ibechris: U may be right but in my own case,I return more than 1million in some months. Like last year,I made 13.8 million using 22million capital. But if u chose paper investment,at 13% per annum,270k would be returns per month.
In conclusion, the above still remains my reality until further change in the attitude of the people I do business with. You did well, at 62% of capital, u outperformed most companies listed on d NSE. But, I am almost sure you worked ur ass off. It wasn't easy, u had to put in a lot of ur time in some activities you did rather not. |

ibechris: Does this classification reflects the current class of people in Nigeria. Inflation and devaluation has made this table outdated. I don't think you can be comfortable with 25M nor even rich. Assuming I have 25M as capital to pursue any biz of my choice. - To return half of dat annually, I would be working tirelessly meaning no comfort at d end of d day. - To return 20 to 30% same as above, maybe a little less work, but still no comfort. - To return 13% passively, it will amount to 270k per month. U won't be living comfortably on that either. My pessimistic views... |

Sukuk 3 didn't take this long... I did d Sukuk 3 and never got acknowledgement, after six months I got my interest. If you really want to track ur goverment approved securities and stocks if u have any, register with CSCS, it cost about 4k per year. |

gbengafaro1986: Wahala for who no buy UCAP for 2020, because now entry point is very confusing ...no pull back since 2020 In my opinion, even at current price a 50% plus rise before yearend expecially if they increase dividend again is very likely, maybe #1 plus in dividends per share. To be clear, I didn't study their books, just my deduction from patterns. |

emmanuelewumi: I have been buying United Capital shares since 2013. According to my transaction history my average price is about N2.50k.
I sold 20% of my United Capital holdings at N9.80k
Also sold 80% of my Vitafoam shares, my average price is less than N5. Sold at N21, the proceeds was kept in a Money Market Fund till, I liquidated the fund to buy Sukuk 4 Nice. OK, mine wasn't as eventful as 2020. In 2020, I liquidated d Tbills I have been compounding for 4 to 5 years plus some spare cash I had. I invested half in the stock market around the April "bonanza" and the other half went into the 2020 sukuk. In 2021, I added a few more stocks to my portfolio; Caverton, Redstarex and Glaxosmith. Did some fast trades, most notable was Mansard. I can proudly say that the dividends and coupon covers a good portion of my annual salary. |

emmanuelewumi: Eg getting a loan of N5 million to buy some stocks eg Zenith Bank at N12, Dangote cement at N180, United Capital at N4 In June 2020 but you know that your dividends, coupons, rents and salary in the next 12 months can comfortably liquidate the loan.
By June 2021, Zenith increased to N22 paid a dividend of N3.10 in 12 months at a dividend yield of 23% based on your purchase price and after giving room for withholding tax,
United Capital appreciated to over N6 and paid a dividend of 70k at a dividend yield of about 16%.
Dangote cement appreciated to N250 and paid a dividend of N16.
The capital appreciation will make the loan repayment faster, but because the Investor has cash flow he can easily liquidate the loan if the capital appreciation did not happen as expected. Search for "Buy, borrow, die: How rich Americans live off their paper wealth." It is about how wealthy Americans leverage loans to evade taxes, etc. With money u can easily make more money. Na when u no get na then u go know howfar. |

Biafran4life: Based on the chart. It means if you are able to hit the 10-15percent within a day or two in that month you are done with the month and do it the next month .Or you keep trading almost all days of the month to hit your targeted percent for the month after all commissions I guess your system should determine when to enter or leave a trade. If u hit target u quit. Pls, don't try it o, I was just joking. Though d values in d table are real. |

emmanuelewumi: Too much book dey worry you. It is possible, but cant be consistent, by the 3 year the market will take back what it gave you.
500% annual return should turn your N3 million to about N4 billion or more in 5 years Haba, by d time u hit 30 to 50 million it would be unsustainable. The market is not that liquid. Na to dey recycle, start with 3 end with 16, then re-wash. |

Biafran4life: Trading in what pls I have shown it before on the forum, that many stocks make 5% to 10%, even more within d month. A couple do it then settle back where they started at month end, I have been observing. Some of the above are very liquid. A month has up to 20 trading days. Why can't it be done? Why can't someone be clever enough to seize the opportunity, just 15% a month? |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ositadima1(m): 12:58pm On Dec 26, 2021 |
emmanuelewumi: It is possible?
Can it be consistent for 3 years, that is a difficult one to answer. To pull it off, such person should have mastered fundamental analysis as well as technical analysis. He should know how to compute intrinsic values and be able to marry it with market sentiments. Technical analysis for entry/exit, buying mostly deeps and occasional riding uptrends. Very hard, but doable. |
