The Ogun state Local Government election took place yesterday and report has it that APC swept all polls, all their candidates won in all local Government areas. This is however alarming and needs urgent attention. Even before the election started, there has been a cry of distress from some other parties accusing APC of deploying thugs, cultists to some specific areas where their victory isn’t certain. During the election, there were issues of rigging which is contained in the video below, ballot snatching, attack on members who are not from APC and many more and also the alliance between the body responsible for elections in Ogun and the APC government. It was also reported that they were bribed. However, other parties have expressed their dissatisfaction in the elections and might possibly go to court. The GTBank Fashion Weekend may seem novel for a financial institution, but it is part of the bank’s long history of supporting the local fashion industry. Foremost African financial institution, Guaranty Trust Bank plc, last week announced the debut of the GTBank Fashion Weekend, set to hold on the 12th and 13th of November 2016, at the GTCentre, Oniru, Victoria Island. With the bank being the first financial institution to pioneer such initiative, it is important to understand its motive for organizing such an event and necessary to know what guests will gain from attending. Why is GTBank Organizing a Fashion Weekend? Perhaps the short answer is: To promote enterprise in the SME sector of the Fashion industry. The not-so-short answer would begin with the fact that GTBank actually has an extensive footprint in fashion that goes back several years. The bank has sponsored two of the country’s leading fashion events, The Arise Fashion Week and The Lagos Fashion and Design Week, for a combined period of five years. The bank has also contributed significantly to raising the international profile of African fashion through collaborations including the Ndani Installation at Selfridges and the “Double Club” Collaboration with PRADA. The GTBank Fashion Weekend is thus an extension of the bank’s long tradition of supporting the local fashion industry and African fashion in general. However, the Weekend extravaganza is much bigger than whatever the bank has done in the past to support Fashion because it not only aims to celebrate African fashion but to directly boost both the expertise and exposure of small businessesand create a platform that will truly serve the stakeholders in the fashion industry. As Mr Segun Agbaje, the Managing Director of GTBank, puts it, “[it is all about] growing SMEs in a sustainable manner that is not driven by profits but focused on empowering our customers and growing our economy collectively.” At the core of the Weekend are fashion MasterClasses, where entrepreneurs will have the unique opportunity to interact with and learn from global fashion industry leaders, and Retail Exhibitions which will showcase the wares of dozens of SMEs within the fashion industry for patronage from guests. An example of how effective retail exhibitions can be is seen in the very successful GTBank Food and Fair held in May where over 25,000 guests helped over 100 SMEs achieve record sales of their products. Why Should I Attend the GTBank Fashion Weekend? Again, the simple short answer: The Weekend will provide the ultimate fashion experience that anyone intrinsically interested in Fashion cannot afford to miss. For the longer version of that answer, think of the GTBank Fashion Weekendas a perfect blend of the glitz and glamour of fashion with the vibrancy of trade fairs and the enlightenment ofworkshops. Attending the event will not only get you thrilled, but also leave you thoroughly entertained and greatly empowered, all of which will cost you absolutely nothing. Given that the Weekend is positioned as a sequel to the GTBank Food and Fair, one thing that you are sure to be treated to is an awesome atmosphere dense only with a spectacular array of top personalities and industry leaders. Just as the Food and Drink fair brought together critically acclaimed international chefs, the GTBank Fashion Weekend will pack a punch of fashpacks – from world renowned fashion personalities to globally recognised brand owners, trend setters and designers. These fashion aficionados will all join together to make your experience of the Entrepreneurial and Fashion MasterClasses, Retail Exhibitions, and glamorous Runway Shows a memorable one. At the fashion MasterClasses, you will have the direct opportunity to interact with and learn from local and international fashion industry leaders. With the MasterClasses themed Promoting Enterprise, expect to learn a lot about how to make a profitable business out of fashion. As well as being treated to a sizzling series of Runway shows featuring collections by renowned Nigerian and international luxury brands, expect also to enjoy an amazing showcase of a diverse range of affordable and luxury apparel, footwear, accessories, beauty items, and much more from budding indigenous SMEs. Ultimately, the GTBank Fashion Weekend is one that you cannot afford to miss not only because of the fun-filled and memorable it will be, but also because of the significant boost that it will give to SMEs involved in Fashion and the fashion industry in general.

