*Tonye Cole: The Change That Rivers State Needs*

Rivers and her inhabitants are disconsolate that an enormously endowed state such as Rivers has been in the throes of under-development and infrastructure deficit since inception of her current Leadership dispensation, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or its variant.

The situation became more rueful in the last seven years under Chief Nyesom Wike, and turned the state into a fiefdom. Evaluating the state of affairs in Rivers , one could said :

“All over the world, government exists and works for the betterment of its people, except in Rivers State where the government has become the problem of the people.

I am marvelled but However, the Rivers 2023 Gubernatorial polls shall gives hope to Rivers and her lovers ,the very desire change they needs , they will get it.

For example, the emergence of Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni , as the Rivers APC Guber , will results and confirmed that when the polity is aggrieved over non-performance of a sitting government, the fraudulent power of incumbency loses its potency, comes 2023.

This reminder is necessary given the significance of the 2023 governorship election. From the forgoing, it is clear that Rivers needs a paradigm shift: A total rejection of the ruling party, political leadership and the social perception that have combined to enslave the people. Perhaps, this is better understood in the words of Steven Covey. He said: “The word paradigm is Greek, originally, a scientific term, and is more commonly used today to mean a model, theory, perception, or a frame of reference.

It’s the way we see the world – not in terms of our visual sense of sight, but in terms of perceiving, understanding and interpreting.” After 7 years of stagnation, emasculation, unfulfilled promises and failed hopes, Rivers are now wiser: They would no longer be fooled by selfish and self-serving leaders.

Having been presented with a choice in political personalities and party programmes, they have identified a candidate whose pedigree, credibility rating and vision tally with the people’s yearnings and expectations.

Naturally, there is a mutual attraction, a symbiosis of intents that instantly galvanised the polity and the upcoming leader, Rivers are now beginning to see governance from a different perspective: proactive, productive and service-oriented engagement.

And it is a fact of life that the way we see and interpret unfolding events affects how we react. That explains why the political drumbeat has changed.

They have realised that it was under Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, that emancipated Rivers State in 2007-2015, and needs same significant development now under his party ,APC and blessed Candidates like Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni .

This equally agrees with the words of Albert Einstein, that: “The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were when we created them.” Rivers is endowed with vast arable land suitable for agriculture; boasts of various mineral resources, including oil and gas which qualify Rivers as an oil-producing state.

Its unexploited tourist attractions include an unlisted forest that could serve as game reserve.

Encompassed with such a cloud of inspiring evidence, Rivers no longer need politicians who use the people as a stepping stone to wealth; but a servant-leader, a visionary who is prepared and willing to use the people as a cornerstone to rebuild and restore the state. Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni ,is the Changed that Rivers State needs .

A former Khana Constituency 11 Rivers House of Assembly aspirant, under the All Progressive Congress (APC) and TeamColekhana LGA Coordinator, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, Mene Zaa 1 Of Africa, on Thursday said Pst . Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni remained the best candidate for Rivers APC and a best choice for the people of Rivers State.

He made the statement during the extraordinary Leadership meeting of TeamColekhana LGA , held at the Khana APC Party Secretariat , Bori, on Thursday 21/7/2022. The meeting comprised of all LGA Executive Members and ward Coordinators, Secretaries and Woman Leaders.

The Nyo-khana Political infantry General said what the Rivers APC and People needed at this critical moment was a committed, energetic, experienced man to redeem and reposition the state .

The Team Coordinator said Rivers people have not enjoyed dividend of democracy and good governance for the past 7 years under the PDP led state government but will regain such dividends when Tonye Cole wins .

“Our State needs a rescue. Our State needs redemption. Our State deserves a balanced, experienced, tested, trusted and a faithful hand.

"Our State needs a team player and a unifying leadership. Our State needs stability , one that is God fearing and have the people at heart .

“Here and now, I am humbly making a stand and a declaration that we preach more to the candidancy of Tonye Cole for the office of the Governor of our dear state . A man with a vision to serve as a bridge builder, as a peace maker and healer of broken pieces," he said.


Mene Zaa however, said Tonye Cole may not have the answers to all the problems of the state but was prepared to work with others to ensure the restoration of its vision.

Giving more reasons why Cole is the best man for the state, he said ,
" Tonye Cole fully understood the precepts, the mechanisms and constitution of the state and that he knew the ethos, the tradition and culture built by founding fathers.

it's not a time to experiment, let someone that knows come to take over and all Rivers should support his aspiration to governance the state,come 2023 " .

Speaking further, in his remarks, the LGA Coordinator, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP (Mene Zaa 1 of Africa), thanked God for Successful wards Tour/Assessment and PVC sensitization round the length and breath of Khana LGA. He also appreciated the commitment and contributions of all LGA Executives and ward leaders, stressing that without all hands being on deck, it would not have been possible.

He finally admonished all leaders of TeamCole at all levels in Khana LGA to remain steadfast and resilient as the next government in Rivers State will be formed by the youths who have worked for it.

Also speaking at the meeting , the LGA Secretary, Elder Maxwell Beeaape Nwigogbor adviced all to go home and ensure men and women of their respective wards use this last few days remaining for INEC's CVR to register and get their PVCs ready as that is the only way we can be sure that our principal, pastor Arch Tonye Patrick Cole mni will make it to the brick house come 2023 which is our ultimate goal.

After presenting the progress reports of the team , in his Goodwill message , the LGA Deputy Coordinator , Comr. Nubor Optimist Goteh, said Tonye Cole has the maturity, the experience, the courage to Govern our State . He has a track record of performance. He will deliver,” Comr. Optimist said.

He also described Cole as a performer who would change the fortunes of the State when elected.

“Apart from the fact that he laboured for the party, he is articulate, strong, courageous and energetic, and I can bet Tonye Cole will give the state the best,” Optimist concluded .

