefatigable Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara down despite obvious and glaring development and growth since assumption of office as the Executive Governor.

While recalling genesis of the bad blood against Governor Siminalayi Fubara , the group said," Defiant and determined , the forces against the Governor and Rivers people are not unfamiliar. These false narratives have only fed the starving Political hawks who are desperate to ensure Fubara should have been removed from Office by all means even when their impeachment attempts failed.

"Instead of the former Governor and his former 27 Assembly members to provide evidence against their defections , they continued to lie to Nigerians and Rivers people , adopted a Fight to Finish approach rather follow due legal processes to defend themselves.

"We are not here to mince words, but here to tell them that we have uncovered all their evil plans to work against Governor Siminalayi Fubara come 2027 general elections . Secondly, we are here to tell the good citizens of Rivers State that we are very impressed and satisfied with Governor Siminalayi Fubara's visionary leadership and commitment to good governance despite the distraction by the enemies of the state ."

Hon. Norisia, however appealed to Rivers people not to fall for gimmicks, and must stand to protect the Fubara-led government who is working hard to make Rivers great .

The Director General of Simplified Grassroots Mobilizers SGM, Hon. Norisia however said,

"There are several issues and debt burden inherited by Governor Fubara's administration,yet for peace to reign he has decided that due process be followed to unravel the truth about it .

"But as it is now, Wike's seem not want peace and we are battle ready to fight on behalf of Governor Siminalayi Fubara to liberate Rivers people from shackles of debt burden, high handedness and imposition of stooges as Governor come 2027 ."

Speaking further he said,"As citizens, who have seen the work in progress and sound peaceful initiatives by the Governor ,we vow to resist all political maneuvers and evil Machinations by the former Governor to unseat our leader and Governor.

SCDA WANTS KILLERS OF NDOONEE'S BROUGHT TO BOOK, ASSURES OF LASTING PEACE WITH KPONG.

His Royal Highness , King Frank NuleNam JP, Mene Bua Sogho and Members of Sogho Central Development Authority-SCDA, on tuesday 29th Oct., received the Executive Chairman of Khana LGA, Hon. Martins Nwigbo and team at his Palace, Teka Sogho. The visits was to condole with Bua Sogho on the tragic death of her Son, Comr. Ndika Benson Ndoonee and in seeking lasting peace with Kpong Community.

After a brief brainstorming and monarchical blessings at his palace, the council Boss and team were led by HRH, King Frank NuleNam JP, to Eete Bue Zor and Luusue.

Speaking at Zor town square, HRH, King Mene Frank NuleNam JP, asked that the circumstances surrounding the killing of Comr. Ndoonee Benson Ndika, renowned community leader, be thoroughly investigated and the culprits brought to book.

Describing the incident on Monday 7th October , 2024, as unfortunate and heart-breaking, the King through the Executive Chairman , Hon. Martins Nwigbo to the Judicial Panel of Inquiry under the Chairmanship of Hon. Justice I.R. Minakiri, set up by Govt. Fubara, not hesitate to deploy the required resources with the view of unmasking those behind the dastard act and ensuring that the crime did not become part of unresolved murder cases in history.

Cries out , Mene Frank said the killers of late Comr. Ndoonee Benson Ndika , at the Rector lodge Bori, Venue of the swearing-in of vice Chairman and Councilors of khana legislative Members are not unknown gunmen but known by those at the coridor of power in khana LGA. He warn of playing Politic with the death of Comr. Benson, or pretending the killers are not known to them.

He also pleaded with the police command to unravel the circumstances surrounding what transpired and to ensure that the Perpetrators are unmasked.

While expressing sympathy to the families of the deceased, Mene Frank assured that no effort would be spared in bringing whosoever is responsible of the heinous crime to daylight.

Speaking further, HRH, King, Mene Frank called on the Executive Chairman of Khana LGA, Hon. Martins Nwigbo that his administration should continue to strengthen the khana security architecture across the 19 wards to ensure that khana would never be conducive to criminals. He said the killing of Comr. Ndoonee Benson Ndika, will be a test case as much is been expected of his administration to fetch out both the sponsorer and Perpetrators of this dastard act on his first official Assignment in office.

He assures the khana Council Boss of the Bua readiness to support his administration especially through the Sogho Central Development Authority and Sogho Central Security Watch.