One of the so-called Nigerian Leading bank, Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) Is currently performing an act that could be best described as stealing by trick. A lot of people have been complaining about this and this has even happened to me several times but the latest one really touched me to my marrow. Firstly, i opened an e-savers account with GTBank some years back and it was said to be a ZERO-ACCOUNT, No hidden charges, No SMS alert fee, No email notification fee, everything is free, and because i was a student then, i decided to open one and it was rosy. i even recommended GTB For anyone who says he or she wants to open a Bank account, i even go as far as taking the person to the entrance of the bank to make sure the person goes there, that was how passionate and loving i was for GTBank. It was a sweet experience. However, things began to turn sour when i got to know i can't perform any internet banking transaction without collecting a token which costs N2,200, around that amount sha. I was surprise but when they explained to me that it was for security reasons, i opted in too and was enjoying technology, not knowing i was just being milked little by little, then i misplaced the token. On getting to bank, they said i'll pay the same amount as when i bought it at first, but why should it be Is it not to just renew it ? but i had no choice o, i bought it again. Then the worst came, i bought the token the second time because i wanted to purchase a form online but shockingly, my technological token didn't work ooo,i complained at the GTB Customer Service, they told me nothing is wrong with my account and that it's only network issues. My people, i tried for more than a week but it didn't work, na Interswitch o, the main reason i bought the token was because of this form, but it didn't work, rendering my over 2,000 useless so i had to borrow a friends UBA Account and that one ehn, they just sent a code to the guy's number and that was all. Secondly, there's a latest one now and it is deducting a certain amount of money at the end of the month and say i'm being charged for Different Customers (SI ACCOUNT), abeg what does that mean? i sent mails to them but they only gave me one yeye reply that my request has been saved with one stupid ID, the only thing i think could cause this is transfers and the funny thing is whenever i do a transfer, they deduct 100 naira and Five naira for what i don't even know about so what am i being charge for at the end of the month, am i paying them salary?? Thirdly, this one happened to me today. I sent an amount of over N20,000 to a friends account but he got just 10,000 from the money and bank has already closed by the time i was informed, it's really sick of them and they even have less experienced customer services. on this Note, i say GTB IS A FRAUD, SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES!!! LETS SHOW THEM

Nollywood actor, Abiodun Adebanjo is no doubt one of those actors making waves presently with his versatility, talent and ability to interpret roles excellently and unique from his counterparts. Meanwhile, he has been through somethings most people don’t know about, all they see is a Looking Good Abiodun Adebanjo but few know about his beginning. However, we bring you some shocking things you have NEVER heard about the talented actor · He does English Movies : This is one quality that is scarce in most Yoruba actors today. Hardly will you find a Yoruba actor who also doubles as an English actor. Abbey, as he is fondly called is one person that has proven his versatility with this as he just finished working on an English TV series. · He was trained by Veteran, Akin Lewis : The name of Akin Lewis in the industry alone causes a stir. He is highly respected and honoured. He is one of those that can be regarded as a pillar behind the growth of Nollywood in Nigeria. The actor, who has been in the movie industry for over 42 years and became well known when he played the lead role in Madam Dearest, in 2005,. He has also featured in several films, including Tinsel, one of Nigeria’s most popular soap opera on satellite TV. According to checks by us, we reliably gathered that He trained Abiodun Adebanjo and people even call him his son. · He is a Musician: This guy is a bunch of a talent. He is one out of millions of actors who was ordained by God to be a mountain mover in this entertainment industry. He actually started music before venturing into Acting and he is planning his Music concert already. · He is the only son of his Mother: At the mention of this, many would say he is Mummy’s Pet! Well, maybe you are right. He is the only son of his mother and has younger sisters who are twins. · His parents are Divorced: Everyone knows the havoc a child will face if the parents are divorced or not together. The child will lack parental care, no matter who he or she stays with, the space of parental love will still be empty and the talented actor isn’t an exemption. This is one of few part of him that