SENATOR ABE CAN BE ON BALLOT IN 2023 ONLY ON APC PLATFORM OR NOWHERE ELSE.

For personal reasons, I've actually avoided this topic over time but people are just forcing me out of my decision.

I am not in any way confrontational to his his views or disrespectful to his well-informed opinion. But I am only insisting on my rights to my considered opinion on the subject matter.

I had actually decided to allow those willing to be brainwashed and be deceived to continue in their gullibility until lies efflux with time.

I had said in private to some persons, even though I am not a lawyer, that I am educated enough to read and understand the import and interpretation of the new electoral law, especially as it relates to the chances of participation of Sen Magnus Abe or anyone else who didn't take part in the primary of a particular political party, in the 2023 elections.

I am not his God, I am not going to be happy over his inability to participate in the Governorship election, but I am not such a person who will succumb to ignorance for sake of satisfying my bias.

I read and make my interpretation and draw my conclusions on all issues with clarity of mind, not minding if it hurts me or not. People who know me in his camp know me for this.

Sen Magnus Abe as at today is statutes barred, he can not be on the ballot for Governorship 2023 again in any other political party except in APC, which isn't going to be possible.

Abe purchased intent and nomination forms in APC when time was set for such event, not in any other political party. He couldn't have purchased forms under two different political parties at the same time.

The section 33 of the new electoral act, in my interpretation, only allows those who participated in the first primaries of a political to take part in any other primary within 14 days, in case their is a formal written withdrawal or death of the candidate who won the first primary.

The political party is only allowed to conduct fresh primary, it isn't mandated to sell fresh nomination forms. Time for sales of nomination forms has ended. This will mean that only a new primary will be conducted with those who participated in the last excercise involved.

In this case, Sen Abe participated in the APC Governorship primaries in Rivers State. He may only have a chance to be on the ballot in Rivers State Governorship election should in case Tonye Cole dies or voluntarily withdraws from the race.

The new electoral act allows, if either of the above events occurs, the APC will now have 14 days within which another primary will be conduct with (ie Sen Abe, Ojukaye, Michael West, Mikkor, Seconte) participating.

Those who did not purchase forms to participate in the first primary of a political party, in this case, the APC, have no locus, according to the new electoral act to take part. Political parties can not begin sales of new nomination forms.

On saying that Sen Abe will be on the ballot for Governorship 2023 under another political party is wrong interpretation of that section in my considered opinion.

If the law did allows only those who participated in the primaries at first instance to take part in the second primary in case of death or written withdrawal, then that section did not envisage that Sen Magnus Abe or any one else who didn't participate in the primaries of another political party to participate or be substituted in the second primary of any other political party.

Only those who participated in the SDP primary or primary in any other political party can benefit from a substitution or have a second chance to partake in another primary in case death or voluntary withdrawal occurs in such political party.

It is on record that Sen Abe contested on APC platform, scored one vote and the records are on the result sheet with INEC.

Sen Magnus Abe did not officially withdraw from contesting the Rivers State APC Governorship primaries when the time allows him to do such.

Sen Magnus Abe contested but only said he will not accept the outcome when he noticed he wasn't going to win.

There exist no communication from Abe withdrawing from the APC or the race. Till this moment, Sen Abe still says he is a member of the APC, but that he is going to be on the ballot. Even if he does now, nothing can change, time has passed.

Take Peter Obi case for example, before the conduct of the PDP Presidential primaries and the expiration of the date set by INEC for the conduct of primaries by political parties, Peter wrote resigning his membership of the PDP and withdrawal from the PDP Presidential primaries race. Obi, within time, joinned the Labour Party and contested LP's primary and won. He is within law to achieve that.

Sen Magnus Abe did not do so. He did not resign from APC, neither did he write a formal withdrawal from the APC gubernatorial race, so he did not participate in the Governorship primaries of any other political party when time allows, except in APC.

The law as at today did not allow those who participated in the primaries of another party to participate in the second primary or benefit from substitution in another political party.

The end of the matter is that TDC is not going to die, neither is he going to withdraw from the race. Even though he withdraws, Sen Abe can't win a second primary in Rivers APC as presently constituted. This is truth.

Even though the court Disqualifies Tonye Cole on grounds that he wasn't qualified to contest Rivers APC gubernatorial primary, which isn't going to happen, the person who took second, that is, Ojukaye will be the only one to inherit the victory, not Sen Magnus Abe who took 4th position.

As at today, the constitution did not allow for independent Candidature.

Write it down and thank me later, this is the truth, Sen Magnus Abe can not be on the ballot for Governorship 2023.

As the 2023 Rivers guber elections draw near, the question on the lips of the people now is: Who will be the next governor of the state that will have links and influence at the federal level to bring about the required development, reverse the effects of bad leadership that has plagued Rivers for over eight years and also foster the spirit of unity among the different ethnic groups in the state?

One candidate who has to stand out from the APC political oven, untainted, and whom most Rivers I have interacted with are placing their bets on is Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni.

Some might be tempted to ask, will ethnicity not play a role in the Rivers 2023? Yes, it will. However, I do not believe that ethnicity would play a critical role in the choice of leadership for the state come the 2023 elections. My assertion is based on the general feedback received from the electorate via opinion polls conducted recently. The people of Rivers state want someone young and smart, a detribalized, Riverside, who is independent and conversant with the plight of the people and can drive the developmental agenda of the state.

I dare say that from the lineup, Tonye Cole has shown the aforementioned traits over time judging from his works and achievements thus far. His track record of performance has endeared him to many in the grassroots even outside of the state, as community leaders from within and outside of his home state have honored him with different titles in appreciation of his good work.

These are testaments to the conclusion that ethnicity will not be a roadblock for Tonye Cole.

The result from the Rivers APC Governorship primaries was a rude shock not because of the capacity and character of the winner but the level of confidence exuded by Tonye Cole as a Governorship candidate and events surrounding the primaries which are common knowledge to all.

