He just concluded his two-day crusade in Zambia where he was hosted by the President, Edgar Lungu.

Now, the anxious wait is over as the much publicized Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen’s movie; ‘ATM’ (Authentic Tentative Marriage) which has already been dubbed the most hilarious movie of 2016 finally hits the cinemas nationwide on Friday May 13, 2016.

At the premiere on Friday May 6, 2016, foundation of Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos shook to its grounds as who is who in the Nigerian entertainment circle defied the Lagos traffic allegedly caused by the monthly RCCG Holy Ghost congress to grace the event.

As early as 5pm, movie enthusiasts had trooped out in their numbers for an event which started at 6:45pm. The open space of the galleria was jam-packed, a scene which held other customers of the galleria spell bound.

At the cinema hall, the space which could only accommodate about 200 seats had almost 500 viewers who were ready to withstand any hardship in their eagerness to watch the movie. Many stood for almost 2 hours when the additional movable chairs that were brought in have been exhausted, yet people kept trooping in to catch a glimpse of the movie.

Embassy of United Kingdom in Nigeria sent in more than five delegates to support their newly found star, Claire Edun, popularly known as Oyinbo Princess, who has British Broadcasting Corporation News (BBC) covering all her movement right from her arrival to the country on Thursday May 5, 2016.

Aside BBC, other big media houses such NTA, Channels, Silverbird TV, African Magic Jara, AMC, Vanguard, Galaxy Tv, SDK, Omonaijablog, Broadway and many others also pulled their weight behind the big budget movie.

Nollywood divas, actors and executive directors of different movie agencies like; Uche Jombo Rodriguez, Monalisa chinda Coker, Ebube Nwagbo, Yvonne Jegede, Alex Ekubo, Yomi Fabiyi, Chioma Ude, DJ Nana, Aisosa Igiebor, Yomi Makun, Bolanle Ninalowo, Chris Ekejinbe and singer LeeH.

Others include; kunle Afolayan, Mamud Ali Balogun, Nigerian top female director Pat Oghre, Amen Imasuen, Raph Nwadike, and his Association of movie producers executives, maverick presenter Danrele Edun and a host of other entertainers and movie lovers could barely find space to move.

As for Molalisa Chinda who had all the reasons to have missed the event; she defied all odds to watch the movie.

In fact, she could not hide it, it was very glaring, her lovely black gown suffered tear. She was advised to call Lancelot, the movie producer, and explain why she could not make it but she said no, “of all the trailers I’ve watched on ‘ATM’ I must be at the premiere” and so, she led other great divas, damsels and shrewd Nollywood practitioners to Silverbird Galleria on that lovely weekend. And at the end of the premiere, she was one of the first to make a comment about the movie as she simply said, ” Hilarious and you would clear the market with the help of publicity”.

Also, popular Nollywood movie critic, Chris Ekejinbe could not hide his feelings as he commented that the movie is “Nothing but a good laugh, a relief to stress and tension”.

And so the story continues at the cinemas nationwide.

ATM…A romantic comedy stirs Robinson, (Alex Ekubor) a young jobless man in his late 20s who met a white lady, Emilia ( Oyinbo Princess) via online dating and started extorting money from her in pretense that he was going to marry her. Meanwhile, he has a Nigerian girlfriend, Caroline, (Yvonne Jegede) who has been very supportive and taking care of him and his uncle Gbenga (Francis Odega).

Gbenga fell for his brother’s caprices when he told him about his plan to make the ‘Oyinbo’ lady her ATM, by marrying her and divorce her after six months in other to inherit her wealth and subsequently marry his Naija girlfriend, Caroline.

But when Emilia arrived Nigeria, Robinson got the shock of his life…

It is a movie you will live to remember because it will surpass generations. In fact, it qualifies to be called an “ever green movie.”

This is one occurrence that could be described as the dream of many. It would be recalled that last week, we reported that Popular Prophet, Joshua Iginla is having a crusade in the city of Zambia and it promises to be a great one. There was drama at the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos today when senior members of the bar accused Ecobank’s lawyer, A. O. Ogunba, SAN of disrespecting the bench in the matter between Honeywell Group and Ecobank.

It will be recalled that on 16th October, 2015, Ecobank, through A.O. Ogunba, SAN, sought ex parte orders against Honeywell before Justice Tsoho. When Justice Tsoho refused to grant the orders, Ogunba on the same day went to Justice Yunusa J. to seek for the granting of the ex parte orders. Ogunba later succeeded in procuring the ex parte orders from Justice Yunusa; who is currently answering allegation of corruption before the National Judicial Council. Ogunba made a huge scene by accusing the judge of nodding his head while listening to the oral argument of counsel to Honeywell.