is sad. His parents separated when he was at a very tender age so he didn’t really feel the love of parents though he went to the best school and wasn’t lacking anything. He never stayed with them together for a complete year, he stayed with his grandma and later lived with his siblings or friends. It affected his religion as there was a kind of conflict calling a particular religion as the one he practices and that is why whenever he is asked, he would say he practices both. We exclusively gathered that whenever he visits his mum, who is a muslim, she won’t allow him to go to church and whenever he visits his Dad who is a Christian, he won’t allow him to go to mosque so he has been through both religion. · He Once hawked – Waow! This shows the hustle is real. For every glory, there must always be a story to tell. Due to the fact that his parents weren’t together, he stayed with his grandma in Ibadan and hawked Pure water, Coke when it was still N25 per bottle, Ice water, groundnut, worked in block industry, offload blocks and paid N1 Per one, and so many things out there in the street. This is one reason parents should think twice before breaking up. · He’s in his early 30s – Many people will find this hard to believe but it is actually the truth. He looks very young and fresh which is quite deceiving. Everyone would believe he is less than 25 but hey!, he is in his early 30s so add some ‘respect’ to his name. However, to know more about him, add him up on his social media accounts below: Facebook : Abiodun Adebanjo Twitter : @Cooldonbii Instagram : Cooldonbii http://www.saharaweeklyng.com/revealed-seven-shocking-things-you-dont-know-about-nollywood-actor-abiodun-adebanjo/

Again popular Abuja prophet, Bro. Joshua Iginla has won the heart of Zambians after his prediction of the just concluded presidential election came to pass. Checks revealed that the fiery prophet in January 2016 prophesied that the incumbent president Edgar Lungu would retain his seat as president. We gathered that it generated a lot of controversies especially when popular prophets across the world especially one from South Africa has chosen the opposition party as winner when the election would hold. Reports revealed that during Iginla’s three days crusade in Zambia On the 5th – 7th of May, 2016 He also declared openly to them that he saw two lions battling each other in the election but the older lion which is Lungu will emerge winner after a stiff competition. In a Prophecy on December 31, 2015, He said ‘The economy will improve but not as expected. The election in Zambia will be will be like two lions fighting. The president should pray in terms of the election because I see betrayals from his camp and so called faithfuls. But in my vision, I see someone trying to pull him from his seat, yet he remain in the seat’’ Sources from Zambia confirmed to us that all he said about the election which took place on Thursday, 11th of August, 2016 came to pass. It was a tough time for the Zambians as the battle for the seat of the President was one of a kind, one that has never being experienced. The battle was between the Leader of Patrotic Front, who is also the sitting President, Edgar Lungu and his opponent, representing United Party for National development, Hakainde Hichilema. The result of the election was released on Monday, 15th of August, 2016, in favour of President Edgar Lungu, confirming Joshua Iginla’s prophecy. According to reports, Zambia’s incumbent President Edgar Lungu has been declared the winner of a closely fought presidential election, but the result was immediately challenged by his main opponent Hakainde Hichilema. Lungu, leader of the Patriotic Front (PF), won 50.35 percent of Thursday’s vote, against 47.67 percent for Hichilema, of the United Party for National Development (UPND), the Electoral Commission of Zambia said on Monday. The opposition party quickly, however, rejected the result, claiming the electoral commission had colluded to rig the vote against its candidate, to confirm the prophecy. Similarly, In 2014, when Zambia President at that time, Michael Sata passed on after suffering from a strange illness, and an election was to be carried out, the Fiery Prophet, Joshua Iginla predicted that Edgar Lungu will be the President of the country whenever the election is carried out, even though Sata’s vice President, Dr Scott was appointed as acting President, Lungu was however appointed as the President after the election was observed WATCH VIDEOS : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzWj1wQwDEc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEVHWwUO160 http://www.saharaweeklyng.com/zambians-hail-pro-joshua-iginla-over-confirmation-of-president-lungu-victory-exclusive-videos-of-prophecy/

