APCNig:Very ungrateful lots. They will start abusing Soludo now. |
Tecnophone:See grammar These followers of Obi and Atiku are so uneducated. And he is here saying someone didn't go to school |
DMerciful:Assuming Obi won (which will never happen, I must say), how would you have appreciated the deep mess when Obi is not ready to chase any thief? Obi is a crook, a silent one for that matter. Here is someone operating secret accounts with billions of dollars stashed in them from the state's coffers when he was governor. Till today, Obi hasn't told us how the billion of dollars in those account got there and where he made the money from. |
AnonPoet:Until we have a law that extends arrest to family members and friends who have benefited directly and indirectly from crooks in government (like those heading CBN), corruption will continue to be condoned and celebrated. Imagine family members that should bury their heads in shame coming to address the press and telling us all is well... their daughter/wife hasn't done anything wrong. Imagine the temerity... |
ch3ckm8:Losing an election is not the end of the world and if you can't stand losing in an election, you don't deserve winning one. 2027 is around the corner. Even if your candidate loses again (which obviously will be the case), he can still come back in 2031. Don't slip into depression because Obi lost at the ballot and in court. He can still do something useful with his life from the sidelines. |
Corrinthians:Thank you, my brother, for this free education. Hopefully, he has learned something today |
This conversation happened between President Tinubu and Peter Obi shortly after the PEPT delivered judgement on the petitions against the election of President Tinubu. Tinubu: Ajuri, congratulations again on yesterday's judgement Ajuri: Yes, sir! Congratulations, sir. It was a sound and deep judgement. The judiciary did really well, your excellency. Nigerians are proud Tinubu: This calls for celebration. Now we can focus on governance and put politics behind us. Ajuri: Yes, your excellency. Hopefully, Mr Peter will be courageous enough to put a call through and congratulate you, sir. Tinubu: That boy, Obi and his supporters (obidients or what do they call them) are really funny. They thought they won? Ajuri: We can't blame Mr Peter, he has been a trader all his life. The lawyers that should rightly advise him failed to do so. Tinubu: Hmmm... Ajuri: It seems they were only interested in his money. Their watery petitions say it all, your excellency. Tinubu: I saw the way the judges trashed all the petitions... I really pity Obi. Do you have Obi's phone number, Ajuri? Ajuri: I have it, your excellency. Tinubu: Call him... Tell him, his excellency, the president of the federal republic of Nigeria wants to talk to him Ajuri: I am calling him now, your excellency. His phone is rigging... Your excellency Mr Peter Obi. This is Ajuri, SA to Mr President Obi: How are you, Ajuri? I hope all is well with you. Ajuri: Yes, your excellency. I am fine. Sir, His excellency, the president of Nigeria wants to talk to you. Obi: Mr President? Please, give the phone to him. Your excellency, sir, good evening Mr President. Tinubu: Good evening, Obi. How are you and your family? Obi: We are fine, your excellency. How is Aso Rock, your excellency? Tinubu: Life is great here, Obi. It is good to be president of Nigeria. Me and my team are really enjoying being here ![]() Obi: Good to hear that, your excellency. Tinubu: I asked Ajuri to call you in view of the PEPT judgement which was delivered yesterday. You still refused to make the call and congratulate me. Obi: Your excellency, I am still consulting with my erudite legal team on what to do. They keep telling me I won and that I have hope Tinubu: Won what? Obi: The presidential election. My erudite lawyers said I should be the one in Aso Rock, not you, your excellency. Tinubu: You called those ones erudite lawyers? Those ones who told you 25% of Abuja is a must to be declared president? Obi: Yes, your excellency. I believe them. I believe I won and my obidient followers also strongly believe I won Tinubu: Heheheheheheheh . You believe you defeated me, the Jagaban?Obi: Yes, your excellency. And I am going to appeal the judgement Tinubu: Obi, Obi, Obi... how many times did I call you? Obi: Three times, your excellency Tinubu: Stop wasting your time and resources. It was clear you lost the election. Those lawyers are only interested in your money. Even Ajuri agreed with me on this. Obi: That's not true your excellency. Some of these lawyers are also obidients and even working on pro bono basis. Tinubu: Obi, you're a neophyte in politics. Nobody does anything for free in politics... Come to Bourdillon for political education. Obi: That is not correct, your excellency. I have been a governor, presidential adviser, and a party leader. Tinubu: Obi, political neophytism is not a condition that is easily cured by being a governor or a political adviser. You need to come to Bourdillon for politics 102 Obi: I don't agree, your excellency. I have enough experience already Tinubu: Hehehehehehe . I see, you have enough experience... That's why you lost the presential election and quack lawyers are pushing you around.Obi: Your excellency, we will meet at the Supreme court. I am convinced that I won the election Tinubu: Obi, when will you stop being dilutional? I can see you're the problem, not your lawyers or your followers (obidients) Obi: I am not being dilutional, your excellency. I believe I won the election and I have evidence Tinubu: Hehehehehehe Why didn't you present the evidence at the PEPT? Obi: I did, your excellency. They didn't just look at my evidence. Tinubu: Hahahahahaha Peteru... Stop deceiving yourself and your followers. You couldn't prove anything at the PEPTObi: Your excellency, my erudite lawyers will prove my case at the supreme court. I am confident the SC judges will rule in my favor Tinubu: Obi, I like your spirit... that is what I call "can do" spirit. When you lose in SC, we would see how Nigeria could tap into your "can do" spirit. Obi: I am confident of winning at the SC, your excellency sir. So, for now, it is not over. Tinubu: Wil you call and congratulate me when it is over? I know and even Nigerians now know you lost the election and you have no evidence to support the allegations you are making Obi: If my lawyers say I should, I will, your excellency but I am sure of winning at the SC. Tinubu: Obi, that's fine. I have some foreign guests waiting for me at the dinner table. Life is sweet in Aso Rock... Bye for now. Obi: Bye, your excellency. |
