Romance / Secret Things Your Kind Of Partner Says About You by Oshovie(m): 2:14am On Nov 21, 2015 |
"Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are", is a very famous aphorism, that tells us the importance of friendship and especially the quality of friendship. In relationship, most persons go for anyone of the opposite gender to which they are attracted to; and very few even consider anything beyond that exciting attraction of being in a romantic relationship. To most guys, being in relationship is just a thing of fun. Little do they know that the quality of persons they befriend is even more important than the relationship. The kind of partner you have determines a lot about your life: your future, your joy, your sexual health, your peace and even your lifespan and safety. One of the greatest fallacies of our time is the notion that "good girls love bad guys". I believe this is untrue; for no good person can fall in love with a bad person. Good and bad are like light and darkness-they can't co-esxist. If a girl loves a bad guy, then she is equally bad, maybes she doesn't even know. Maybe she claims she is a good girl, but her instincts say otherwise. It goes the same way for the guys. A good guy will be repelled by bad girls; just as light repels darkness. Not because of their looks or accents, but because of their disposition and attitude. The values of your partners tell us about your values: if you have a girlfriend that steals or is fraudulent in her dealings with people, then you might as well be a fraudulent guy. Even if you claim not to be, you still have a problem: the problem of permitting evil. Your inability to reprove a girl with such evil traits or your decision to stick to her, despite the potential danger, tells on how honest, disciplined and principled you are. An honest and upright guy will never condone evil, even though it's coming from a bedmate or lover! Your boyfriend's friends, also show the kind of girl you are. For example, dating a guy who is not a cultist but have cultist friends is suicidal. It also shows the kind of girl you are. If you can date a guy that condones associating with cultists, then you also tolerate cultism. For which upright person will hate a thing and love those who love them? It's like saying you hate jungle justice but love violent people. Aren't the perpetuators of jungle justice violent people? How can you hate cultists but love someone who loves them? The essence of this post is just to help us to be more selective of the people we give ourselves to. Being selective NOT about their looks, academic qualifications, accents, financial worth, physique but about their values: what they hate and love; who their role models are; who they like and dislike; where they go and what they do when they go there and what they believe and not believe in. |

Health / Re: Scientists Proves That White Men Evolved From Africa by Oshovie(m): 1:10am On Nov 21, 2015 |
I think the problem with modern scientists is that they just feel too big to accept "I don't know". There are things we just will never know. Even Einstein said it. But, they'll always make pseudoscientific assumptions instead of accepting "I don't know". |

The inauguration speech will depend on the present socio-political and economic zeigeist the president finds himself in. I can't tell you exactly, since I am not aware of them but a know that to make a good inaugural speech, one should do the following: 1. Salute your audience and countrymen; 2. Thank your supporters for voting you into office; 3. Show some respect for your opponent who lost; 4. Appreciate the strides of your predecessor; 5. Do a brief summary of the contemporary history of the nation and how your government is going to either change certain things or consolidate on whatever was before; 6. Re-ignite hope in your countrymen (if the past government was disappointing); 7. Remind them of your promises and how you'd go about actualising them; 8. Urge them to contribute their quota to the success of your government and the nation; 9. Tell them of the immediate political changes you'd carry out in the next few days; 10. Promise never to let them down as you praise their strength, perseverance, and courage; and 11. Wish them a great day ahead. I hope I tried. 1 Like |

Sad and happy story, indeed. Quite reminiscent of the infamous days of terror of the Bakassi boys. I'd always suspected that the Bakassi boys used the body parts of some of their victims for rituals. Don't forget that the Bakassi boys paraded themselves as vigilante members! PS: Nice post! |

Some men are suffering in their marriages because of the way they treated their ex-girlfriends. Talk to her and try to make her understand. You could even marry her. The love may come afterwards. A lot of people married people they loved and yet divorced. Take care. |

It could be true, I'm not sure. It's rather good that most men find them less attractive, because that keeps heart-breakers and rapists at bay. And at last they find the best husbands, while their beautiful peers end up used and dumped and become radical feminists due to bad experience. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Biafra Can't Be A Country by Oshovie(m): 6:01pm On Nov 16, 2015 |
Very true. And also the Igbo don't have enough resources to stand. The only possible source of national income would be in the services sectors; since the Igbo are highly industrious. But let's not forget that that isn't actualizable for now. How much has the industry of Igbo contributed to the South East? The average man loves to travel and live elsewhere. Igbo people are chiefly traders and as such, they need markets. That's why there's hardly any market in Nigeria where you won't find Igbo trading. If they are to return to their homeland, and every trader starts trading, who will buy? The largest consumers of Igbo-based products: Nollywood and Igbo gospel music are not even Igbo people. Non-Igbo buy Nollywood movies more than Igbo. To me, Igbo should stay where they are, as a part of Nigeria. That's just my opinion. |