The major reason for this timely caution is for everything to be done with utmost foresight and vision right from the very beginning. Everything possible should be done to avoid promoting the wrong candidate that could end up destroying the chances of the ruling party coming to the 2023 governorship race. The Bible talks of special articles that are separated and dedicated for noble use. First impressions cannot be made twice. The right candidate (Tonye Cole) must be fortified, embellished, endorsed, and supported ab initio. While there can be no doubt that one, there is a near astronomic or celestial need to choose the very best and most prospect-full Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni, as presently expressed as interest by Rivernite and I believe the reason is obvious. There are candidates and there are candidates, but there are candidates with which to win and candidates that will lead to losing. This is the reality and not a wishful fact.

There is a time for everything, and by intentional extension, for everyone. Quite mesmerizingly, there are some notable appurtenances about the man, Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole marks him out to be preferred for this August role at this present time in our state.

Tonye Cole is a prolific son of Kalabari land who practices politics without bitterness. He is most unassuming but highly reassuring, industrious, highly articulate, highly personable, increasingly humble, and a team player.

As we cross our fingers to watch Rivers State’s political future unfold, one thing is certain. Now that Cole has emerged as the candidate of the opposition party, it will no doubt inspire, motivate and ginger the youths to vote for APC at the federal level and State as it shows a strong statement that Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni has plans for the youths. The stakes are high and we cannot afford to get it wrong. The task of electing a leader with a vision, as well as the ability to translate such a vision into reality, is a task for all Rivers; at home and abroad.

Besides, he is admirable, very charitable, and knowledgeable in politics and governance, above all, a God-fearing Man.

As I drop my pen on this article, I leave you with a powerful quote from Harry S. Truman. “Men make history and not the other way around. The leadership of TEAMCOLE, a Pro- APC political pressure group, and garvanising supports for Rivers APC GUBER CANDIDATE, Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni, rose from a meeting on Monday 11/7/2022 with a resolution to adopt a more vigorous and strategic campaigns to win the Saturday 11th March, 2023 gubernatorial election.

The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, was held in PortHarcourt, and presided over by the National Convener of the Team, Hon. Rex David.

Pst. Tonye Cole urged the team to double their efforts at winning the election.

He however, also urged the team not to be discouraged by what is playing out within the party currently .

“ Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni was confident that the APC will do well in the 11th March, 2023 election. He told them that the Presidential, National Assembly and Gubernatorial elections should be taken as a challenge that should move everyone into more serious action to win the next round of elections.”

Hon. Rex David, the National Convener of the Team, who felt very excited when speaking with the Team's Media Crew, described the meeting with the Principal as strategic as the team's leadership is ensuring that no stone is left unturned to launch campaigns that will lead to victory comes 2023.

“With what the party and our team has done, we should be sure of victory in the State. We wish to also assure all our candidates in the 2023 elections that the Team will stand with them, campaign with them and work vigourously to ensure their total victory at the polls.

According to a statement issued by the DG, Engr. Ogbilikana Joseph Sampson, the meeting with our principal, Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni was part of the team's strategy in relation to 2023 general elections. Though, the closed door meeting which was at the behest of Hon. Rex David, the Team National Convener, centred on how best to achieve the team's objective, which is to enable Tonye Cole and other APC Candidates win their elections come 2023.

"We are grassroots mobilisers and understand the yearning of the electorates across the 23 LGAs in the State. We have consulted and are here to report to our principal .

All LGA Coordinators are here to give their LGA situation reports. We are working with the party and will be teaming up more, now than we had done.

Rivers 2023 is all about Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole, the people have said so and we are here to ensure that this aspiration of Rivers people is achieved".


On his part , High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, Mene Zaa 1 of Africa and Coordinator of TeamColekhana LGA, who resisted several attempts by the Team's media crew, finally expressed optimism that the victory song will be sung after Saturday 11th March, 2023. A political group, TeamCole, Khana LGA Chapter, has alerted the public to an alleged perceived plot by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to impugn the reputation of governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC , in Rivers State, Pst. Arc. Tonye Patrick Cole mni by spreading false rumours about him, with the view of bringing his name into disrepute.

Former Nyo-khana, Khana LGA Constituency 11 Rivers State House Assembly Aspirant in the just Concluded Rivers APC Primaries, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, Mene Zaa 1 Of Africa, on Sunday said the reputation of the Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC , in Rivers State , Pst. Arc. Tonye Patrick Cole mni , is not in doubt and not questionable.

The perceived alleged planned smear campaign against the APC gubernatorial candidate, according to the group is allegedly being orchestrated by the leadership of PDP in the state.

“We have perceived some plot by sinister looking leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, who are gripped by fear of their imminent defeat at the polls to spread wicked lies about the Reputation and Competence of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in our dear state, Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole mni .

The Nyo-khana Political infantry General and Coordinator of TeamColekhana LGA, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, in a Statement released on Sunday 10/7/2022 , after the Team LGA Leadership and Stakeholders meeting in Bori, said he doesn't agree with some of the extreme views being expressed by some few unstable people .

“The outlandish plot aimed at discrediting Pst. Tonye Cole, a man who has distinguished himself in the business world where integrity is non-negotiable is a new low the PDP has hit under the cloak of playing politics.

“The PDP in Rivers State is pressing the panic button just because of the world class reception Pst. Arc. Tonye's candidacy has been receiving across the state. It is imperative for the plotters to know that their evil machination will not get traction with the voters who are hell bent in seeing an end to the Wike's hegemony and long misrule, which foisted poverty on the generality of the people of the state .

“No leader or ordinary member of PDP has this man’s gravitas and his growing popularity bode disaster for their political careers.

"Today some few Rivers are being paid even trying to infiltrates his supports to say all sorts of things about Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole , labelling him as incompetent, but they will be disapointed at the end ," Mene Zaa added .

