Family / Interested In Multiple Income Streams? by otesy: 12:11pm On May 12, 2011
We all know that there's hardly anyone who is satisfied with what they make as salaries in Nigeria. Instead of wallowing in quiet desperation, why not join me and explore an opportunity to enjoy multiple streams of incomes. It's totally legit, requires hard work and can be done in your spare time. If you are interested email me on otesy@ymail.com stating your location so I can invite you to a presentation that will change your life. Will get back to you,

@Black_Revo:Forcing people who do not want to attend polytechnic to go there is hardly a solution. Employers already discriminate against HND graduates. Will the government also force employers to stop doing that?
Education / Re: Why Do Nigerian Students Fail Jamb Exams? by otesy: 8:25am On Mar 31, 2010
@ all, how many of those who took JAMB from 1995 to date and passed it can actually say truthfully that they took the exam sincerely? Let's be truthful to ourselves, how many of you did not use Expo, did not see the questions before the exam, did not ask questions from fellow students during the exam, did not spy from a fellow students work, did not use phones(after phone came out) or have other people write the exams on their behalf? If you did any of these then you didn't pass JAMB truthfully so let's stop deceiving ourselves with the "I passed" when you had to cheat to pass. The sooner we see the truthful picture of things and stop deceiving ourselves with unduly hard questions that only the people who cheat can pass, we'll continue to have students in the Universities who have no business being there and all the honest and intelligent students will find their way to Ghanaian Universities where they'll be very much welcome, To the handful of you who sincerely passed without cheating, kudos to you,
Education / Re: Why Do Nigerian Students Fail Jamb Exams? by otesy: 3:27pm On Mar 30, 2010
@Orikinla, garbage in garbage out.  Why do we expect the performance of students today to be comparable to that of years before?  Has anything remained the same?  Have NEPA, water supply, state of roads as well all other infrastructure not deteriorated?  Why then do we expect the exact opposite in the education system?  Blaming the kids will not get us anywhere.  It's all a reflection of decades of rot in our society,  Instead of deceiving ourselves by setting exams that will not tell us the true capabilities of our children, but rather push them to committing all sorts of atrocities so they can scale through, let's open our eyes and see the truth, Most of the so called smart students who scale through JAMB do so through fraudulent means. Holding on to the premise that JAMB will select and ensure that only capable students make it into the universities will only ensure that students who cannot defend their scores make it into the Universities while those who can are kept at home, frustrated.
Education / Re: Why Do Nigerian Students Fail Jamb Exams? by otesy: 1:34pm On Mar 30, 2010
I totally disagree with the idea that students who fail JAMB are lazy or dull.  JAMB is an exam where the cut off mark is determined by the scores obtained.  While those students who are true to themselves, (and as such obtain scores which should actually be used in setting the cut off mark) are ridiculed,   scores obtained by one form of cheating or the other are used as a bench mark to set the cut off mark. This gives the impression that these students, who actually read and perform to the best of their capabilities, are lazy.  Let's take a step back and check ourselves, students do not set out to fail.  The failure or inability of students who put in hard work in order to meet up with the false standards set by JAMB (as a result of cut off marks that are set with falsely obtained scores) can whole be traced back to the poor level of education in the country.  It is simply a reflection, a ripple effect of the total failure of our educational system.  The fact that schools can no longer keep the attention of our students is a problem that we need to address.  Education can be just as interesting as the Premier League, Championships, Music etc.  Totally blaming the educational system too will be a failure on my part.  The success or failure of a child can usually be traced back to the home,

I love GTB. I have never had an account with them but i love them none the less. Just the same way a lot of us love them, BLINDLY. I am not saying GTB isn't everything we all say it is but so are many of the other new generation banks like Access, First Bank, Zenith etc.
Politics / Stay At Home To Protest YarÁdua's Absence. Are You Not Tired Of The Fuel Queues? by otesy: 8:06am On Feb 02, 2010
I don't know about you but I am tired. I am tired of the fact that we have no power supply, I am tired of the fuel queues. Mind you we all run generators and we require this same fuel to run these generators. Not to mention the pollution as a result of having generators running constantly and the blaring noise. Support this cause so we can pick a start date. End date, when the government resigns,

Politics / Re: Where Is Nigeria's Jerry Rawling? by otesy: 6:08pm On Jan 08, 2010
The average Nigerian today sees nothing wrong with a lot of things which contribute to the present state of the nation. It's not all about government. We should play our part as well,

We acquire drivers license without insisting on driving test, we shunt queues at every given opportunity, we litter our surroundings without thinking twice. All these traits show that if we become leaders tomorrow, we will be no better than those we have today,
Politics / Re: Where Is Nigeria's Jerry Rawling? by otesy: 6:04pm On Jan 08, 2010
I agree that desperate situations require desperate measures. I am not quite sure though what those desperate measures should be but I strongly disagree that it should be a blood bath. Instead, rather than run away from the country because it's not the way it should be and thereby leaving it for those who rubbish it to continue to do so, maybe, we should consider staying back to contribute towards improving it in our own little way. Little drops of water make a mighty ocean. If we stand up and participate in politics rather than allow the hooligans rule and then complain about the way they rule, maybe we could make a difference. If we vote rather than allow the riggers fill up the lines with thieves and looters, maybe we could actually finally vote for someone we want. Staying at home and complaining about elections being rigged won't solve the problem. Not participating in leadership at all will not solve the problem. Bringing up our children to be upright citizens without compromise will definitely make the difference in the long run. The "siddon look" attitude or "if you can't beat them, join them" attitude is a major contributor to our problems,

I started this post over a year ago and the response has been overwhelming. Currently I work with a firm that implements SAP BestPractice and I have be part of two successful Best Practice implementations, one in Kaduna and the other in Port Harcourt. The experience has been really great. Nothing can rival it. I just love the challenge of seeing an implementation through right on time. It's been really hectic but I wouldn't trade it for anything, I have learnt a LOT in the past year, a lot!!!