Family / Re: What We Miss For Not Having Sex by Oshovie(m): 4:23pm On Nov 16, 2015 |
I think girls have more to lose by engaging in pre-marital sex. Apart contracting an STI or STD, most guys suffer nothing. It's always the girls that drop out of school because of it; boys don't. Girls are the ones that get pregnant, commit abortion, get stigmatized, get abandoned by the family, etc. Really, girls are suffering. I wonder why? It's so unfair. In everything a man and a woman indulge in, the woman suffers more, even during pregnancy: the man impregnates the woman and runs away, while the woman bears it for 9 months. Girls be careful in your relationship with boys, because you have more to lose. 4 Likes 1 Share |

1. Rainboots: there's nothing like "rainboots" in the dictionary. The correct word is "rubber boots" or "wellingtons". 2. Electric pole: though this is very popular and not totally incorrect, the appropriate word is "pylon". 3. Papa's cap: nothing like that in the dictionary. It is rather, "flat cap". 4. Slippers: the word "slippers" exists in the dictionary, however, its true meaning differs from the sense in which we use it. A slippers is a loose soft shoe that you wear in the house, according to Oxford's Advanced Learner's Dictionary. The one we call slippers is actually, "flip-flops". 5. School bag: there's nothing like "school bag" in the dictionary. The correct word is "backpack" or "rucksack". 6. Jeep: yes, there's "jeep" in the dictionary but not the one we mean when we say jeep. A " jeep" is a small strong vehicle used, especially by the army, for driving through rough ground (according to the OALD). What we call "jeep" is not a jeep; rather it is a "four-wheel drive". 7. Sali: the part of the leg we call sali is correctly known as the "calf". 8. Rubber sandals: the correct word for "rubber sandals" is "jelly shoe" 8. "I slept at 9pm": you can't know when you sleep, you can only know when you went to bed. 2 Likes |

plaetton: I have no intention of conversing with you anymore. You are obviously not emotionally mature for a civil discourse. Arguing with you will only lead to an on-line obloquy or contretemps. You really need to grow up and learn how to interact with people on a civil level. It tells on your level of emotional intelligence (a trait that can never be found in atheists). Your ideals have been formed, though pathetic. I raised several points in my original post which you ignored. You talked about emotions having mathematical values; how the increase in the consumption thereof affects emotions-that was your mathematical proof (mathematics without figures and formulae. What's the mathematical formalae for emotions?). How possible is that, when E=mc2 still has failling in mordern chemistry! Gosh! My dear, that's called pseudo-science (and it is the achor of modern scientific philosophy) You are the one distorting facts. It could work on a layman but not someone who understands scientific nomenclature. You don't need to accept what I postulate, neither did you have to take personal. No matter how many points I make you will never be humble to consider. So just relax. Take care. PS: I'd advise you to take some time to develop your social skills: you really lack emotional maturity. You must learn how to communicate in public, putting your emotions aside. Thanks. 3 Likes |
Religion / Re: The Greatest Flaw Of Atheism by Oshovie(m): 10:49am On Nov 16, 2015 |
plaetton: You don't need to become vile and uncouth. One other thing about atheists is that they are always bitter for no good reason. Even when the topic is presented in all civility, they still can't appreciate it. Obviously, atheists have more psychological problems than just disbelieving in God. For the records, dark energy, the luminious ether, dark matter DON'T have precise mathematical proofs for their existence. Study your physics properly: over 70 per cent of postulates in quantum physics are based on mere assumptions and estimations. And to base all your belief on mathematical collolaries, is quite a pity. We live in a mystical world. Even the great physicist Albert Einstein asserted that there were dimensions beyong space and time that can be seen (and posibly properly studied). Studying the unseen is a very dicey branch of science. Hence science is full of claims and counter-claims. The funny thing is that the fanatics of atheism are never at the fore front of these research. And it's infantile to believe everything you read in scince. The Big Bang and evolution thoeries belived by atheists only show how pathetic their belief system is. |
