https://blogs.glam.com/glambuzz/files/2012/12/JAYBEY.gif Jay-Z and Beyoncé This powerhouse couple not only welcomed their beautiful daughter Blue Ivy into the world, but both breadwinners experienced platinum- selling success. Beyoncé’s fourth studio album, aptly titled 4 , sold over one million copies and along with her endorsement deals and other ventures, she managed to net $40 million. Her hubby, Jay-Z kept busy on the road, touring with Watch The Throne mate Kanye West, breaking ground at Barclays with the BrooklynNets, and gaining residuals from his work with beauty company Carol’s Daughter, to the tune of $38 million. The major players pair nabbed the top spot on Forbes’ list of high-earning celebrity couples, proving that the music magnates will continue to reign supreme well into the newyear. https://blogs.glam.com/glambuzz/files/2012/12/KIMYE.gif Kanye West and Kim Kardashian This duo hasn’t even been dating for a year yet, and already, they’ve been dubbed KimYe: the leather and fur-loving pair that the world has grown to know and (maybe) love. Atfirst glance, they might seem like an unlikely couple. There’s Kanye, the elusive rapper who has shied away from mainstream interviews and instead relies on chart-topping tunes and his unique affinity for high fashion to make a name. Then, there’s Kim, the Twitter-loving socialite who lives her life out in front of the camera for all to see, faux bangs and all. But, with their front row appearances, love of leather in the summer, and Kanye’s gift of “Mercy” to Kim, this was a match in (tabloid) heaven! https://blogs.glam.com/glambuzz/files/2012/12/BIEL.gif Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel This pair’s inclusion on our top couple’s list should come at no surprise, especially when nuptials and a pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture wedding gown come into play. After a five-year relationship and shocking March 2011 split, the couple reunited right in time for Mr. Timberlake to pop the question in December of last year. Fast forward to October 19, 2012 when the Hollywood starlets flew 100 of their closest friends and family to the Borgo Egnazia resort in Italy where they finally said “I Do!” Now, onto the baby bump watch! https://blogs.glam.com/glambuzz/files/2012/12/BECKS.gif David Beckham and Victoria Beckham Here’s to the U.K.’s other royals! The brooding Beckhams charted in at number three on Forbes’ highest-paid celebrity couples list, and looked picture perfect while doing so. Although David is leaving the Los Angeles Galaxy (and the U.S.?), he still has endorsements with Samsung, Burger Kingand H&M — who can forget those underwear ads? As far as Victoria, she just so happened to perform at the London Olympics for the Spice Girls’ highly-anticipated reunion, and continues to run her namesake designer label, which pulls in $40 million a year. Plus, when your offspring models in a Burberry ad, à la Romeo Beckham, there’s no denying how major of a couple you are. https://blogs.glam.com/glambuzz/files/2012/12/BRITS.gif Kate Middleton and Prince William And now, on to the real royal family. What would 2012 be without Catherine— Duchess of Cambridge and her dashing Prince William? Their 2011 wedding — watched by nearly 300 million worldwide — was one thing, but now, the honorable newly weds have topped that. They’re having a baby! Congrats are certainly in order, but we have to inquire, is it a boy or a girl?! http://blogs.glam.com/glambuzz/2012/12/27/we-all-want-love-the-top-5-celebrity-couples-of-2012/ |
Love her or hate her, Kim Kardashian continues to pique the world’s curiosity. Her infamous booty, attention seeking family, well publicized divorce from Kris Humphries, and high profile relationship with Kanye West has kept her in the spotlight and people just can’t get enough. So it’s no surprise then that Kardashian was the most searched woman of 2012; she topped the list at Glam, Google, Bing, Yahoo, and more. And though her relationships are intriguing, most people are still looking up her s3x tape and fiending for details on her multi-million dollar wedding. It’s clear that the masses can’t and won’t stop Keeping Up With The Kardashians. This year Khloe, Kourtney, and Rob Kardashian were also exceptionally popular online and recently Kylie and Kendall Jenner have been holding their own. Kim, however remains at the top of the heap and we’re sure she’ll continue to reign supreme in 2013! http://blogs.glam.com/glambuzz/2012/12/28/kim-kardashian-is-the-most-searched-star-of-2012/ |

1025: improve what oga?His game of course.... |
^^Hopefully, the competition that Ba brings can help him improve |
Demba Ba hit the net twice for Chelsea in their 5-1 win against Southampton at St. Mary's, the home ground of the Saints, in the FA cup 3rd round tie. Ba scored the 1st and 4th goal of the game, and would have scored an hat-trick, but was denied a goal when Saints keeper, Boruc's feet stopped Ba from heading in. He could have scored a dream debut hat-trick when Chelsea was awarded a penalty, but it was Lampard who stepped up to the spot to put it past the keeper, and this puts the midfielder on level with Chelsea's 2nd highest goalscorer in the club's history with 193 goals..... Goalscorers: Ba (34, 60), Moses 46, Ivanovic 51, Lampard 82.... Do you think this spells the end for Torres, or this will wake him up from his goalscoring slumber? |

Gay clergy in civil partnerships will be allowed to become bishops but they must promise to be celibate. The statement effectively lifts the ban on gay bishops, which was introduced in 2011 pending a review on the church’s position. The Church has already agreed to allow people in civil partnerships to become clergy, provided they promised they would remain celibate, and repentfor active homosexuality in the past. Ba has signed on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee, believed to match the £7.5m release clause in his Newcastle contract. Ba, who scored 29 goals in 54 league appearances during his time on Tyneside, will wear the No 29 shirt at Stamford Bridge. He told the Chelsea website: "It feels good to be here, I'm very happy and very proud. "It was important for me, and for Newcastle, to get my future sorted and now we can move on. Now they have the whole month to buy someone and for me as well, the sooner the better. Now I am here I just need to get settled in. "When the club who won the Champions League wants you, the decision is very easy. This club is massive and that's something that helped the decision a lot. It was not a hard one." He will be eligible for selection for tomorrow's FA Cup match at Southampton, and the Capital One Cup semi-final against Swansea, but cannot play for Chelsea in the Europa League this season having appeared in the competition for Newcastle. http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3030470/title/ba-transfer-completed

Women of a certain age who feel their memory is letting them down may not be imagining it. It is a sign of the menopause, say researchers. A study has confirmed that around the time of the change many women struggle with memory and other brain skills. Fluctuating levels of female hormones are the likely cause of the problem, which affects women most badly during the first year of the menopause. But the good news is it is not linked to depression or sleep problems and the effects are unlikely to be permanent. Dr Miriam Weber, a neuropsychologist at the University of Rochester Medical Centre, who led the study, said the findings would strike a chord with millions of women going through the menopause. Memory difficulties are one of the most common symptoms for women in their late 40s and early 50s, she said, a transition stage known as perimenopausal. She said: ‘This study suggests that these problems not only exist but become most evident in the women in the first year following their final menstrual period.’ The average age that women in Britain start the menopause is 50. They develop symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, depression, irritability and loss of concentration. Villagers from India's Santipur, on the Bhutan border, have beaten leading Assam politician, Bikram Singh Brahma, after he allegedly raped a woman in her home at 2am. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said anyone found guilty of rape 'would not be spared, whether he is a Congressman or not.' It is another shocking sex crime against a woman in a country that is trying to come to terms with the gang rape and death of a 23-year-old student last week. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2256717/Indian-politician-Bikram-Singh-Brahma-beaten-villagers-raping-woman.html
