UBA and ECObank! The same kind of people! Give her her money oo! Thieves!!

Just forget those people...thee stole my 5k since 1st June...i complained and complained,, and all they could tell me was--- in their words.. "We would like to inform you that the disputed fund has been DECLINED BY ACQUIRER as customer got value."

meaning-" we can't give you your money, because your'e lying about no been paid....so Bleep off.... "

I couldn't keep wasting airtime calling cust care...and wasting tp for just 5k.....

I'm already planning to open an account in a new bank.

Pivot5:
Sha, my people....I left the place when i realized the whole thing was not what we thought. My fellow non-coded participants, i heard were still there by 4pm unattended to after using up their whole day finding themselves in a situation for which they never saw coming.

I did find myself too in that situation anyway, but i didn't let them steal more than a few hours of my productive time before i took the exit door.

So you that weren't invited and had been cursing your luck and yabbing God, please ask for forgiveness for you never knew how much it felt loosing productive time and money and still getting back home unfulfilled.

That was AVDD 2016 in Lagos.......Nothing really changed from what they were.

I choose abuja as my pitch location......but till now no response from them.....some1 suggested i go to the Abuja Pitch tomorrow whether or not i get a reply....

but from what your saying, i guess it ain't worth it....

Ideas that can boost the economy, employment...I really tot that was the reason for this event...but watching the live stream, i was just disappointed. Many of the "best" were already running businesses, no tech savy concept....

it almost seemed like the system was hitched because, even before the program started....i was already seeing tweets of "special" pitch...from one -agrodata- and I ask.....why ask us to apply when you already have the "chosen ones".....

Naija....i hail thee...

Williambanks:
please where is the address for abuja. I received a message and its tomorrow

You recieved a message?

The judging was fair... All professionals... No mago mago

Next up is Abj.
my preferred location......still waiting for a response from AVDD though.

GlorifiedTunde:
Nah! I passed.

I have a reservation on ideas flying out.

I pitched my IT business idea, it wasn't good enough for them.

I have apps ideas also but I'm not a developer.

I expect you to ask me about my idea, what it will do and how it will benefit customers and my ROI. Not asking if I have developed it yet.

Many developers don't own the idea, many innovators also don't have the skill set to develop.

In actual sense, I had an app that my least charge from a developer was about $10,000 - this is what I need finance for.

True....

other Tech pitch events av watched, bordered on
...

what will this tech innivation solve?

what are you doing differently or better?

how can you make money?

what's next?(launch phase, future goal etc...)

.....If i'm invited to pitch, i might.....our idea is already a work in Progress, already nearing a launch date, so i see this pitch as a form of publicity.......

after all its Nigeria.....our own de different......its both our gift and curse.

GlorifiedTunde:
Yes this is true. A supplementary list was made. I think they found out some of those pitches not picked may be better than those that were presented.

For example before I left I could pick only 4 major great ideas.

good to know.....u did well bro, so did you pitch?

tbaba1234:
You can watch the live stream here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRQHP0DGVeM

can't wait for saturday....the ABUJA PITCH.

But these Ideas are our intellectual rights.....we need support..not our ideas been stolen.

M not naive.....it's how the world works.....the strong prey on the startups....

Na only baba God knw hw the ABJ pitch go be.

GlorifiedTunde:
Not that we have 2000 people pitching, I mean only 80 pitches selected from 2000 who registered online

My mistake......so how is the tension over there?

GlorifiedTunde:
Lolz. But why now.

Well I've been speaking to a couple of "non pitchers" qjo are definitely not OK with the set up and processes.

Many got text messages they didn't understand.

Many are of the idea that they already have those they want

Many of us had to reregister

The program started too late - about 10:44am

80 people were selected out of 2000 pitches to present this morning.

More coming

2k for only Lagos?....how many go come de Abj?.....but you said you had to re-register, does that mean you are pitching?

..I choose Abj as my location.

Emmy9ite:
Has anyone received a pitch code for Port Harcourt??

I'm for Abuja....no response yet.

tbaba1234:
You should still try to confirm. Keep trying to contact them on social media

they aren't responding..

From what i understand, it's only those for the LAGOS pitch that were contacted....and its only them that can get a positive reply from the interactive call.....

For we that applied with ABJ as our own location, I guess we should receive a reply after the LAGOS pitch is concluded.......

Goodmorning everyone....

cc: @tbaba1234....am i correct?

Peinstein:
Do you still plan on going to the venue tomorrow?

For where??

I'm in Abuja......i can't get to lagos this night ....even by Air, dat would have to be as early as 7am

but i selected my preferred location as Abuja......so i see mo reason why i should go to lagos.....

me just tire sef.....av been preparing for this Demo like madt.....but right now, i just feel like am wasting my time.......better i concentrate on my startup business,......that's the reason i applied in the 1st place.

Naija i hail thee...

The same complaints all over twitter....

tbaba1234:
Contact on Facebook or twitter...

av been sending them messages all day, @asovillademoday but no one is replying our tweets..

Peinstein:
I have tried the aso villa number with the number i used in registering my pitch. All in heard from the voice prompt was that I didn't send the pitch, or I wasn't calling with the number I used to register. However, it is the same number I received the message to send my preferred location and startup name

What other options exist

Can I just go ahead to the pitch event

Same here....i called with the same number i used to register the same number i used to reply with my preferred location et al.....

My guess is there is a tech hitch somewhere.......why don't we recieve SMS notifications like before??

cc: @tbaba1234

bishopjoe02:
hey buddy, did you get any feedback from them after sending your startup and and preferred location. I am in your shoe

no reply yet oooo....

KeDv:
I also received the sms, unfortunately, my phone was Off the previous day so I couldn't reply under one hour. I did however replied about 16hrs later. Just want to enquire from you if you got any text from them acknowledging getting ur text. Or have you been further contacted again?

Haven't received a reply as of now.....although i picked Abj as my preferred pitch Location.

JeffreyJamez:
Lol no shakes bro, I'm sure you'll represent wella... when you are ready lemme know.

yessur....

tbaba1234:
mail: tbaba1234@yahoo.com

thanks, i just sent you a mail.

JeffreyJamez:
You ready bro?

Egbon.......i didn't sleep last night oo....practicing like madt........