The group said the APC gubernatorial candidate’s life is like an open book adding that no right thinking Rivers persons can impugn and Malign Rivers APC Guber Candidate, Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole in the State.

The TeamColekhana LGA in her ongoing PVC Sensitization and Wards Assessments Tour was recieved and given a grantstyle Receptions on Wednesday 4/7/2022 , at Eeken Town Hall, Ward 15, by notable Chiefs and Elders.

In his welcomed address , the Ward Coordinator , a chieftain of APC , Bishop Dr Deekor miracle Christian , assured the visiting team that they are ever ready to follow and support Cole/Barikor 2023.

"Tonye Cole is a good man and meant well for us . We are in supports of Cole/Barikor ticket 2023".

The Team ably led by the LGA Deputy Coordinator, Comr. Nubor Optimist Goteh, then went into a 15 minutes discussion with the three Stakeholders for proper Integration. He also took his time to educates and sensitized Members, using the Teamcole voters fliers on how they can register/revalidate their PVC.

The Ward 15 Units Executives Member and Stakeholders were officially inuagurated across the 23 Units .

In his speech to the sworn-in Units Executives and Stakeholders, Comr. Optimist said ,

" Politics is a game of love and not hatred ".

He further encouraged them to do away with the Politics of eviness and be united .

" Let us all come together to unite our interests as brothers and sisters of same mother because Politics is always and will always be a game of interest".

On the Team choice of Governorship Candidate, the Deputy Coordinator, TeamColekhana LGA, Comr. Optimist said
" Not minding where the APC picked her Governorship Candidate from, the Candidate ,pst. Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick Mni , can be trusted and Believe in. He is a man of Trust and more reliable".

Also, one of the ward Stakeholders , Chief Barile Digbo , in his closing remarked , said "both those that are here or not here are all for Tonye Cole because he appeared more credible and a man that his tongue remained in his mouth . We will try all our possible best to win our ward for him , comes 2023".

TeamColekhana LGA have Kick Started her Wards Tour Assessments and PVC sensitization with the dedication of the team . The service was held on Sunday the 3rd of July, 2022, at Jesus the Almighty Ministries, Bori before going out for the wards Tour, Assessment and Sensitization, at
Ward's 2, Zaakpon, ward 13, Kono ,and Ward 14 , Uegure.
The man of God in charge of the ministry, Pastor Fred offered prayers for the team and the overall success of our principal, pastor Tonye Patrick Cole mni. He said, with service of today, God is on our side, and we should go home and remain prayerful.

After the dedication, the team went to ward 2 , Zaakpon where 12 units Excos of the ward were Inuagurated. Others that were Inuagurated are the ward Stakeholders holder, namely: Gbole Nemeka I., Goddy Baseghe , Akor Tony Sornata, Comr. Isaiah Adoo JB, SA to the state APC Youth leader . He applauded team and reassured the party readiness at the ward to delivered pst. Arc. Tonye Cole , comes 2023.

At Ward 13, Kono Bo-ue, 23 Units Executives Member were inaugurated and sensitizatize. It also started with an opening prayer by chairperson of the wards women leader's Forum ,Mrs Rachel.
The Ward 13 Stakeholders, Hon. Gordon M. Tornwe , Hon. Kenneth L. Johnson ,and Comr. Barika P. R. Lah Naewii , were all inaugurated sequentially.

Speaking on behalf of Woman's Forum, the Chairperson , Miss Rachel K. Kpeeka , encouraged the woman to step up their game when it comes to politics. She however assured all the women of good leadership and equal right.
While addressing the people, the LGA PRO, Hon. Comr. Jacob B. Confidence, assured everyone that APC is the only political party that can actualize the dream of the Ogonis.

Delivered the Message of the TeamColekhana LGA Coordinator , High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, Mene Zaa 1 Of Africa, represented by the LGA Deputy Coordinator , Comr. Nubor Optimist Goteh , expressed his loved for the ward as a reciprocates of their supports For Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole in ward 13 and urged them to work hand in hand in order to deliver our principal Pst. Arc. Tonye Cole.
Speaking further, Comrade Optimist assured the good people of ward 13 that Pst. Tonye Cole, will never disappoint them and that Arc. Cole have all that it takes to bring back the garden city we once heard of.

In his closing remark , On behalf of the ward 13 stakeholders Comrade Barika PK Lah-Nnaewi impel the people of ward 13 to go from door to door and share the goodnews.
He also used the medium to clarify on some misleading informations credited to the Former Minister of Transportation Federal Republic of Nigeria , H.E, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi ,
"the good people of ward 13 ,members of the All Progressive Congress and TeamColekhana LGA at large, the rumour going round that our Leader Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi desolved APC States, LGAs and Ward Leaders, is false and misleading".
Mr. Lah-Naewi stated it categorically that he was there and that our principal/leader never said he desolves them, but rather told all leaders of the All Progressive Congress to go to their respective unit and share the goodnews in oder to deliver the party come 2023.
Comr. Barika ,concluded with his words encouragement,
" let everyone of you remain focus , the APC under the able leadership of Hon Gordon Tornwe as the ward 13 APC leader is strong and formidable".

The Prophet Joseph Smith and his wife, Emma, had reason to ask why little children die—six of their children died. The Prophet said: “I have meditated upon the subject, and asked the question, why it is that infants, innocent children, are taken away from us, especially those that seem to be the most intelligent and interesting. The strongest reasons that present themselves to my mind are these: This world is a very wicked world. … The Lord takes many away, even in infancy, that they may escape the envy of man, and the sorrows and evils of this present world; they were too pure, too lovely, to live on earth; therefore, if rightly considered, instead of mourning we have reason to rejoice as they are delivered from evil, and we shall soon have them again.”
Another servant of the Lord, Elder McConkie, experienced the death of an infant granddaughter. At her funeral he said, “There are certain spirits who come into this life only to receive bodies; for reasons that we do not know, but which are known in the infinite wisdom of the Eternal Father, they do not need the testing, probationary experiences of mortality.”

