BrotherJapa: Fake Hope.
Religion gives hope without work. People would rather pray than work, they believe they are rich in Christ more than Dangote. People believe the world is coming to an end soon so why work and plan for tomorrow. They tell you not to mix with the world and the only people getting richer are the pastors and GOs I preached the Bible most of my life, was in the church Monday to Sunday. We pray a lot and the country is in more mess.
The GOs are in Cahoot with the politicians. Religion is the biggest fear inducing bandage we have in Africa.
There is no divine favour anywhere, we have ro plan and work together, we have to stop spending hours asking help from the sky. You do not have to take my word for it at this rate, the country will be hell in the next five years.
The hope of religion is similar to the hope of someone who is high on hard drugs. The bible i know talks so much about the need for work ; even God himself worked. When God created man, he gave man work in tending the garden. The bible talks so much about the need to work in several scripture. You cannot aswell rule out the place of divine favour; as you are never in control of all factors responsible for success. |

BrotherJapa: Way to go!
All churches and mosques should be demolished in Nigeria, and replaced with factories and mechanized farms. There is no heaven or hell and, rapture has been postponed—time to build our heaven in Nigeria. How does demolishing these centres translate to having factories and farms? Are the worship centres responsible for lack of factories and farms ? |

I focus more on the heart of people than their class. Their mindset is what's more important than their wealth status; as anyone could become rich or poor. Whatever one is or has, is a privilege from God; as, no human has power to control all the factors that made them successful. |

The guy isn't in a relationship with your cousin. It is your cousin that wants a relationship with him. She's in a situationship. There's high probability that he doesn't see your cousin as someone he wants to be married to. She should have a frank discussion with him on this if she wants clarity. However, the guy has told her already but she's the one not listening. |

Whether male or female, if your partner is lacking in kindness, you are in trouble already. Mind you, this kindness should not just be towards you only but to others aswell. As regards her advice number 2, Does it matter who loves who more? Love starts and is sustained with a decision of committment to the wellbeing of another. Most times when people are looking for who loves them more, they are looking for someone they can be abusive towards and the person would still try to put up with such abuse. Love in a relationship should be that both partners are committed to the wellbeing of each other. With this there is no need to measure who loves who more as both are committed to making their partners happy and flourishing. |

ObalendeCMS: Nigerians stuck in naija are asking that the op bring down the "scammer"
Wicked people!
How or what have you done to bring the ones here down? This your kind of reasoning is what has allowed decay in the naija. You share same criminal values with the scammer that is why you are speaking in his defence. He could have stayed back in naija to face his scaming business rather than export his criminality |
Crime › Re: My Encounter With A Nigerian Scammer In The UK by optm(m): 12:25pm On Oct 30, 2024 |
NaijaGoBetter2: My question is this: Why do some of us act this way? Even after spending thousands of pounds to "japa" from Nigeria, some people still choose these dishonest paths abroad and continue to blame the Nigerian government for their actions. Although I could press further and get him arrested, I’ve decided not to be the tool that his “village people” use to bring him down. You think you are being nice by letting him off the hook and continue with his business of scamming people? That's how you contribute to allowing a once sane society decay. Allow evil and see it takeover. You had better helped the authorities to locate that guy and save other innocent citizens. If he wants to take to scamming, he should have stayed back in naija. You may say it really doesn't concern you but you should know that as a black immigrant, there is a collective identity we share and every black person contributes to that identity. If you allow a scammer go on rampage for some sentiment and not seeing his acts as criminal and should be stopped, you shouldn't feel bad and call it racism or profiling when other persons subconciously starts relating with like you are a scammer . |
Politics › Re: Bolt Delivery Driver - In Defense Of Hon. Alex Ikwechegh by optm(m): 10:44pm On Oct 28, 2024 |
oluztx: Many people are jumping to conclusion just based of off the snippet of the video posted by the Bolt delivery driver.
The Bolt driver was very disrespectful and lacks customer service. His demeanor shows he doesn't like his job and doesn't want to be there. He ordered the man to come outside and pick up his food. Hon. Ikwechegh said no, he needs to bring it inside, which is expected as that's why people use such delivery services and pay the extra delivery fees. What if Hon. Ikwechegh was sick and couldn't make it outside? This is what delivery service is for. Otherwise, it's meaningless. They can as well go outside and drive to the restaurant themselves.
Hon. Ikwechegh even called the restaurant asking what's going on as he couldn't understand why the driver is acting in this manner. If I were him, I would have asked him to return the food. Can't trust eating a food delivered by a driver having an attitude.
Yes, his actions were wrong but the bolt driver was very disrespectful to order a man that lives in an upscale part of the city and obviously an honorable member to come outside. If he had his security detail, they would dealt with him and rightfully so. Delivery driver is a customer service job, you have to do it respectfully.
It appears this could also be premeditated by the bolt driver, like he's been there before, perhaps, didn't like his tip and decided to set him up by acting disrespectfully. you are no different from the house of rep guy. |

Firefly2017: I am not against a woman having a source of income, or contributing in running the home. My point is men should not demand 50/50. As a man set up a business for your wife and watch her contribute without you ever having to ask her to do so. I don't know any woman who doesn't like to make her own money and spend it on their family. Just like the proverb 31 woman Why should the woman wait for the man to set up a business for her? And if he doesn't set her up, does it mean she cannot be productive on her own? There are women that make money but would hardly contribute to their home. The man bears all the burden and is put under pressure in meeting up with financial responsibility. |
