Lagos is what it is because it is the melting point and economic nerve centre of 200 million Nigerians, and the centre of an economy which is the largest in Africa, which economy is in turn mostly run by oil revenue from places outside Lagos. Lagos is what it is because Nigeria is what it is and it is the real capital of Nigeria, aside from having been the legal capital for the better part f a century - from 1914 to 1991. That's 77 years.

Lagos was neither founded nor built by Bola Tinubu. The way you guys talk, one would think he discovered Lagos and built it himself.

Lagos has been able to enjoy a level of success due to many factors bordering on high IGR and favourable geographical positioning.

Alaba market alone generates billions monthly which reveals that Igbos are seriously contributing to the state. PPP projects and other big businesses situated in Lagos all account for the fair development.

Imagine the development that Lagos would have been enjoying if Tinubu is not squandering the finances of Lagos.

I was at the endSARs protest and we were not there because of one incompetent Obi who used SARs to kill people when he was governor.

There's no different ideology among all of US who are running, there's no much difference.

In the real world when you are asked this kind of question, you take the opportunity to differentiate yourself to let the public know that you are better ideologically and philosophically, you state the contrasts between you and your opponents and why Nigerians must choose you because you are better philosophically and ideologically.


How do you as a presidential candidate just sit there and admit to the world that you and your opponents are the same? It's like saying you have nothing better to offer so Nigerians are free to pick the other candidates.

That was a very sad and disheartening interview.

Just too sad.

Former governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi , was invited by the Chief Tax Officer in Onitsha to present evidence that he has paid his tax for six years.

Peter Obi decided to honour the invitation himself. He came along with his aide and showed the Chief Tax Officer, Mrs Nwakpudolu Juliet, not his six years tax clearance certificate, but his twenty years tax clearance certificate showing that he has paid tax of N204m.

He said that it is important that citizens pay their taxes and that he was impressed with the way the chief tax officer invited him. Impressive. Very impressive. This is how it should be done: When people say you don't have something, you present it, not to hire twenty SANs to defend you, or to keep quiet, or to blame someone else for your crimes.
If it were some people, they would have started alleging that some people want to witch-hunt them by demanding their tax certificate. Not Peter obi To him, tax was something that ought to be paid.

Throwing his weight behind calls for a South-East presidency, Chief Olu Falae, said though he was unaware of Afenifere’s position on Obi, he would support the South East in 2023.

Falae, a former Minister of Finance, said: “I am an Afenifere but as far as I am aware, Afenifere has not taken a position as an organization on a presidential candidate. That is the position.

“I did say sometimes ago that the Yoruba, as a people, are not morally obliged to vote for an Igbo presidential candidate because in 1999, when the rest of Nigeria conceded the presidency to Yoruba because of MKO Abiola’s issue, it was only the Igbo, who did not.

“I had to defeat Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife in the Alliance for Democracy to become the candidate for the AD/APP. Olusegun Obasanjo had to defeat Dr Alex Ekuweme in the PDP to become a candidate.

“The Igbo were the only ones that opposed both of us in our respective parties; they did not concede to us along with other Nigerians.
“However, if you are a fair-minded Yoruba person, you will realise that there are three legs to the political tripods in Nigeria, the Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo.

“The first two have been presidents and so, equity requires that the Igbo should be president. So, if you are a fair-minded Yoruba person like I am, then you will vote for the Igbo based on equity.”

When contacted, Secretary-General of YCE, Dr Kunle Olajide, said the elders will meet and make their position known on which presidential candidate to support in 2023.

The YCE scribe said: “We have not been informed or briefed. Yes, we support restructuring and we stand for restructuring but as far as we are concerned, restructuring should be fundamental to any incoming government.

“So, Afenifere is not wrong in taking that decision but we were not informed, my president was not informed. We will make our stand known soon but we are not aligned to Afenifere supporting the presidential candidate of Labour Party.”
