While in the university we carried out a research on bloodless medicine and surgery, I asked a medical doctor which will he prefer blood transfusion or bloodless surgery if it was his child his answer?, "I will never infuse blood on anyone I love ". Bloodless surgery is on the increase cos the patient heals faster and better.
on the second note if you claim to be a Christian but you don't apply Bible principles you're worse than a person without faith cos the Bible at acts chap 15:20,28,29 specifically mentioned abstaining from blood. why would I now go contrary to what I preach just to get life in this dying system of things and lose the prospect of everlasting life wether on earth or in heaven?
lastly Jehovah sent his precious son Jesus Christ to come and die for my sins so as to redeem me, if it means I'll die so as to gain their approval I'll die than accepting blood transfusion.

i am not a jw myself.
So i might not be able to provide a biblical answer for the reason why they are are against blood transfusion - well, i know the bible said abstain from blood - but i know they believe in bloodless medicine.
I think it's still a developing field,but from all indication it's better and cheaper than blood trandfusion.

All these allegations have been interred on this board several times.You claim to be the moderator of the thread,yet you don't find it hypocritical to also play the role of a judge without taking time to conduct a comprehensive research on how tribalism crept into national politics.
I guess Zik & Samuel Akinsanya who claimed the latter was not allowed to assume the NYM vacant seat because he was an Ijebu Yoruba were not tribalists,but Awolowo who supported Ernest Ikoli (an Ijaw candidate)against a fellow Ijebu man deserves to be called the father of political tribalism,init?
