Never be with a person who thinks they are doing you a favour in agreeing to be in a relationship with you. The guy would do better in being without her. That type wants to do life through you and not with you. God is trying to save him from a disaster, he had better started thanking God for his deliverance and let her be. |
The people patronizing these guys should be hunted and brought to justice aswell |
The poor needs to pay for the rich to keep up with their life style. It beats my imagination how in their ideas to get more monies to keep the economy going, they are not cutting down on their allowances and incomes to make more money available. They find it very easy to make policies that further impoverishes the already struggling masses. |
If you provide those same infrastructure in other cities, do you think they would want to leave their places to abuja? Those migrating to abuja do so in hope for a better life but unfortunately the system was designed to isolate the rich from the poor . Develop those cities around abuja and make it attractive enough for the people to stay and be productive. |
Kobojunkie:John 13:28-29 NKJV [28] But no one at the table knew for what reason He said this to him. [29] For some thought, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus had said to him, “Buy those things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor. https://bible.com/bible/114/jhn.13.28-29.NKJV Luke 8:2-3 NKJV [2] and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, [3] and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance. https://bible.com/bible/114/luk.8.2-3.NKJV The work of the Kingdom of God on earth needs the giving of men. I can perceive you are not really grounded in scriptures and you are making arguments not because you want to know the truth about this matter. One thing i know is that God's work on earth would not suffer. Whoever wants to give to his work should and whoever doesn't want to can go ahead but God's blessing in giving to his Kingdom work on earth remains forever. Whatever we have is because God gave it to us and giving to the church to further God's Kingdom on earth is never a bad thing. My apologies to OP for derailing your thread |
Kobojunkie:oh really? what if i showed you Jesus and his disciples had a treasury which Judas Iscariot was in charge of? |
Kobojunkie:Do you think the work of God's kingdom on earth needs money? |
Kobojunkie:Deuteronomy 30:15-20 NKJV [15] “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, [16] in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. [17] But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, [18] I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess. [19] I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; [20] that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.” https://bible.com/bible/114/deu.30.15-20.NKJV I really do not get your point |
Kobojunkie:I have read those books of the bible and i haven't come accross scriptures that support your argument. Can you pls point them out |
Kobojunkie:what book are you talking about? |
Kobojunkie:oh you mean when there was a king over Isreal, the king was being paid from the treasury of the temple? I would like you to give me a bible reference. Also i'ld like you to give your view as regards the scripture i shared earlier citing the words of Jesus as regards the tithe they paid. Tithing can never be antiChrist. It's is the antiChrist that fights against tithing since it's a means of financing the work of the Kingdom of God here on earth |
gunners160:ok he has used another person to better himself, why not stay with that person already? How come you are blind to the fact that he would be ruining another person's life in the process? He's trying to have his cake and eat it. What also makes you think this his girlfriend wouldn't be a victim just as his current wife later? How we tend to excuse wickedness and try to make it colorful in this generation is really interesting. Character is what makes a man. If this lady should go ahead with him, she'll cry bitter tears in that relationship; It's only a matter of time. Love isn't all that matter in a relationship. |
Kobojunkie:If you call it a taxation system then it should be payed to the king and not to the temple or priest as seen in the bible |
Kobojunkie:Well First of, those people paying tithes are not foolish, God instituted tithes as a statue in the old testament in order to make provision for the temple and it's workers the Levites. The work of God here on earth needs finance. If you read the scripture i shared earlier, Jesus said , they should tithe but not neglect important things as love and justice. |
Kobojunkie:let him be. Jesus Christ didn't condemn giving of tithe either ( Luke 11:42 NKJV [42] “But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. https://bible.com/bible/114/luk.11.42.NKJV .). If he isn't being blessed in his giving to the church, he can stop but there are people that would willingly give to the Church and promote God's agenda here on earth and God's work will never lack. Some of us have seen and experienced first hand what God is doing through his genuine ministers that some of you criticize. Not all pastors or churches are fake. if you know the fake ones and you have evidence you can go call them out but trying to paint all churches as bad or fraud is pure evil |