John Mikel Obi paid $4000 to free the Olympic football squad after the team was held to ransom by hotel officials in Sao Paulo over bills incurred by additional NFF officials according to reports. According to the report by African Football, the team is comprised of 25 players-18 players and 7 officials, but extra five officials were added to the team’s hotel roster, and the hotel management insisted the team pay before departing, but instead of the NFF or the Sports Ministry to pay up the bills, Mikel Obi, who is also Team Nigeria’s captain shelled out $4,000 before they were allowed to leave the Sao Paulo hotel to Salvador. “We just arrived Salvador now (5.20pm Nigerian time) from Sao Paolo. We nearly missed our flight because of unpaid bills in the hotel. The hotel held us to ransom,” a team official told AfricanFootball.com “The problem is that all the additional officials here in Brazil are the responsibility of the Nigeria Football Federation, who said they will pay for them, but they did not pay for them again. “The affected officials included the team’s media officer, the team coordinator, the kits manager in charge of players and officials’ kits and the accompanying assistant director technical. “A call was put across to the honourable minister of youths and sports, he said we should put the bill in the (credit) card but the card didn’t work. They tried and tried but the minister said that only 18 players and seven officials should be captured as regards payment according to the rules of the Olympic Games. “So, the hotel bills of these other officials, about five of them cost the sum of over $4,000. They held us hostage for more than one hour and we nearly missed our flight. It was Mikel (Obi) who rescued us by paying the money. “I can tell you honestly speaking that this incident is not the fault of the minister because the minister listed the people to be accommodated which were 18 players and seven officials” http://www.saharaweeklyng.com/rio-olympics-2016-mikel-obi-rescues-nigeria-dream-vi-team-pays-4000-hotel-debt/

Fast-rising Nollywood actor, Abidoun Adebanjo, whose passion and zeal for acting is burning fiercely at the moment can be described as one of the hottest in the industry at the moment. The handsome actor is one that is multi-talented; he acts so well as much as he sings too. In an interview with Saharaweekly magazine, he revealed to us how the industry journey has been, the challenges, his role model and many more. Exceprts below: Q – My name is Osho Oluwatosin, Can we meet you sir? R – My names are Abiodun Adebanjo Olorunjuwonloa, I’m an actor. Q – Can you tell us more about your career? R – That’s a long story. It’s been very tough and wonderful. So far, I thank God. This is y 6th year in the industry and I’ve been in a lot of movies, I’ve been to all angles in theatre, I’ve sang, I’ve danced, I’ve done stage plays, I’ve done modeling, anything in theatre, I’ve done it.Q – How has it been since you started? R – Well, it wasn’t so easy because in our industry especially this part of our industry which is the Yoruba part, it’s not been easy and when you are not coming In to produce, you just want to start from the bottom, you have to be very strong, vigilant, hard-working, and very humble and prayerful, that’s it. I’ve actually served a lot of people but the person I actually call my boss is Akin Lewis. I call him my daddy. If anyone asks me, he’ll say I’m his son. I call him my boss because he was the one that believed in me and launched me into the industry.Q – What are you working on presently? R – Like I said, I’m going into music very soon. I’ve been singing. I’m actually working on releasing 4 tracks at a go and working on my first movie which is going to be a bomb. It’s going to b a multi-million naira movie and I’m planning a concert which will be coming by December. I’ll be inviting some musicians, that is it for now. Q – Which movie would you say pushed you to timelight? R – Actually, the movie that made people know me is Omo Oshodi. I received a lot of calls, commendation, lot of jobs started coming in. I’ve been in movies likle Ejo mi ko, Omi, Old soldier, lot of movies.Q – Can you tell us about the movie you want to produce? R – Wao! You want me to start saying my secret (laughs). The fact is that my movie will be called ‘Gbogbo Wa Lole’. I’m not supposed to be disclosing all this, a lot of people will be loving that title. It’s registered though so nobody can steal it. The title is Gbogbo Wa Lole or can you deny not being a thief?(Laughs) Q – Over the years, Piracy has been a major complain in the industry, how does piracy affect you? R – Ahh, that is a big issue. The fact is piracy, I call them vampires. They are blood suckers. Assuming we have legalized gun in Nigeria, I would have shot them because they are killers too. It hasn’t been easy. We actually did an anti-piracy work with the likes of Kunle Afolayan, Adebayo Salami, Yemi Solade, Bimbo Thomas, a lot of stars actually came out. We had a rally from Ikeja Underbridge to Governor’s office to express our plight. I just urge the government to do something about it. I expect them to consider piracy as a murder case, I want the government to consider it as that because they are killing us, you need to know the stress we are actually