Pls do, I need to get back to flying. |
Nice move from Star Boy and PMB. Anything to improve the investment environment is always welcome. |
Forex360:I do agree with of your points. Have a nice day. |
Okoroawusa:Ok, got it. Atiku is brilliant with putting plans on paper but I seriously doubt that he can accomplish many of his loft goals once in office. First, he can't even keep his employees now that the economy is not that bad yet, it's going to get a lot worse. If he's struggling now with all his brilliant ideas, how in hell is he going to run the govt smoothly? |
azpekuliar:I agree that oil will more than like never sell for 100 dollars again. Pls if you know anyone that can do it, pls tell us who that person is and let him tell us how he will do it in a short time like 4 years. All I know is that it's easier to make political promises than to fulfill them once you get into office. That's not only in Nigeria but all over the world. |
Urchman200:Honestly speaking, the Nigerian economy is not about to go through any serious transformation until the populace themselves change their orientation and start thinking and inventing products and services that the world wants and needs. The quickest way to that right now is farming for the short time. In the long run, the educational system has to be refurbished. Too much emphasis on reading and passing exams instead of critical thinking and practical theories that can be applied to everyday lives. simply put - our people are not creative enough. They are getting better but still long way to go when compared to others around the world. You can blame the govt for the lack of proper educational system but the govt is in a continuum hence what you have today is not because of Buhari or Jonathan but because of the people that occupy this geographical expression called Nigeria. Most of the people in govt today were not there 20 years ago and the ones that will be there in 10 years from now will be new ones but the story will still the same. The society, economy and everything else will evolve when the people are ready to do so, until then we are only going to get marginal improvements. |
Forex360:First, if we are to hold all politicians to all their promises as exactly as they promised them, then no one will be able to rule. I remember Trump saying that on the first day in office he will have Trumpcare to replace Obama Care. Right now, he doesn't even talk about it. Secondly, Buhari has made it the govt priority to diversify the economy by promoting agriculture and farming. Diversification of any economy takes years and probably more than one govt in power. It takes a continuing efforts, it does not happen over night. All the feel good stories you hear about Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and other Asian countries took many many years of persistent and consistent effort at diversification and modernization of their economies. I don't know which French President you are referring to but my memory tells me that the last 2 lost via elections including Zarkosky ad Hollande. And when you suggest that Buhari should leave, then you have to ask yourself - leave for who? Leave for the same people that ruled for 16 years that got us into this mess in the first place? I could understand if you are talking about leaving for people who had performed wonder in the past with good track records. But here we have the stealing is not corruption team waiting to get back in power to siphon what is left in govt covers. |
FAKE ALLEGATION AND FAKE NEWS. |
Angelfrost:The simple answer is that they were not able to do it and were not willing to try. There are many reasons why most didn't try to do it. Even though oil was selling for good money under Jonathan, the govt still wasn't making enough money to set the country on the right path. That coupled with stealing and incompetence made the situation worse. Nigeria is NOT a RICH country when you take into consideration it's population vs the amount of money it makes. The fact that we have corrupt populace/leaders only exacerbate the financial problem that we already have. When you GDP (443 Billion Dollars) is less than half of that of New York city @ 1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS (9 Million Population) and you have 200 million t o feed is when you know that you are not rich. |
Forex360:NO, go abck and read what I wrote. Buhari couldn't do it simply because the govt was constraint especially in 2015/2016 when they were basically trying to keep the govt and the country afloat. The logic is very simple, if previous govts were unable to do it when oil was selling for 100 dollars PLUS, how do you expect a govt to do it with oil selling for 28 dollars? It flies on the face of logic, it's simply not possible. It's wishful thinking and nothing more. |
sevenhundred:He's asking the govt to takes these measures in 2015 when the govt was barely able to stay afloat and meet its financial obligations. Salaries were not being paid, oil was around 28 dollars a barrel by end of 2016 to 2016. If you give a broken down car to the best F1 race car driver, there's nothing he can do with it. You cannot give a F1 race car driver like Hamilton a Honda car and expect him to compete with other race car drivers driving Ferrari cars built for racing. |
[s] 4Play:[/s] Rubbish voodoo economic theory. You are asking Buhari to do something that previous govts were not able to do even when oil was selling for more than 100 dollars per barrel. |
ok All currencies are taking hits right now except for the greenback (Dollar) simply because it's the currency of last resort where people all over the world are packing their money for now. Considering the oil prices and Coronavirus pandemic, the Naira is not doing too bad for now. |
What? The church sacking people? They are heartless. At least this is what a typical Naija person will say if this happens to be the govt or a private company. |