In a another remarkable effort to resolve a long-standing boundary dispute between Luusue Sogho and Kpong community in Khana Local Government Area, by the Council Chairman, Hon. Martins Nwigbo.

The chairman addressed the Luusue and people at eete Luusue, assuring them of a lasting solution as the newly formed committee is determined to put an end to the lingering issue. Hon. One piece of communication that accompanies our nonverbal reactions is silence. More often than not, the meaning of silence depends on the communication situation and context. We convey approval, disapproval, anger or other messages through a silent response.

Mene Bua Sogho, His Royal Highness , King Mene Frank Nule Nam JP, GBENEAKPARA 111, has said that criminal elements in Bua Sogho will no longer have a place to hide.

The King said this on Saturday July 13th, 2024 at the traditional marriage ceremony of Bue Teka Sogho Youth President, Mr. Nkeh David Bakwa and Mrs. Esther kperepe, of both late Mr. Kperepe Akeego, and late Mr. Sampson Nkeh Deezia, all of Teka Sogho, khana LGA, Rivers State.

He told the gathering that his new security tactics would go a long way in effectively addressing the security and crimes challenges experienced in Sogho and its environs in recent times even as its remain under controlled.

His Royal Highness, said others of his primary responsibility was to ensure the safety and security of its citizenry, and that he has taken the decision to put security and crimes as top of his administration priority in line with the commitment of his administration to maintain peace and transform all parts of the community.

He added that no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphere of chaos, fear and uncertainty about the safety of lives and property of residents.

“The security and safety of residents of our dear community cannot and will not be compromised. This is why this administration, in partnership with well-meaning individuals and security agencies are working effectively to address perceived crimes related activity being experienced in the community.

“With the renewed strategies and tactical unit we now set up , among others, all criminal elements within Sogho and its environs, will have no place to hide,” the King said.

He further commended his councils, CDC's , Youth , women , Political and religion leaders for substaining the peace enjoyed over four years now , interruptedly . Encouraging them to ensure that criminals do not have a safe haven in any part or near their homes.

According to the King, incidences of violent and crime in Sogho will be tackled headlong in line with the renewed vigour and commitment of our administration and with the help of police and other security agencies.

HRH, who stressed the importance of community involvement in fighting crime, specifically urged community leaders and all residents of the axis to support the community leadership, especially the Youth leadeship and security personnel whenever crimes is notice or committed.

He also asked them not hesitate to pass on useful information that would help in tracking down criminally minded persons in the area.

The monarch also used the occasion to called on parents to watch their children movements in order to avoid any illegal acts in the society, "I urge you all parents to be watchdogs over your children". Adding that there is need for everyone as a parent to show discipline and caution their children anywhere they are in order to tackle the menace of drugs and alcoholism.
The monarch who therefore directed the entire community heads to concentrate on the community policing in order to reduce the high rate of crime and drugs abused in the societies.

The King who was accompanied by his Dear Wife, the Queen, and Council members, gave the latest couple his monarch blessings and prayed for sustenance of love, long life and good health in their marriage, advising them to avoid third party.

Mr. Nkeh David Bakwa, is the current Youth President of Bue Teka Sogho, khana LGA, Rivers State. The mother , Mrs. Deezia Muesu Justina, is the first daughter of late Elder Ntaah Augustine Biirazege, Gbene-NneeAgbaa. He is a cousin brother to Distg. Comr. Nubor Optimist Goteh.

The compound of late Mr. Kperepe Akeego and late Mr. Samson Nkeh Deezia was a sight to behold as the whole area glittered with decorations befitting the occasion.

The traditional marriage ceremony between Mr. Nkeh David Bakwa and Mrs. Esther Kperepe of Teka Sogho, kicked off with the bride greeting their guests with her Ashuaebi girls flaunting round her with glamour and style as they danced to the tunes of a melodious music.

She later came out the second time, cladded on another attire, matching with that of her husband as she showed the spectators her husband by handing over a cup of palm wine which was given to her by her father, just as the ogonis customs demand.

With that done, celebrations began in earnest at the Ascension Apostolic Church Teka Sogho, the reception venue, with a lot of sumptuous dishes and assorted drinks as the family entertained their guests.

The traditional marriage ceremony , which took place over the weekend brought together traditional rulers, Youth, men and women of class in Sogho and beyond.