Khana—leadership of TeamColekhana LGA and members of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Khana LGA, over the weekend attended dual functions.
The Coordinator of TeamColekhana Khana, former Assembly Aspirant, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, Mene Zaa 1 of Africa, led the team to the venue of Rivers South-East Senatorial APC Primaries at the traditional headquarters of Ogoni, Bori which saw H.E Amb. Orji Ngofa as the winner and flagbearer. He also led same team to attend the burial ceremony of late Madam Love Yaede (64) the wife of Engr. Douglas Yaede Ndam and aunt to the State Protocol of TeamCole, Comr. Miracle Deemua Tamyiegia, at Nyogor Lekue.

The Nyo-khana Political infantry General, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, was received in a grandstyle as he was welcomed by his people, supporters, youths and elders.

In his condolence message to the husband and family, High Chief Adonis expressed his gratitude to all who graced the occasion, described his late aunt as “a motivator and the pillar of what he is today. I am very grateful to God for her life and what God has used her to achieve on this earth. We are sad because she is gone but her memories will continue to live with us”. He prayed and assured the family of divine comfort and favour upon them even in their moments of grief.

He thereafter, walked round the entire community, visiting aged women and men and reached out to them in his usual manner. He also used the same medium to visit other scenes and rounded up by addressing the youths at Eete Zaa.

To the youths, he said "your time which is the very appointed time has come, thus be responsive, be peaceful and abstain from all forms of social vices and rest assured of being part of the scheme of things as this democratic dispensation unfolds.

Distance yourself from all evil activities, especially cultism and respect your parents to enable them have peace".

Responding to questions on his political pursuit from the large crowd that graced the event. He said "our leaders have decided based on our Party rules and regulations and I have showed political maturity in this respect as a leader myself.

You know I don’t play politics of bitterness. You can also see that from the political leadership style of my Boss, that is how politics is supposed to be played. I am grateful to every one of you particularly for your prayers and continued support.

Watch out my political movements and you will understand where I am and where I am going to, nothing to regret, rather more to gains knowing that I am not out of the scheme of things come 2023" he concluded.

Whilst journeying back, Zaa stopped over at Taabaa, the Home of the former Deputy Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kwanee Leyii, to pay homage to Mrs. Kwanee, the mother of Rt. Hon. Kwanee. He was given motherly advise and blessings to overcome all obstacles in his political pursuit.

Fortunately, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, coincidentally met his Boss and went into thirty minutes meaningful discussion, especially on how Nyo-khana can be brought to political light come 2023.

Khana Constituency II 2023: Mene Zaa Screened Successfully.

A mini rally took place at Bori today as supporters of a frontline aspirant for Khana Constituency II seat, in the Rivers State House of Assembly, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae, Mene Zaa of Africa, was given arousing welcome as he appeared before the Khana LGA APC screening committee at the Party's Secretariat, Bori. Not fewer than 250 men, women and youths besieged him at the popular Hospital road roundabout and on sighting the convoy of High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae they escorted him as they chanted along with a loud voice "with Mene Zaa, PDP is decimated in Nyo-Khana". To them, Mene Zaa becomes an answered prayer. It was nonetheless of a "triumphant entry" into the venue of the screening.

Upon arrival at the venue, MENE ZAA OF AFRICA in his usual manner admonished his supporters to become ambassadors of peace and be law abiding at all times. He asked them not to indulge in social vices especially in acts of electoral violence but be focused on ensuring that they exercise their franchise. Finally he charged them to be strong and keep faith with the vision of the Leader, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi markedly, in making sure that Arc. Tonye Cole wins in Khana LGA. He further reiterated his readiness to rewrite the wrong in Nyo-khana by making sure that Constituency II enjoys dividend of democracy in the event of APC winning the 2023 general elections.

High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae, and the Khana Constituency II, Rivers State House of Assembly hopeful was successfully screened. Khana Constituency II 2023: Group Woos Khana APC Leaders for Mene Zaa, List Qualities.


Nyo-khana Positive Change has advanced reasons the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, particularly Khana Leaderships should support the ambition of the Nyo-khana Political Infantry General, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae, to represent khana Constituency II in the Rivers State House of Assembly in 2023.

The group said MENE ZAA's antecedents, and his ability to transform vision and ideas into reality positioned him as the best candidate to represent Khana Constituency II.

Spokesman of the group, Comr. Manson Oscar, made the call on Sunday 1/5/2022, at his resident in PortHarcourt, while on a courtesy visit to High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae, and to invite him to a lecture organized by Nyo-Khana Political Change with the theme “The Legislature, Changing Times and Nyo-khana Democratic Journey” slated to hold on Tuesday 17/5/2022 .

In his address, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae, MENE ZAA, is described as our only hope for true transformational leadership.

The students wing Coordinator of the group Hon. Comr. Fiito Jonathan also told the dignitaries present that the only tested individual with such gift and competence to transform Constituency II is MENE ZAA, who understands the plight of the people and possess the skill to engineer the needed development to his Constituency.

According to him, ZAA's leadership capacity had been sufficiently demonstrated, given the tenacity with which the Infantry General rolled out his vision and ideas to the benefit of Nyo-khana when he served as an aide to the former Deputy Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kwanee Leyii.

He said the event will be held as part of the consultations to be embarked by the group Leadership in their bid to win the support of party members across various backgrounds and camps of Khana Constituency II.

The non-indigenes were not left in the call of Mene Zaa as the rightful and qualify candidate for the seat. Delivering the message of the non-indigenes leaving in Nyo-khana, Muhammad Abubakar, said “It is not by chance that we are gathered here today. It is because we agree totally that you are the personality amongst others that need to be engaged and identified with for the job.

“You are the real foot soldier who can go to the House and pass the message of Nyo-Khana to members of State House of Assembly and to other critical Government institution across the States.