MuchAdo:I'm more than convinced that you are a kid with no memory or was born after 1992. In 1992 US general election, the contest was between G Bush (W Bush's Father), Bill Clinton and Ross Perot, a Texas oil Billionaire. I voted in that election and I remember it like yesterday - Clinton won. Before there was W Bush, G Bush was the President from 1988 to 1992. Before then he was the Vice President to Ronald Reagan for 8 years When I try to educate all these young folks on Nairaland, take it that it's coming from experience and knowledge. Just ask, instead of tring to argue topics in which you have no clue. Your demi god Tramp, is also going to lose just like G H BUSH in 1992. |
Ezennwa:So this order was given in 2012. How come Jonathan didn't order any to the SE while he was in office and had so many Igbos in top offices? I guess they only cared about stealing is not corruption back then. |
[[s]quote author=MuchAdo post=89594972] Sssh!!! You rant a lot. If Donald Trump could not lose when he was outside the White House, he will NEVER lose when he's inside it. You can take that to the bank...[/quote][/s] Even with rigging machines, Jonathan lost an election. In the US where it is harder to rig, any Presidents can lose election. G Bush lost to Clinton in recent memory. Obviously, you are very naive and can't reason at all. Your dull thinking is very typical. Shhhhh, go back to bed. |
The US is charging her citizens 2400 dollars just for a one way flight to DC, while Nigeria charged Nigerians only 425 pounds fro flight from London to Lagos , then put them up in a nice hotel for 14 days in Abuja. Then plan to fly some back to their final destination. The US govt will fly you to DC and you are n your own from there. Some people will not see this now and commend the govt oh. They will only wake up when it's time to critic the govt. The UK govt charged 550 pounds for her citizens leaving on the same plane back to London. These are first hand information. |

[s] Chuknovski:[/s] ANOTHER TRASH. |
[s] Chuknovski:[/s] So none of those following Jesus have never been shot and killed? Abi? That happens every sec around the world. Even Pastors and priest are shot and killed around the world. Jesus didn't save them. Rubbish talk. These over religious fanatical zombies in Nigeria self. Can't you just respect the man's way of life and say RIP? |
goaldynboy:Let's just say the first time I took a flight from Lagos to JFK on Nigerian Airways (for N300) you were not even born yet. That's all you need to know. Kid, return the phone back to your mama and go back to watching Cartoon Network. |
MuchAdo:No problem. Nov will soon be here before you know it. Pls don't blame some unseen characters when he finally loses. I can just see the list of excuses now, oh it's election fraud, it's the immigrants voting, it's Obama, it's Buhari, it's the Anti Christ, it's the Muslims, it's the deep State, it's the black folks, it's the Chinese. And I'm sure Dotard Trump will blame everyone but himself. In fact they might need the police to get that narcissistic Orangutan out of the White House. Just watch |
MuchAdo:That was a fluke that surprised even Trump, he never thought he was going to win. We gonna make sure that the mistake is not made again. Biden is the Next PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Take that to the bank. The American President will be respected around the world again. Make The White Great Again. |
Faithful4real:You better stop watching that fake Faux Entertainment channel. Get your news from reliable sources. CNN, BBC, NBC, ABC, NBC, MSNBC and list goes on. Faux entertainment is not even a news channel, all they do is entertain with fake news to please their Dear Leader TRAMP. |
[s] 9jvirgin:[/s] Trying to compare the economics of these countries with Nigeria even before or after Buhari is childish. You probably didn't even vote for Buhari to start with. I noticed that even when the bad news is about other countries, people like you will try to make it about Nigeria and Buhari. When the bad news is about Nigeria, you don't bring other countries in to say that others are having the same problem. That's when you just want to talk about Nigeria alone. Pls continue with your fucknerry. You guys are just funny as hell.... ![]() |
[s] BlogRabbit:[/s] |
Trump is merely looking for distractions from his abject failure in response to the Covid -19 chaos. We the voters will not be deceived nor swayed with his infantile attempt at changing the narratives. Nov 3rd can't get here fast enough. While the dotard is busy bashing China in public for election purpose, the orangutan idiot, his daughter and son in law are busy importing from China on daily basis. Ivanka Products are made in China, everything at Marlago and other TRAMP's properties are filled with Chinese made products. This is all for election showmanship. We know better though, only the rednecks and some dumb dumb will fall for his theatrics. |
If you try this is a SW and Northern State especially with a Muslim Governor. The next minute - the Criminal Association of Nigeria - CAN will start immediate crying and wailing of planned and suspected Islamization and Fulanization. Then the IPIG crowd will join with their own RUGGANIZATION and marginalization cacophony. But since it's in the SE and done by a Christian Governor, then it must be for a good cause. Chai, what a set of confused people. |
jaytee01:Pls take a chill pill. The program has not EVEN STARTED YET. It's scheduled to be lunched today in just one State then will move to others . |
pasol4real:I mean even a mad man can dream that he's flying in a private jet while walking around naked at the market square and NO ONE can stop him from dreaming. Biafuro would have been bigger the the US self. . It's called Stable psychosis. Not all Psychosis patients are naked and walking around looking dirty, some are actually capable of maintaining the appearance of normality. DREAM ON, it's your God given right. |
[s] Righteousness89:[/s] RUBBISH TRASH. STICK TO THE TOPIC. OPEN A CHURCH IF YOU WANT TO PREACH |