In his speech, the President / Chairman of Gbene-NneeAgbaa Group of Families (Ntaah's), Elder Ntaah Paul Menekpugi , thanked God for uniting the couple, noting that it is a welcome development and additional feathers to the Ntaah's.

The Secretary of Gbene-NneeAgbaa Group Of Families (Ntaah's), Distg. Comr. Nubor Optimist Goteh, performed the toasting and bless his cousin's.

The father of the bride , thanked God for the union of their children and prayed for them to multiply and bear fruits.

In their various speeches , said it is a good thing to join the two in marriage, and prayed for the blessings of marriage to be their lot.

Among dignities who graced the occasion were paramount rulers , CDC Chairmen, Youth and women leadeship, football clubs, Associations ,among others.

To the couple, Nkeh David Bakwa and Esther, theirs was a union found in love, as they looked forward to growing higher in love till their old age.

The couples Mr. and Mrs. Bakwa, who could not hide their joy were full of gratitude to God and well-wishers that graced the event.

Yesterday Saturday 3/2/2024 marks another remarkable day in the Npianu's dynasty of Zor , Bua Sogho Khana LGA , Rivers. It was an official Marriage introduction and dowry payment for Miss Nkiwa Victory , the CEO Of Vicky's Professional Hair Touch, in the city of Portharcourt, Rivers, now officially known and address as Mrs. Ezekiel Nkiwa Victory. Mr. Ezekiel Peter Etuk is from Akwa Ibon State .

Though official invitation was not sent out as it was only an indoor event with a short noticed to the family members and few relatives . This process was in preparatory to the already plans Traditional Marriage ceremony which will be announce soon where well-wishers, friends and VIP will be officially inform and invited.

Family members present express happiness, joy and wish them well . The event became more colorful and stylist as the Npianu's took over the stage to honoured their Sister, Mrs. Ezekiel. According to them , their shows of happiness was an indication of the bound of unity among the Npianu's and their daughters/girls , describing them as the best and true house wife any Man need .
Admonishing Mrs. Ezekiel Victory, Mrs. Baridoo Joy Ndiwaa said "You must represent what we stand for , we are virtuous Women, we are humble , we discipline, caring , we build and comfort the home and we are always obedience to our husband".

A frontier political- interest and social-political group, Progressive Ambassadors Movement (PAM) , has inaugurated its national executive officers from 36 states of the federation to commence campaign for the support of President Tinubu's led Federal Government and State Government across the 36 States.

The agenda of the group is to enlighten and educate people at the grassroots on the programmes and policies of the Tinubu's led administration especially on the Renew hope projects and watchdog to States government.

According to the group, they decided to come together in order to strengthen Nigeria democracy and make Nigeria great again , with the aim of uniting and helping strengthen the Nigeria democracy.

In her Inaugural speech, the Global Convener/National Coordinator Amb. Comr. Edeh Paschal Miracle , assured Nigerians of a positive change "I want to assure us that Progressive Ambassadors Movement (PAM) is not just any movement; it is a force for change, a catalyst for transformation and beacon of hope for a brighter tomorrow".

"the Progressive Ambassadors Movement has been built on the principles of unity, inclusivity and a share vision for a better future, in days, weeks and months ahead, we will face new obstacles and encounter new opportunities, we will build bridges, break barriers, and forge a path towards a more inclusive and equitable society", he added.

The PAM is a interest group that is geared towards the development of Nigerians and for lovers of the progress of youth.

The Global Converner, Amb. Paschal, while inaugurating the national and zonal executives of the group, urged them to take the campaign to every doorstep in the country.

Amb. Paschal said that the movement was established to cater for the genuine interest of Nigerians at the grassroots because PAM had made efforts to register at all the polling units in the federation.

He said Ward and unit executive in each polling unit across the country will “manage the interest and concerns of the members, monitor and protect their votes during any general elections .”

According to Paschal, PAM will intensify its campaign towards ensuring that President Tinubu and renew hope Programme is heard and continue with the good work he has started in the country.

“From these polling units, sensitisation of the government programmes will continually be made on best democratic practices.

“Through this movement, we are making conscious effort to train future leaders and to establish those youth economically.

The Progressive Ambassadors Movement is at the forefront of asking the youth and Nigerians to key into President Tinubu’s policies and programmes.