“Mene Zaa is a round peg in a round hole. In response, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae, thanked the Group for all that they have been doing even without meeting facially. He accepted to attend the event as slated and that he is not afraid to face any debates or any public interactions.

WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT THE MAN HIGH CHIEF LEDUM ADONIS DEEKAE 'JP' ( MENE ZAA 1 OF AFRICA).

Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae has been visible in the political scene in the past 24 years. In fact, he is one of the very few (if not the only) politicians in KHANA LGA, that has not been elected to political position but still have array of followers in every single unit of the nineteen wards in Khana LGA. For instance, the TeamColekhana units and wards executive are still visible and active.

As one who is in the main, a bridge between Arc. Tonye Cole and the people of Khana LGA, he is optimistic that the people of Khana shall wholly stand for his principal come 2023, owing to his doggedness and unwavering stance.
Therefore, there may be little or no need for the introduction of High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae but to refresh our memory; he is a true definition of a grassroot politician. A man closer to his people and who understands the yearning of the people. He is a devoted christian, management system consultant, social crusader, and an eminent political leader.

Born in the 70's and raised on the soil of Ogoni. High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae leadership skills and ability had already been brought to bear when in 2007 he was appointed as the Special Adviser (SA) to Rt. Hon. Kwanee Leyii, former Deputy Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly. His confidence and negotiation skills was honed from previous experience in Ogoni Youth Body/Politics as well as the aforesaid appointment; shaped his acumen and enabled him to become prominent.

High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae (JP) was an astitute administrator, setting the pace in areas of policy reforms, education as well as infrastructural projects these feats, added value to the office of the then Deputy speaker, whilst serving as Special Assistant.

Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae even outside political office, has facilitated a number of projects which include water project in the following communities;
Luudee, Seme, Kpaa, Kpong, Zaa, Kor, Luebe and Loore communities respectively, a modern community Town Hall in Nyogor. He also attracted and delivered the electrification of korokoro, Nyogor Community to Agbani Community. He facilitated the Wiikue Model Primary School Project, the only government project in Wiikue Community as at today.

Chief Adonis Deekae is a man with a heart of giving, as he has singlehandedly sponsored over 10 students on scholarship programme to aid their education. The ever selfless Chief Adonis Deekae's leadership style is second to none. This he has demonstrated beyond doubt, in every small opportunity that he is given to serve. Always going out of his way to put smiles on the faces of people and ensuring justice at all times. He is a disciplinarian who would not bargain with any form of indiscipline neither does he tolerate nonchalancy.

All round community development is his watch word. The great deeds of Chief Adonis Deekae has left us completely in awe.

THE NYO-KHANA POLITICAL INFANTRY GENERAL:

High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae is purpolarly known and also called the "INFANTRY GENERAL".
The title "general" does not reflect the rank given a Nigerian Army personnel. Rather it reflects his activeness in politics and his natural zeal for mobilizing the rural people. A senior political army officer in Nyo-khana, he commands from units to wards and LGA. However, he doesn't only command troops but plans their operations in the field. He had never lost and this will not be the first time.

As Nyo-khana Infantry General, he served in the field, working to defend Constituency II against any threats on the ground. He capture, won, destroy, and deter any strategist, and help to mobilize political weaponry to support the leaders as the ground combat force. High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae is a player and not speculator in the game of politics. He is a team player and always ready to accept a challenge and face the danger. These character traits made it reasonably easy for him to woo the entire people of Khana LGA into TeamColekhana till date .

Since our electioneering process is typically considered like the job in the military, which is physically demanding especially in an LGA like Khana and Nyo-khana where it is seen to be the political base of APC. Our great Party APC and the leaders need an able-infantry men with the skills of High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae, to fight the wars of winning election. This time our people need to be objective enough to reject those without skills and experience necessary to fight wars.

He is the Infantry General of Nyo-khana, battle ready to win and take it through the means of ballot from the opposition.

Whenever I visit and interacts with my people especially members of the communities within Khana Constituency II, the complaints of bad governance and poverty have been overwhelming. All the time, I have been touched but I am now touched like never before. Similarly, I understand, I am under obligation to do my honest part to bring the joy that has for long eroded my people by standing in, as their representative.

Consequently, I am passionate to run as member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, to enable me put in place development programmes, for the uptimum utilization of our people as well as continual advocacy that will have a political, social and economic multiplier effect on all, in Nyo-Khana and Khana Constituency II respectively.

Permit me to emphasize that, the programmes I shall initiate, will be such that no one shall be left behind, as the whole constituency would benefit from it. My door shall by no means be shut out of new ideas, and innovative programmes that may be suggested by constituents, insofar as it will seamlessly promote greatest happiness of greatest number of Khana Constituency II.

I believe that political positions were meant for individuals that stand-out as genuine leaders, positioned to advocate for the overall betterment of the people. But this virtue, has eluded the people in the time being. I have offered myself to run as a member of Rivers State House of Assembly representing Khana Constituency II, to assuage the suffering of my people, due to poor represention.

APC is a political party that shares all of the values, I describe as core democratic values. I am sure that joining forces together with APC can bring back the necessary democratic culture needed for the socio-economic development of our people and by extension, Rivers State. Taking Nyo-khana back from the hands of the old cabal with nothing to offer, is for me a task to be accomplished. I intend to get elected, with your support we can make it a reality.

For as long as I remember, waste and looting of public funds for personal gain has plagued the progress of our communities.

Consequently, I am convinced to conclude that, I have to step up and seek political office in order get involve in proffering solutions for the good of Nyo-Khana. It is my desire to be in that position (Rivers State House Assembly), where I can initiate and advocate for change and to put a stop to irregularities that has in the past barred our people from deriving dividend of democracy, as well as make the future less promising.