passing through just to bring out something sensible and at the end of the day, it will be pirated. Some movies even get pirated before it is released. It’s killing, I’m being sincere.Q – You are an actor that is good looking, how do you handle your female fans? R – Arrgh!! I have a lot of people I see as a mentor especially Akin-Lewis, I’ve learnt a lot of things from him so I do it the way my mentors did it. It’s not been easy, nobody is perfect but I learnt a lot of things from him. I put God first in everything I do, I handle everything that comes my way Godly though it hasn’t been easy. Even when you are not good looking and you are an actor or a celebrity, females will keep coming. Q – When did you get the urge to become an actor? R – I’ve been acting since I was 6 years. I love to make people smile. I love it when I’m beside you and I’m able to bring out your 32 set of teeth. I started acting when I was in church then, it was just a stage play and I was asked to act as a prodigal son. It was like an end of the year party and I did it perfectly though I was very stubborn then. I was always called upon in everything that happens in church then so when I grew up, sometimes I would run from lessons and pretend to be sick just to attend rehearsals so I started deriving happiness from it. It started making me happy and it’s what I love. If you want to kill me, just ask me to stop acting, I don’t think I can last a month. Q – Were your parents supportive? R – At a point, they weren’t even till now but the fact is when your parents start seeing you in movies and their friends are like ‘See your son, he’s now a big boy oo’, even when they are not supportive, but you are together and they start seeing your movies on Africa Magic or TV stations, at the end of the day, they got laughing at your character in the movie and they were completely lost. It got to a time that they weren’t seeing me as Biodun again, they started calling me by the character I acted so it hasn’t been easy, but we thank God http://www.saharaweeklyng.com/i-will-die-if-i-dont-act-for-one-month-how-akin-lewis-shot-me-to-limelight-actor-abiodun-adebanjo-reveals/

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Tuesday said the largest single line refinery in the world being developed at the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) by Africa’s richest man and business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote is another confirmation that Lagos is a prime investment destination, saying that the project will positively change the face of oil and gas business in the West African region. A statement made available to DAYLIGHT.NG stated that Ambode spoke at the LFTZ during an extensive inspection tour of the Dangote Refinery by the Togolese President, Mr Faure Gnassingbe. Ambode said the refinery eloquently attests to the fact that there is a positive investment climate in Lagos which has resulted in massive investor confidence. The Governor said: “This investment (Dangote Refinery) is one of the biggest in Africa today and will have a huge impact on the economy of not only Nigeria but the whole of West African region. “This refinery, when completed, will be the largest single line refinery anywhere in the world refining 650,000 barrels of crude oil daily. “Apart from creating jobs, this refinery will contribute immensely to solving the fuel supply challenge in the West African region,” Governor Ambode said. The Governor expressed satisfaction with the level of work done on the project so far, saying that he was happy that a lot of progress had been made. He commended Dangote for his vision, doggedness and unwavering desire to contribute positively to the growth of the Nigerian economy, as well as his confidence in the Lagos economy. Governor Ambode said aside the fact that the project confirmed the positive investment climate in Lagos which has resulted in massive investor confidence, he also strongly believes that the future prosperity of West Africa is in collaboration between government and investors, which was why his administration has been working hard to encourage investment in the State. He reiterated that Lagos is home to all nations, races and creeds, including substantial Togolese population, adding: “I’m positive that we are providing them with the opportunities to get ahead in their endeavors.” Governor Ambode said as a prominent Head of State in the West African region, he was not oblivious of the interest of President Gnassingbe in the Dangote Refinery, adding that the project was one of the emerging opportunities in Lagos State. While inviting Togolese investors to take advantage of the positive investment climate in Lagos, Governor Ambode said the State is open for businesses, and that his administration, in a bid to encourage investment, had massively invested in infrastructure and security of lives and property. “Lagos is open for business. We are open to collaboration with the Togolese Government and investors to move our two countries forward. “Our government