“When we sensitise and showcase the good work of Mr President to the people, then we’ll be certain that we have done much.

The event which took place on Wednesday the 29th of November 2023 at Chida International Hotel Otaku District, Garki Abuja Nigeria, also witnessed award presentation to guests and members.

Presenting the awards, the Global Convener urge other members of Progressive Ambassadors Movement (PAM) to work hard in order to be organized as the awards was not base on money, but hard work and contribution towards humanity.

One of the Awardee Dr. Ntatam Emmanuel Sunday which hails from Osuk Ediene in Ikono LGA of Akwa Ibom State with a PhD degree in Entrepreneurship from Universidad Empresarial De Costa Rica while speaking encouraged the Global Convener/National Coordinator and all members of PAM to remain focus and work hard as he believe that Nigeria will be great again. "I am grateful to God almighty for this honor and I want to encourage you all to remain focus, work hard and always try your best to help one another".

Other Awardees includes: Hon. Barr. Chioma Nweze, former SSA to the Governor of Ebonyi state on investment and former commissioner for trade on investment and now SSA to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Community Development South East. The event was graced by many dignitaries. The Mother of the day Lion Mrs. Chibota Maureen Edozie, who was represented by Princess Joy Idam in her speech urge the group to work closely and in line with the vision of Mr President for the betterment of the people.

She also charged members of Progressive Ambassador Movement (PAM) and other guest that were present to promote the campaign against rape, as it is doing more harm than good to the girls child.

In his remarks, the National Secretary of the movement, Hon. Usman Y. Ballay , reiterated that the objective of the movement was to bring Nigerians in the country together and galvanise them towards the government’s activities for the benefit of the common man itself.

He said that PAM would serve as the bridge between the people and the government.

Ballay further stressed that President Tinubu have a good plan for Nigerians.

“He has the energy, the quality, the knowledge and he has experience.”

“We are ready to collaborate with any group or internal organization that share in our vision and objective, Nigerians should encourage president Tinubu,” he added.

