I once went to a church in Anthony Village. They would send buses as far as Yaba and Ketu picking up young children to fill this huge hall. Prayer time was "pray for your mother! Pray for your daddy! They are sinners! They are going to hell!" About a thousand children 6 year old to 12 would be rolling on the floor crying to God to save their mummy and daddy from going to hell. I must have gone 4 or five times. I was 9 at the time and I always wondered what type of dreams such people have.

7. They forced people to accept Islam and killed those who refused them.
8. They turned many into widows and widowers, destroyed property, raped little children and forced young girls into very early marriages, according to the deeds of Mohammad when he was alive.
9. Now the leader of the people named Uthman made himself strong. And he said, Umar was strong, but I am stronger.
10. Therefore let every iron submit to me, for I am here to bend every unbendable.
11. I will ignite the fire of violence upon the unbelievers ten times more than Mohammad and Umar put together.
12. Let the beasts of the jungle hear my voice and flee.
13. Now Uthman called Rukayya his wife and said, your father killed a thousand people for Allah, but I shall kill a million.
14. Now Uthman was very rich, because he was a merchant before becoming the leader of the people.
15. Now in the days of Uthman, the people of his land enjoyed more wealth than in the days of Abu Bakre and Umar, because he made sure more money was allocated to the people.
16. However, he put much more resources into warfare, fighting and killing the unbelievers in different lands.
17. Now when Uthman was the ruler of the people, the people of Makran rebelled, saying, we shall no more be under the rulership of Uthman.
18. Now when Uthman heard this saying, he sent armies to the land to destroy it. So Makran was subdued with great bloodshed.

OP it's possible to hate church and yet love God, because while the church is a variable, God is a constant.

And the only way the church can become constant as God is, is when it constantly follows and keeps to God's standard, otherwise it would be seen changing from time to time.

So I hope you get the kind of church, you deserve that matches your desire and thirst for God, even though I doubt the possibility.

But do not be discouraged even though you don't find one which suits your spiritual taste, just keep building yourself up spiritually meanwhile for I know that in a short while that the church would be back, as it was in the second beginning, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Are you talking about the Christian Bible? If so, there are definitely some truths in there. Some stories sound out of touch with reality, but I will definitely say that one can receive inspiration from the Bible.

a book filled with 95% lies should not be called a book of truth. As for receiving inspiration, that's not a big deal ad there's virtually nothing that one cannot receive inspiration from, as far as you put too much of your emotions in it. Even cocaine-inhalers, igbo and shisha smokers confess that they receive inspiration from smoking those stuffs, yet that doesn't make the weed or smoke they inhale to be legal.