is investing massively in creating infrastructure which will support businesses and individuals. We have made huge investment in security and we will continue to ensure that the lives and property of all citizens are secured. “We will remain partner in progress with all our investors. Our desire is for investors to invest in Lagos, grow their businesses, create wealth and jobs for our people and ultimately grow our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) positively,” Governor Ambode said. Earlier, Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Okechukwu Enelamah said the Dangote Refinery project could best be described as a partnership between private sector and government at its best. Enelamah commended Dangote for being not only Nigerian champion but champion of Africa with his massive investments and re-investments, which according to him, are creating jobs and growing the economy. “We need champions and Dangote is a Nigerian champion; he is an African champion; he is also a role model. “We need many examples and with the repositioning that the Federal Government is doing, we are going to see many more examples,” Enelamah said. On his part, Dangote commended President Gnassingbe for finding out time to inspect the refinery, adding that he was happy with the interest and encouragement being received over the project. Apart from the refinery, there is also petrochemical, fertilizer and gas plant with daily production capacity of three billion cubic feet of gas which are being developed by the Dangote Group, all in one location. Some eminent dignitaries that participated at the tour include former governors of Ogun, Ekiti and Cross River States, Segun Osoba, Niyi Adebayo and Donald Duke respectively; billionaire businessman and Chairman, Zenon Petroleum and Gas Limited, Femi Otedola, members of the Lagos State Executive Council, among others. http://www.saharaweeklyng.com/dangote-refinery-will-solve-fuel-challenge-in-wafrica-create-jobs-ambode/

Under Herbert Wigwe, Access Bank’s character has changed and its sphere of influence expanded. The bank has attained a status that enables it to offer more than banking services, to change developmental agenda and instigate social change. We read with surprise the premise of Senator Dino Melaye’s attack to the reaction of Senator Ajayi Boroffice to the former’s unsenatorial behavior on the floor of Senate chamber. He completely ignored the substance of Sen Boroffice’s concern and was pursuing the shadow. The disgraceful behaviour of Dino which was unbecoming of a Senator of the Federal of Nigeria is nothing but shameful. His unwarranted attack on Senator Oluremi Tinubu was published by many of the Nigerian dailies so it is dumb of anyone to say that Sen Boroffice could not have known what happened because he was not in the chambers when Dino exhibited his bestial behaviour that is encoded in his DNA. His antecedent in the House of Representative is indicative of the trajectory of his capability for perfidy .His promiscuous fantasy for women is not a surprise because it is characteristic of wife beaters which is his speciality. Dino should go and analyze the attendance Register at Senate sessions and tell Nigerians again the number of days the Senate sat in the last two months and how many times Sen Boroffice was absent. One cannot but conclude that Sen Melaye’s behavior is not within the realm of sanity, honour and dignity. We concur with Nigerians on their verdict on Dino’s unbridled rascality. It unfortunate that we have a faulty political system that spurns the likes of Melaye that have downgraded parliamentary behaviour to the level of student activism . We salute the courage of Senator Oluremi Tinubu in standing up to Dino’s intimidation exuberance . SIGNED: Coordinator, Hon. Aturu Olusola. Secretary, Prince Dayo Bello. France in recent times has been a nation that has suffered from series of terror attacks killing lot of innocent citizens but this latest one seems to be very sad and terrific as it happened on Bastille day celebration which was supposed to be fun-filled, but turned out to end on a sour note due to the tragedy. However, checks by Sahara Weekly revealed that Fiery Abuja-based Prophet, Joshua Iginla has warned France about the attack on two occasions and also prayed for them but it seems they failed to implement security measures, which could have possibly avert the attack. In his words, ‘France should pray. The lord was showing that there are about 247 dangerous sects who have been indoctrinated from Syria, ISIS, that have infiltrated into France. They are going to have another coordinated attack just as it happened last year and this time it might be worse than the first and I see this happening in that very month which God didn’t show me but I see between a date of 7-10 or 17-22.’ He further asked his church members to pray for the nation of France VIDEO LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4Gf7AexITk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZvtQJHdPI8