On behalf of the Bue Akporo Community Development Committee CDC/Town Hall
Building Committee, I heartily welcome you all to this historic event today in our life time.
I stand to speak before this distinguished audience today with the full awareness that this is
not only the most significant moments in my life as an individual, but also, one with rare
and extra ordinary significance that I can only regard as a sublime privilege to serve my
people and draw meaningful projects closer to you.
Distinguished guests, for the past four months, I dedicated myself to the onerous task of
being a leader of this Great Bue Akporo-Sogho, Confident in the belief that Heavenly
Father who enthrones leaders shall, by this esteem assemblage of able Distinguished
guests, Chiefs in council, guarantee our collective success today .
Respected guests, I therefore welcome you to this gathering, and also thank every one of
you for your sacrifice and love to be here and in making this day come true.
Fundamentally, I dedicate this to Heavenly Father for He has provided all that was needed
to make this day an important milestone in my leadership drives and administrative
profiles.
I specially thank the paramount ruler of Akporo-Sogho, Sir Mene Engr. Abel Torue
Abalubu KJW, for finding me Worthy to pilot the affairs of this great Community/
Committees at this critical time of transformation and development.
I also thank the Prince of the land, Hon. Abalubu Prince Lenee and the Leadership of Bue
Akporo Sogho and my Committee members for their self-evident pledge of positive
disposition to this administration in order to move it to lofty heights. I salute your
developmental mindset and commitment.
I most sincerely thank the clergy and churches for their prayers and to all our youth across
board, irrespective of your houses and challenges along the line. I urge you to, at all times,
and in all circumstances, always embrace the time honoured virtue of dialogue, shun all
social vices and stop all acts of criminology and remember that you and I are not above the
law of the land.
Today, we are all here sitting before history and to make/mark another history. Ladies and
gentlemen, please, I seek your humble permission to acknowledge the progress we have
made or achieves thus far:
The Town Hall Building Committee was formed and inaugurated on Tuesday 25th July,
2023, about 11:46am at Eete AKporo Sogho by the Chief and Council of Bue Akporo
Sogho. The Committee under my Leadership immediately went into action. The
Committee Members are person of trust, integrity, determination and are oriented
/educated in Community Development with experienced.
In our first meeting held same day, we took our time to review available documents/works
done by the previous Committee and we discovered that monies raised from their first
Launching were used for the purchase of 20 bags of cement and molding of over 700
blocks and other expenses related to their project.
On Saturday 26th August, 2023 at Eete Akporo, during her Town square meeting. The
committee was called upon by the paramount ruler of Akporo Sogho, Mene Sir. Engr. Abel
Torue Abalubu KJW, and Council to give report of our work, plans and actions so far. Well,
after our report, a motion was moved for the dissolvement of the previous CDC and
Committee led by Elder Nubor Hart Roland, due to what they said was their negligence
and noncommitmet to task at hand. Mene Sir. Engr. Abel Torue Abalubu KJW, on the
motion moved after critical review, dissolved them and adopted our committee on another
ground of motion as the new Community Development Committee CDC, of Bue Akporo
Sogho and was supported by 95% of those present at the Town square. Once again,
Congratulations to us and Bue Akporo Sogho.
Though it has not been easy with us, but we have always enjoyed the support of the chief in
Council and majority of our people. We have been arrested severally, summoned both at
the Alter and shrined. Our lives have been threatened and we ran for our safety. We have
been petitioned, called names even as cult Leaders. Our characters and integrity have been
damaged and assassinated unwarrantedly.
As a team of strategists and oriented in achieving set goals, we were not moved by this
distractors but all eyes on the ball. We actually planned for two launching, the mini
launching and the Official foundation laying/launching. On Saturday 31/9/2023, our
committee held her mini launching in the midst of threat where we were able to raised
reasonable amount of money. And today we have also gathered here for the official 500
Capacity Gbene-Nsoo Town Hall Building/foundation laying, under the distinguished
Chairmanship/ Foundation Bearer , Rt. Hon. Sir Dumnamene Robinson Dekor (KJW)
DSSRS, and all our distinguished/respected guests.
Again, our distinguished/respected guests. I am fully aware that many kept asking/saying,
how and where does this small Akporo have the money from to execute this magnificent
project in our history. Many, almost everyone are also aware that HYPREP visited us on
Monday 4/9/2023. Our Committee was a beneficiary of their coming as I was given
#210,000. As a Community and Leader, we sat down together knowing that there's a big
project before us. We agreed that CDC should remit #100,000, Youth #50,000, and
Women #20,000. Out of it, we bought 1000 blocks, one trip of 3/8, and embarked on many
steps that took us to here today. Others were shared among our people whether big or
small, accepted or denied.
After our mini launching on 31/9/2023, we also:
1. Bought 650 blocks
2. Paid for our building plan
3. Officially consults our landlord and performed all Compound rites, and we all know
what that means.
4. Made/ paid compensation to all those affected and are willing to accept it by the use of
the land.
5. Rebuild a new two room toilet for the family as demanded by one of the major
affectants.
6. Embark on other consultations to some designated families/compounds as required.
7. Clearing of site and other settlements.
8. Writing/sending of Courtesy letters, invitation cards/letters, and many others that aided
our gathering here today.
Distinguished/respected guests, sorry for taking much of your time on this attempt to put
some records straight. To me, it's pertinent, I do it in the midst of this unending war against
my Committee and the leadership of Bue Akporo Sogho by some individuals that have set
themselves out as "anti Development of Bue Akporo" and their continued defamation of
our reputation before the public and amongst their folks and where we hope to seek for
supports to aid this project.
Today, I extend my sincere call for inclusiveness and on all parties, groups, Sons and
Daughters of Akporo, and our helpers to trust this Committee under my Leadership with
your supports in cash or kind. Our door of peace and reconciliation has always been open
and will be open till tomorrow until we are all united, to build a better Akporo Community
for our generation ad children unborn.

accomplish and achieve this project.
This is a day, the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Let us glorify God for His
marvelous deeds and because He is always in perfect control, even as mortals, waivers.
I am overwhelmed with joy with your present and Capacities, but at the same time
humbled that by the grace of God, this project will see the light of the day by your support.
Having set for ourselves ambitious and realizable goals, let us therefore come together as a
team to transform AKPORO SOGHO to a world class community. AKPORO will grow
from strength to strength. It will also emerge as the foremost community in Khana and
beyond so, once more, join us in this formidable and achievable challenge. Thank you all.