rexbuton:Is your wife a practicing or nominal Christian? |
This is how you guys would see red flags everywhere and still dive into the relationship and start crying later. If you go ahead, you should know that someday, you are gonna be treated just like his current wife. He has no Character strength. Ask yourself how much you would be dealing with in marriage to that kind of Man. Let him go and face his wife. if for anything, you shouldn't be the one to ruin another woman's marriage. |
naijaking1:people trying to support reno's narrative should be ashamed of themselves. His argument is void of intelligence and proper reasoning |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be2J_qoLeXk?si=7NaTm1GyeCPjuqJR Here's Peter Obi's full response. Don't buy into the narrative they are trying to sell. Listen for your self and be the judge of his performance. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be2J_qoLeXk?si=7NaTm1GyeCPjuqJR Mischief makers here with their selfish agenda just cut out the part that suits them in order to give a false narrative and water down his strides in education while he was governor. |
PressMyButton:peter obi should have built the number of schools that would accommodate child birth rate in 50 years from his tenure right? Do you think you are making intelligent arguements here? I have gone through your arguments and can tell you are most certainly sponsored to do this cos there's no sense in your arguements but if you aren't sponsored and this is actually how you reason, you should seek help to improve it. |
PressMyButton:go back to my post you quoted before now. |
Ofunaofu:it is obvious they are sponsored. Common sense should have been enough to let them decide if his intervention strategy as regards education was effective or not and not whether he built a new school was important. |
PressMyButton:you didn't answer the questions i asked |
PressMyButton:what was the impact of his intervention in education in his state? Was it significant or not? Was the said state performing poorly in education and in dire need of new schools during his administration? Did you notice, the enormous strides made not just in renovating but equiping these schools? Which would have impacted the quality of education more? Channeling the resources for building new schools into resurcitating old ones or using the resources to errect a school from start to completion? |
PressMyButton:so if he had built schools and left existing ones in their delapidated state, it would have counted as better performance in governance to you right? |
They keep suggesting the worst of people to leadership not minding the cost of such choices on their lives and future |
Even as we are against racism, many Nigerians are not different from the racist chinese here in this story. The only difference here is they share different colour and race. Tribalism is worst than racism. If you are a tribal bigot, it is hypocritic for you to speak against racism |
helinues:you should be ashamed of yourself but most likely you have no shame. I saw in the post you referred to and you just picked the investment part but had selective blindness not to see the person stated that he built a college of agriculture there. |
kingthreat:they have always been proud before moving here. coming here doesn't make one proud but rather, the reverse should be the case because you realize that there's nothing so special about you and that status isn't a permanent thing and that it could change and hence you should be mindful in treating people right irrespective of their status |
kingthreat:yeah many that moved there legitimately start on blue collar jobs but they do not remain there. It's like starting life from scratch. You shouldn't expect something too far from that. The good thing is that with that blue collar job you probably look down on, they are able to meet their bills and engage in projects that if they had stayed back in nigeria, wouldn't have been able to. Yeah it is degrading in the Nigerian context to do those kind of jobs and that's also why those sets of persons are treated poorly by many back home, but over here, there's dignity in whatever you choose to do even in those jobs. If someone that moved abroad seems proud, it is either you are misinterpreting things wrongly or they have always been proud. |
many persons in the diaspora can be busy with life and truthfully , many may be going through though times and may not be given to chit chats. these coupled with the time zone difference might be a challenge in maintaining relationships back home. I'll just advice if you feel you are being snubbed, give the person some space. the person may not actually be having any feeling of superiority like you are assuming . They are in a new environment, they also have new relationships to nurture which would place demands on their time aswell. The relationships in their new environment is more impacting to them and beneficial to their thriving in the new country hence would be given more priority than those back home. |
