ME After I've made up my mind to pursue doctorate degree in compute science, I used educational website such as Usnews, gradcafe to search for school that offer PhD in computer science with concentration in computer science and I streamline them based to my research interest which is application of machine learning for medical diagnosis. Then I found Dr Veronika which she then set up zoom interview with me and recommended me for the admission

ME I chose MSU cos the research of my potential supervisor Dr veronika perfectly align with my research interest, also I was awarded a GTA that covers my tuition and Living expenses also the department of computer science allows interdisciplinary research with medical sciences department and this will be a huge boost to my research, also MSU is rank R1 which means they've higher research output, this will help me to achieve my long time goal of being a faculty

ME ( *By this time I already regain my composure and I want to impress her for the last time)* my mom died of cancer in 2009, so my research is to build a ML algorithm that is capable of diagnosing cancer, this research will help in two ways *1* it will help Nigeria in the area of scarcity of doctors *2* research has shows that people that got diagnose early has a higher chance of beating cancer than people diagnose at later stage. My second goal is to be a lecturer and nurture the young ones, I've been doing this since(she cut in)

You don't need a new I 20 if you are planning to go for spring.

I don't think so except if you still have like 3 days before your interview date. Then yes. Edit and update on yourprofile.

My start date is Jan 10. The day I applied for EA was 50 days to resumption and no I did not send any email for surge. Just used the EA option on my CGI portal.
(I had been denied EA twice before, and I paid another MRV fee before this was approved)

Has abuja started giving out surge date?

You can apply for both EA and surge. Most surge are being approved while the EA response will become denial. If you applied for surge look out for their mail. Have applied for EA since last month and no response but after applying for surge I got a date for Dec 1st and a denial for EA.

I applied in abuja and my expedited appointment was not approved. Can I apply for surge interview in lagos. Do I have to cancel and change my location to lagos. How many times can one cancel ones appointment with the same MRV. For

I haven’t been denied before. I’m a fresh visa applicant. But from what I have deduced reading other people’s posts on surge date, if you have been denied at a location, it’s advised you apply for the surge date in another location. Likewise for EA too.

Someone I know got approval email this morning, the person was denied in August, Abuja. Already booked a date for December in Abuja but got approved for Lagos surged date this morning for December 1st.

My emergencydaterequest has been denied 3 times. I don'tknow what else to do. I am to resume Jan 13 and the earliest dateI got is Feb. I was denied visa fall and I have since been on it. Kindly give me advice on what to do.

Please how soon can I request for an emergency appointment if the start date of my program is Jan 2022 (although earliest admission date on I-20 is Dec 5th). I know the guidance is 60 days but it seems as though some people here have been able to get EA’s more than 60 days earlier.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
