Politics / Re: Here's The Full Response Of Peter Obi When The Post From Reno Was Asked Him by optm(m): 4:42am On Apr 25
naijaking1:
"Show me one school built by Peter Obi" is a typical red herring scenario ----- well known and used by half baked PR guys in an attempt to confuse people.
It changes the topic and modifies the question, and then tries to answer the modified question.

When the World praised PO for elevating the standard of education in Anambra as a governor; a position even Reno or Bwala could not challenge, Reno had to change the issue to "school built by PO", which is different from elevating the standard of education in a state already saturated with school buildings even before Nigeria's Independence.

PO didn't have to build a new school in Anambra in order to elevate education in the state, but he had to equip them better, and he did. Reno couldn't argue with that, so he changes the issue to building schools which wasn't the issue at all.

The more one listens to Reno, the louder his cries for food and help from PO's apparent political adversaries.

Unfortunately, this pathetic situation dampens his logic and some how he thinks our reasoning is also dampened.
people trying to support reno's narrative should be ashamed of themselves. His argument is void of intelligence and proper reasoning

Mischief makers here with their selfish agenda just cut out the part that suits them in order to give a false narrative and water down his strides in education while he was governor.

Schools will decay, no longer be functional in a few years?, why do you guys reason less than a goat?. Is child births not growing in Anambra each year?
peter obi should have built the number of schools that would accommodate child birth rate in 50 years from his tenure right? Do you think you are making intelligent arguements here? I have gone through your arguments and can tell you are most certainly sponsored to do this cos there's no sense in your arguements but if you aren't sponsored and this is actually how you reason, you should seek help to improve it.

What is the wisdom in building a new, fresh school when there are so many schools that should be renovated, reconstructed, and equipped for a conducive learning experience?

I hope you are aware that Peter Obi took Anambra State from 27th in educational standings to number one in Nigeria at the end of his tenure.

These things are verifiable, not propaganda.
it is obvious they are sponsored. Common sense should have been enough to let them decide if his intervention strategy as regards education was effective or not and not whether he built a new school was important.

Which strides?, take a back seat pls. Churches took back their schools and run them according to their standards, they employ their teachers and pay them. Obi was only budgeting funds for education and diverting a larger chunk into his pocket.

We have seen Governors rehabilitate old schools and still built new ones, Obi had budgets for education for good 8years, he could have at least built one new school. Obiano came after him and built new schools. Stop celebrating a failure.
what was the impact of his intervention in education in his state? Was it significant or not? Was the said state performing poorly in education and in dire need of new schools during his administration? Did you notice, the enormous strides made not just in renovating but equiping these schools? Which would have impacted the quality of education more? Channeling the resources for building new schools into resurcitating old ones or using the resources to errect a school from start to completion?

Which governor doesn't renovate public schools?, painting an old building is an easy cash out, even Yayah Bello renovated a few buildings. Did Obi build a single school?, a million dollar question nobody has been able to answer.
so if he had built schools and left existing ones in their delapidated state, it would have counted as better performance in governance to you right?

Post picture proofs of the schools started and completed through out his 8 years as Anambra state governor, no one would block you here
you should be ashamed of yourself but most likely you have no shame. I saw in the post you referred to and you just picked the investment part but had selective blindness not to see the person stated that he built a college of agriculture there.

Bro na abroad I follow dey. I believe in dignity in labour. But make some of us for here no dey feel like demigods because we don step out of the shores. Being in a different location doesn't make you greater than others.
they have always been proud before moving here. coming here doesn't make one proud but rather, the reverse should be the case because you realize that there's nothing so special about you and that status isn't a permanent thing and that it could change and hence you should be mindful in treating people right irrespective of their status