I am vying for the Khana Constituency II seat in the Rivers State House Assembly and the reason for my aspiration is that, I am conversant with my constituency and I know their needs. I want my people to know and enjoy democracy because they have been all along deprived of dividend of democracy. The communities in my constituency are not developed and I want them to know and enjoy development.

Having witnessed the continuous decimation of the collective wealth in our State over the past decades by the current political cabals; I have decided to join forces with this hurricane of change that is about to sweep Rivers State in 2023. 2023 KHANA CONSTITUENCY 2 : THINK MENE ZAA OF AFRICA

For over 8 years now I have observed, witnessed and experienced a consistent widening gap between representatives and their people mostly in the area of development needs of the people and the deliverables received from previous elected Members of the State House of Assembly representing the Khana Constituency II.

I have also noticed a lack of vision, where the elected leaders have demonstrated lack of ideas about the needed improvement and development of the people. I have seen lack of character amongst representatives, where elected leaders have shown no strength of character to inspire hope and confidence, towards the possibility of a better tomorrow, neither have they demonstrated a character of transparency and accountability that drives grassroots inclusion.
I have felt the lack in competence: where they have failed woefully to utilize available human and natural resources to execute development projects. I have been touched by their lack of compassion; I still do not understand how a leader can be blind to the plight of his people or not be spurred to action by their cry for urgent help.

The cry of whom to send to advocate and represent the interest of their people at the State Assembly, a cry of whom to liberate them from shackles of oppressors; and that's why I seek the support of all citizens of Nyo-khana, Khana Constituency II, to drive a positive change.

Let us support this movement for the good of Nyo-khana Kingdom, because the House of Assembly candidate is a grassroots based Politician who is always accessible and always ready to do the work of his father land.

High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae is a true definition of grassroot politician. A man closer to his people and who understands the yearning of the people.

Born in the 70's and raised on the soil of Ogoni, Chief Adonis Deekae even outside political office, has facilitated a number of projects which include water project in the following communities;
Luudee, Seme, Kpaa, Kpong, Zaa, Kor, Luebe and Loore communities respectively, a modern community Town Hall in Nyogor. He also attracted and delivered the electrification of korokoro, Nyogor Community to Agbani Community. He facilitated the Wiikue Model Primary School Project, the only government project in Wiikue Community as at today.

Chief Adonis Deekae is a man with the heart of philanthropy as he has singlehandedly sponsored over 10 students on scholarship programme to aid their education. The ever selfless Chief Adonis Deekae's leadership style is second to none. This he has demonstrated beyond doubt, in every small opportunity he had to serve. Always going out of his way to put smiles on the faces of people and ensuring justice at all times. He's a disciplinarian who doesn't bargain with any form of indiscipline neither does he tolerate nonchalancy.

AMAECHI, THE PRESIDENT NIGERIA NEEDS NOW.

According to the holy book, there is an appointed time for everything under the sun, and such time makes perfect the expected results.

At this time of our nation's history, Nigeria requires the ascension to the presidency, someone with the requisite experience, impeccable character , a bridge builder, proven records of service delivery and a patriotic Nigerian. These are major quality components that should be expected from anyone who aspires to lead the country in the forthcoming 2023 general election , to take us to the next level ,that will accord this nation the desired respect in the comity of nations, and thus attract developments.

One man that has earned much accolades and adjudged successful in the aforementioned areas by the vast majority of the Nigerian populace, including even his avowed haters, is His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
Experience, they say, is the best teacher. When it relates to experience in government, Amaechi an epitome such in our present Nigeria, having served in various capacities, from the Local Government, State , and now the Federal.

There is no gainsaying the fact that at this time, Nigeria needs someone who can deploy his vast experience to bear in governance. Amaechi has being in government, and held several positions, wherein he unarguably excelled. These wealth of experience of the workings of government at the various cadres, their nitty-gritty and intricacies, will enable him administer a seamless government that will stimulate the system for maximum achievements.

Amaechi is unarguably renown for his proven character, integrity and forthrightness. Integrity is a rare virtue that promotes good governance , and Ameachi does not lack it. He acknowledges when he makes mistakes, because he is not infallible, but stands firmly to pursue whatever cause he believes is a good one ,especially those that of benefits masses. To him , as far as the society and economy is strong , every other thing will fall in place .
For the period he has served in government, he remains one of the few, without any financial scandal, nor associated howsoever, with inordinate acquisition of wealth , as he utilizes whatever resources at his disposal for service delivery.

Amaechi is an outstanding unifier and bridge builder, who lives beyond the artificial divides of religious, ethnic and class sentiments. He sees every human, irrespective of race , colour or status as one , only placed in wherever or whatever position they occupy by the intervention of circumstances of space and time ,as such no one should be discriminated against.
That is why, many of his close associates and friendship circle cut across various strata. Though born an Ikwerre, he sees himself like an Hausa-Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw and other races. He lives and adapt to others' lifestyles as much as practicable. He interfaces with all classes to ensure peaceful coexistence.

Amaechi is a bridge between the older generation and the younger ones, who being of middle age, has the grasp of both classes of persons. He is that President Nigeria needs now , that fills that chasm between these divides, and satisfies the yearning of the masses, for a paradigm shift of the leadership of the country to a younger generation.

Government is a continuous process, therefore for efficacious and sustainable implementations of projects , especially longterm ones, it is better for a successor to share some extent of principles and ideologies in terms of service delivery with his predecessor.
As an integral part of the PMB administration, Amaechi is best positioned to leverage on the foundation laid and the achievements of the government, for continuous implementations of projects that are ongoing, and other programmes in the overall masterplan of the present government.

One major factor in assessing a good government is the quantity and quality of service delivery. Amaechi has performed excellently in every ramification, when service delivery of world-class standards is put into cognisance. He is a locus classicus in this aspect.