This angered other senior members of the bar in the courtroom. In fact, two senior lawyers, Wahab Shittu and Dr. George Olushola Ogunyomi, stood up to address the court and both of them expressed displeasure at Ogunba’s attempt to ridicule the bench. The senior lawyers insisted that Ogunba’s conduct undermined the court, was disrespectful to the bench and totally unethical as junior lawyers and Student’s from the Law School were in court to witness the embarrassing scene. Both senior lawyers apologized on behalf of the bar and advised Ogunba to apologise to Justice Dagat. Ogunba failed to apologise and lawyers threatened to stage a walkout unless he did so. The situation was however brought under control.

Furthermore, Ogunba sought to move a motion to advertise the petition against Honeywell Group by bringing other processes in support of the motion. This move was opposed by lawyers to Honeywell and the court later struck Ecobank’s application. Honeywell had succeeded in moving both the court of Appeal and Justice Yunusa to vacate the exparte Orders earlier granted by Justice Yunusa. Dagat was transferred to the Federal High Court, Lagos, and he inherited the cases from Justice Yunusa. Justice Dagat has now adjourned to 26th September for ruling on all applications that were argued by both counsels in court today.

Cheating : They accused each other of cheating but Tiwa savage’s own was with a proof. She said the name of his side chick is ‘ Edible catering’
‘’ I got back to Nigeria and while we were sleeping, his phone was going off and it was middle of the night and I kept on seeing the name calling him ‘Edible Catering’. And it didn’t make sense because why would a catering company be calling my husband at that time of the night and yes as a woman, I picked up his phone and I went through his phone got into his Whatsapp and there’s this long conversation with this same ‘Edible’ number.

And I’m seeing stuff like ‘Can we meet at the hotel tonight’, ‘Do you live alone’, and ‘Is it ok if I come by’. The last message I saw was, ‘I had to leave at 7am today because you were still sleeping’. Then he responded saying, ‘Yea because you knocked me out last night, it was a great night’.



Broke Nigga : During the interview, she also accused him of being broke and how she paid for virtually everything she does, even their son, she was the one that paid the hospital bills, bought baby things and that he has never spent anything on him.
‘’ Since my son has been born, TJ has not spent one naira. I paid for the hospital bills, I paid for his flight to come to London, I paid for the apartment we stayed for two months, the clothes, the nursery, the grocery. ‘’He also went to buy a Rolex watch and he still couldn’t pay up the balance and so they called me and because I don’t want it to get out in the press (people have threatened me with that before) so I always find a way to put the money in his account so he can pay off the debt.’’

‘’ The last one that happened that I think really triggered this whole thing was that he went to borrow N45m from someone and he’s lost the money. I just found out. I was in the studio recording and got a call that EFCC is investigating that TJ is in big trouble that people may hurt him. So in my frantic move to try and suppress the situation no one could help raise the N45m he went to borrow.’’

The Board of Directors of Fidelity Bank Plc has announced the appointment of the Executive Director, North, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Balarabe as the Acting Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the bank with immediate effect subject to regulatory approval.

Call for the resignation of Nigeria’s Senate president, Bukola Saraki, is gathering steam after #PanamaPapers exposed his secret offshore assets shortly after his false assets declaration trial began at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

The Transition Monitoring Group (TMG), a coalition of over 400 civic organisations working for the entrenchment of democracy and good governance in Nigeria, has added its voice to the growing calls for the embattled Senate president to step down from office.

The group said the revelations by the #PanamaPapers and the prosecution team are too lurid for Nigerians to ignore, adding that Mr. Saraki had lost all moral grounds to continue to occupy such office in the land.

The TMG said the details contained in the evidence tendered by the prosecution against Mr. Saraki were startling.

It said the only option for the politician is to follow in the footsteps of Icelandic Prime Minister who stepped aside on Wednesday after the #PanamaPapers revealed his offshore business interests.

The call is coming barely a day after other public affairs analysts and citizens expressed their outrage over the same developments and called for the impeachment of Mr. Saraki from office.

In a statement by Ibrahim Zikirullahi, the group’s chairman, TMG said the funds allegedly “pilfered or diverted” by Mr. Saraki could have gone into developmental causes in Kwara State.

“TMG has been keeping a close watch on the trial of Senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