nairalandkachy1:What momentum? If anybody is found milling around or making noise anywhere (even on social media), he/she should be tracked down and picked up. The court has ruled... Tinubu is the president for the next 8 years |
Melezenawii: ![]() He wants to be declared winner without counting the votes. Ole...Pandoraaaa Obi |
Ozommadu:See the black man mentality again... Yoruba Muslims are all you saw in the post. No wonder the best of people you could present are crooks like Obi, etc. |
Africans are watching with keen interest the booting out of the so called "civilian" leaders in some African countries. From Sudan to Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Chad, and recently Niger and Gabon. In many of the African countries, citizens were seen jubilating and welcoming the military with open arms. First, it is a shame that the civilian rulers in Africa are so wickedly corrupt and clueless to the extent that the citizens were left with no option but to celebrate the return to power of the once chastised military junta in Africa. It is a shame that civilian rule (democracy), despite all the promises of it, has had no impact on the wellbeing of the people of Africa. It is a shame that even the western evangelists of democracy could not find their voice due to the pervasive poor performance of democratic leaders on the continent of Africa. Every country you go in Africa, the junta have valid reasons to boot out the civilian leaders and wherever it happens, the people celebrate. Instead of the remaining civilian African leaders to see this as an opportunity to re-orient themselves and begin to work hard and in the interest of the people, they are now busy sacking their miliary generals and putting their puppets to prevent the "inevitable". We have seen these foolish steps been taken in Cameroon, Rwanda, etc. It is foolish because there is no guarantee that whoever heads the military won't be interested in power. As a matter of fact, the more upset and manipulations you do in the military hierarchy, the more the likelihood of even a coup when you have crooks undeservedly heading the military. The only thing that can prevent any civilian government in Africa from being booted out is to show to the world and the people of the country that leadership is about the people and not personal shenanigans, titles, acquisitions, etc. Work hard for the people and the country. Develop your country and empower your people. It is not difficult to do and if you think it is a difficult thing to do, leave the stage for those who can do it. There is no excuse for failure... It is not by force to lead a country if you don't have a clue. |
Is this assertion correct? Someone was emphatic about it today and advised the president not to appoint the next CBN governor from that sector. Just like civilians were made the ministers (substantive and state) of defense, someone outside of the banking sector, vast in economics, should be made the next CBN governor. |
From the contributions here, it is obvious we all know politicians (ministers, senators, govs, etc) are only there to loot but we seem unconcerned as we commend and laugh. The same people/contributors here will lament on other threats and wonder why things are not working well and economy is in shambles. The fact is, we all know but we are either defeated physcologically and we think there is nothing we can do or we're even worse in character than those politicians. |
The result is not yet accessible online... What's the problem with WAEC? At this time and age. You went to the press announcing the results have been released and now accessible. Accessible where? |
Throwback:Politicians should lead this struggle by ruling well and giving the military no excuse to takeover power. If you have a sit-down with those military junta in Nger, they will give you thousands of valid reasons for chasing the politicians away from power. As long as African politicians keep seeing leadership as an avenue to wealth acquisition compounded by their unquenchable greed, it would be difficult to prevent the military from returning to government houses in Africa. We don't want this, but unfortunately, our politicians are not helping matters. |
renderme:In his personal capacity, he may be good and might even have good intentions. However, he is going to work in a ministry filled with people who have be impoverished by their greedy black African leaders whose leadership mental capacity is too low to evolve a thriving human society. To an average black African, leadership is all about access (illiticitly) to wealth and resources of the people. It is worse than pathetic. |
Godsonkemz:Ori e ti daru... What makes his government illegitimate? Because nyanmuris didn't vote for him? He won with the highest number of votes and also scoring 25% in more than 2/3 of the states. And we made it happen - we voted for him. |
HNICEARTH:You know the way black Africans think. May be his father wasn't rich enough to have private jets... That may be her own definition of poverty. Awan oloribuku gbogbo. |
ryloy:But people are happy with the military take-over. Let the politicians rule well and military won't have any pretense to take over government. |
ProducerXTN:Wherever the politicians fail to deliver good leadership as we have seen in most African countries, the same thing will happen someday. People will embrace the military and celebrate them even though, it is still going to be a vicious circle of maladministration. Africans don't have the capacity to lead yet. |
damilola4162:Nobody will beg anybody... Even in countries that are richer than us, they use bicycle. But here, everybody wants to show off and they want free fuel. |
spencekat:Why? Nigerians are very corrupt in mind. Why would you accept finance, work & housing but won't take any other? Because there is more money on finance and works. And you too want a better Nigeria |
Fantastic list! At least, Tinubu tried to bring onboard great minds. Let's see if our great minds (profs, Dr, SAN, Economists, captains of industry, etc) won't disappoint us again. Me, I still don't believe Africans can rule themselves. We don't have the mental capacity yet. So, I won't be disappointed if they fail us. |
We managed to secure an order from another court. We won't release him |
ejimatic:Thank you, the Law... Our brothers from the east should be educated on how the law works. They seem to always want to lead with sentiments. Even the lawyers among them... What's their problem? |
proff010:Of course, DSS won... Ordinary prison officials can't stop well-armed DSS operatives from carrying out their duty. |
Omooba77: ![]() Atiku is now the court |