No let anybody for abroad use you do yanga. 50% of Nigerians outside the country are doing blue collar jobs they will not do at home.
This Japa thing one has to be careful o. Europe is getting risky. If fullout war with Russia start, dem go give una gun to fight war o.
yeah many that moved there legitimately start on blue collar jobs but they do not remain there. It's like starting life from scratch. You shouldn't expect something too far from that. The good thing is that with that blue collar job you probably look down on, they are able to meet their bills and engage in projects that if they had stayed back in nigeria, wouldn't have been able to.
Yeah it is degrading in the Nigerian context to do those kind of jobs and that's also why those sets of persons are treated poorly by many back home, but over here, there's dignity in whatever you choose to do even in those jobs. If someone that moved abroad seems proud, it is either you are misinterpreting things wrongly or they have always been proud.
Travel / Re: What Is With The Inflated Ego Of Nigerians Who Relocate Abroad by optm(m): 4:20am On Mar 31
many persons in the diaspora can be busy with life and truthfully , many may be going through though times and may not be given to chit chats. these coupled with the time zone difference might be a challenge in maintaining relationships back home. I'll just advice if you feel you are being snubbed, give the person some space. the person may not actually be having any feeling of superiority like you are assuming . They are in a new environment, they also have new relationships to nurture which would place demands on their time aswell. The relationships in their new environment is more impacting to them and beneficial to their thriving in the new country hence would be given more priority than those back home.

Clearly a propaganda video.. you could see an attempt at blurring the investigator's voice and the way the so-called jihadist was describing the scenario. Also the surroundings of this video were not shown but only the confessor's.. nobody knows who was doing the questioning and where, except for the Israel flag in the background..

This is not in anyway to sympathise with terrorists but you can't overcome evil with another evil..

Israel is committing alot of atrocities in Gaza and those victims - innocent men, women and children don't even have lives anymore not to talk of a voice to relive their own stories.. no amount of propaganda videos such as this can justify that.

Let's call a spade a spade..
the identity of certain special forces personnel are hidden ; even their voices hence the distortion . I have seen a documentary on that

Guess what he did after his lengthy conversation with my mom, he sent a huge money to me again through his company . Whatever happens God knows I've cleared my conscience and I pray a good woman that likes him locate him
If he's not this philanthropic to others, do not take his word for it; you should try to do some investigations on his giftings to you specifically . Wisdom is profitable

And the do you know the effects on birth control on women any woman that has sense that hasn't given birth, will not put herself subject to birth control

What do you mean in Africa moat girls are seeking for men to take responsibility for their living

Dude I fucking live in the USA, please it's the seem here don't trip yourself by saying in Africa that's a big insult
Even lots of white and Spanish do that here do
Yes they are some that's are fully independent,Mr if they give you those women to marry you won't last 3 months in. The marriage

But. Then you have been listing all the things a woman should have to give you in su h management marriage and all the things she shouldn't expect from you
Then you went on to say that she shouldn't be the responsibility of her husband

So may I ask what does a man that wants to be called husband in such case have to offer or is his job only to take
Or will the woman be the head of such home and will he agree that they are equals, since he has both to offer
you are not following the logic in my argument . let me know why you feel a man would be slowed down in finding his foot after marriage without kids in the picture of things?
Family / Re: Can You Advise Someone To Marry In This Room by optm(m): 9:05pm On Mar 20
Elohorp:

If you marry a wife what do you have to offer as the head of the house??
Because if you believe that she should continue been the sole caretaker of herself after getting married to you and you don't want kids after marriage
May I ask what exactly you are looking for by getting married in the first place
You have no need for marriage because you are not ready for the thing's that comes with marriage, you want to get married for sex and continue living your life as you were while still single with the only difference of having a stay in sex partner, all you said above is the simple example of someone that's not just ready for marriage but also selfish and you rounded it up by saying if your not successful then it's the wife fault, how exactly
There's nothing more irritating then a blame passer it's simply irritating if I don't make it it's her fault it sound immature
you actually misread my post . First of, getting a life partner is choosing someone to do life with. this person should ideally have a life as an independent person. If you both are doing life together, it means you guys ought to be better since there would be summation of resources, ideas and support that should ideally translate to better life for both partner. Now if a man is better off in being single than married, something is definitely wrong with the kind of spouse. it means his spouse isn't actually contributing much to his life. yeah i know in Africa, most girls are seeking men to take responsibility for their living and looking for who to live life through and not who to do life with. These kind of girls would definitely cause the men strain and slow down his pace cos she is depleting his resources.
Family / Re: Can You Advise Someone To Marry In This Room by optm(m): 2:32am On Mar 20