In every position he has held, Amaechi has performed excellently and set standards , comparable to the best parts of the world. His exposure and penchant for quality, makes him settle for nothing less than what is expected of any developed society.
In Rivers State, where he held sway as the Governor for about Seven and half years, the unprecedented monumental achievements in service delivery, is difficult match.
The flyovers/interchange bridges , the ultra modern fully equipped hospitals , world-class model schools , dual carriageways with drainages, electrification and many more physical infrastructures of international repute are all over the State , which were executed in his tenure .

Manpower developed received much attention in his government, as he knows that when the society is developing, you need the necessary manpower capacity to compliment. He thus created employment opportunities, enabling environment for businesses to thrive and placed thousands on both local and foreign scholarships at various levels.
Amaechi as a governor expanded the State capital of Port Harcourt, with the Greater Port Harcourt project and transformed the entirety of the State.
When Amaechi came to power in 2007 in Rivers State, there was general restiveness and escalated insecurity. But within Months, he was able to contain the hoodlums and cultists perpetrating the mayhem, and restore the situation to normalcy.

As Minister of Transportation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the prominence of his gigantic strides in all the sectors within his Ministry, are obvious. The rail sector has witnessed a total overhaul and transformation for the better. After a very long time, our railways are now functional, with ultramodern trains and terminals. The Maritime Sector is now able to compete globally and yield prodigious revenue. His phenomenal accomplishments will ever remain indelible in that ministry. Whatever Amaechi handles, transforms for the better.

Amaechi is passionate about the wellbeing of the nation, Nigeria, and willing to sacrifice all for its betterment . His patriotism to Nigeria knows no bound .

Being endowed with these rare qualities, coupled with his wealth of experience, therefore predisposes him as that President Nigeria needs to leverage for advancement in all sectors.

If he did it in Rivers State and did it in the Federal Ministry of Transpiration, he will do it even for the nation. If indeed we need good transformations in this country now , then Amaechi is the answer.

Ahead of APC Convention: BBIGN South-South Leadership converged at Port Harcourt - Adopts measures and reaffirms support for the Party


Some members of the Bridge Builders Initiative for Green Nigeria, BBIGN, a Pro-APC political pressure group,
from the South-South States, yesterday, in Port Harcourt city, held a crucial meeting and adopted some critical measures on how they can support the Party to successfully hold its National Convention slated for March 26, 2022. The group took the decision when members selected from Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross-River and Rivers States held a joint leadership meeting in Port Harcourt.

Hon. Afonyaa Anabraba, the Rivers State Coordinator in his opening Speech, welcomed and thanked the South-South BBIGN Leadership for visiting Rivers State this critical time, when ideas of leaders are needed. He assured them that Rivers State BBIGN will not deviate from it's set goals, especially in building bridges as well as mobilising support for APC and Amaechi.

Hon. Afonyaa recounted some of the achievements of the group in the State, which includes and not limited to the just concluded LGA's Town Hall Meetings.

The South-South Zonal Coordinator of BBIGN, Dr. Kopimo Ezekiel, said they have decided to take Rivers State by surprise, when they heard that Rivers State BBIGN will be holding her Leadership meeting.

"We have no doubt in your ability to implement BBIGN's programmes, and we are satisfied with your conduct".

We came here to ask simple questions and to intimate you on our plans for the Convention and after the Convention on March 30, 2022 at Abuja.

He asked; how much do you still love Amaechi? How often do you pray for his success?
How prepared are you to take over power from those that came in, via the back door in Rivers State?

He further mentioned that immediately after Convention, Abuja and Nigerians will know that we are initiators for green Nigeria. According to him, a statement will be made and whosoever is mentioned must respond within three weeks or we will force him by any means available to us, to respond in affirmation.

Dr. Kopimo Ezekiel added that "Amaechi possesses the qualities that would lead APC to victory in the 2023 general elections. His leadership style made him two times Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum. He is the man APC needs, to retain power and win more States in 2023 and beyond".

The South-South Coordinator, Dr. Kopimo however, urged the party delegates and leaders at all levels to consider a brilliant, firm and intelligent personality amongst the chairmanship aspirants and vote, as the APC National Chairman.

The group’s National President, Dr. Orgwu Emmanuel Chigoziri, who was warmly welcomed to the meeting with a standing ovation told the house that "members of Bridge Builders Initiative for Green Nigeria, BBIGN, cannot be swayed by media propaganda and deliberate misrepresentation of events as recently done by detractors to smear the reputation of our principal, as they concoct stories of injunction to suggest that our principal as anti- progressive. Unknown to them, their shenanigans have become old-fashioned.

“Today, we make bold to say that the purported injunction of a particular candidate and media propaganda is laughable and only exist in the imagination of those who sort to achieve a sinister motive and further plunge our party into chaos. Our leader, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is a democrat and would never be part of such a cheap charade.

“We believe that all the aspirants contesting for the position of the chairman of our great party are eminently qualified, except those that are not yet members of APC, and as such, we expect the candidates to campaign vigorously and consult with party leaders on their aspiration. It makes a mockery of the entire campaign process when a candidate who was never in the race or a member of APC is now purportedly being foisted on other candidates who have put in their best to campaign legitimately within the provisions of our Party's constitution.

“Our stand remained the same, as Pro-APC political pressure group, we are watchdog of the party. The spreading of these false news are perpetrated by the same people who never wanted our Convention to hold, but they are disappointed and their evil conscience is torturing them. All Progressives Congress, today is holding her Convention, and as a group, we are happy for that".

Dr. Orgwu Emmanuel also disclosed that members of BBIGN have finalised plans to storm the Eagle Square, Abuja in their numbers, ahead of the APC national convention slated for March 26, 2022 and after which, stage another programme on March 30, 2022 right there at Abuja.

He stated further that, apart from the massive support that the group is drumming for the emergence of credible candidates, the delegates amongst us are battle-ready to cast their votes for a reliable and trustworthy candidates.

He wished and prayed for a successful Convention while appealing for fairness.

"We wish and pray that our dear Party, the APC have a successful Convention on March 26, 2022.