No it's slows done not because she is a wrong partner but because expense increase,if your wife is sick won't you treat her,if your kids are sick won't you treat them
School fees, feeding, health care, clothing, and on and on,you speed more, same applies to the woman,in the end you can barely see financial means to expand instead your just surviving and look around you and tell me if that's not what most people in Nigeria are going through
Yes you might see 2 or 3 that managed to expand and thrive but it's so rare, early marriage when not yet stable will hold you back
My advice make sure your financial back bone is strong before carrying load on it , If not it will crack, am not saying you have to be rich but at least be stable
I believe the lady you are marrying is an individual and should have been catering for herself and taking care of her expenses before you married her. both of you coming together shouldn't change anything much but rather amplify you cos of combination of resources and ideas. yes it would be proper to have your finances sorted before birthing kids because they would be dependent on you and if you do not plan properly, it would put strain on your resources. But for two independent individual coming together in marriage, it shouldn't cause you much strain in my opinion except it's the wrong spouse you are having. I hope you get my point ?

Pregnant is a game it can come even when on active protection,so why gamble

I believe if a man gets married too early, when his not yet stable it prevents him from actually ever getting his footing in life
depending on the kind of partner. It is supposed to be the opposite. His acceleration in life should be faster with the right woman. If a man's life slows down after marriage, he got the wrong partner.

I concur, if you're building physical capital projects without investing on human capital, the human capital you failed to invest on won't value the physical capital projects or might even ruined it but investing on human capital can bring a lot of volunteers to build more of physical capital projects through their various foundations or community development service

Nigeria system doesn't understand social democratic governance
yeah right . We get people that have no business with governance in power. For their benefit, they need to have the current crop of Nigerians. There wouldn't be resistance to plunder of the nation's wealth and they have good control of the people. It's a win for them . what better way can they legally loot the treasury other than disguising it under infrastructural development ; which seems appealing to the untrained mind.
Romance / Re: I'm I In Trouble? This Man Will Not Stop Giving Me Money by optm(m): 6:37pm On Mar 19
you should talk it out with him. Schedule a meet up and tell him you do appreciate his giftings but you really do not know what to make out of it and ask if he's expecting anything from you and that you'll like him to open up so you guys can talk things out as adults that you are. The excuse of your not being able to resist his gifts because they came at the right time doesn't really cut in because you would still have lived your life if those gifts didn't come. Try to improve on your finances too .
yeah looks are important but then it would be the heart of the person that would matter more in the long run. Choose wisely

you cannot develop a city more than its people ? yeah so much talk about infrastructure but how much effort is put into people development? Nigeria would never achieve so much unless its people are empowered and educated. When the people are not enlightened and empowered, build all the infrastructures you can, it would be plundered. we need mentally, emotionally and physically healthy people to build a healthy society. truth is most Nigerians are not healthy and you would hardly get the society to work. the priority of any govt that wants to work should be making investments in the people.
Romance / Re: Igbo Women Not Treating Their House Girls Well by optm(m): 2:24am On Mar 19
I often wonder what the men do when their wives maltreat their helps ? you really do not have to fight her. just tell her if she would not treat the help well, then you guys would have to return the help to where you got him or her from and attend to the chores yourselves. by the time your wife engages in those chores without help, she'll learn to appreciate them better if she gets a chance to have another.
your wife treating her help bad sets bad example for your kids and even brings awaiting karma for your family.
Don't tell me you would do nothing about an impending disaster on your family because of the actions of your wife. If you fail to act as the leader in your home in such situations, you have simply accepted to partake in the wickedness by your inaction. Infact, God would start by judging you for failing to lead your home right
