femi4:I hope you know as at 1992 children were already eating indomie. Till today I can watch a nollywood movie for 5 minutes before I go do something else abd I sure won't be the one who put it on. Mortal Inheritance and the Ti Oluwa ni Ile 1993 by Baba Wande way back are the only movies that I watched from beginning to end . |
AfonjaPriest:Name your neighbourhood. |
Wealthoptulent:Try to always think before you speak. This is my 18th year on nairaland. As at 2007 when this man started acting , i was already working my 3rd year in a bank as a university graduate. And this is coming from a guy whose family had a Movie theater in 1989 when VCR and Colored Televisions were just landing in Nigeria. |
Rapmoney:Apart from "Mortal Inheritance" in the early days of Nollywood, I don't sit down to watch Nigerian movies. It is too slow for me. I can always predict the next scene and the bad acting puts me off. So I unapologetically do not know him and many others like him. |
Desperate for attention...in street lingo she is a "Fuyetu". that is a feather weight. A " shaki"that is doing like " ora.". I no dey go another man land go follow dem drag anything. |
Never knew him..I still wonder why folks dey post this thing for social media though. Never felt the need to |
Very funny. Some things are better left unsaid. |
Na that lady wey talk sey make dem give am chance to resign in the similar setting if a plenary session wey them appoint am na him I pity. These guys have zero chills and will do anything for power. Guy prolly knows where all the skeletons in his people's cupboard are. Na wetin dem take turn the famous Lekki detective to gentle loyal boy. |
WriterNig:Best mindset. Office and home are two different places. |
Freshtruth:You need to learn how to think properly. I did not say anything on Eguavoen , so why bring him into a conversation about Poseiros competency as a coach. Eguavoen too is incompetent, if you want to know my opinion. Two things can be true at the same time. |
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Let him go start his own podcast |
This man na inner-inner caucus for their society. Na them dey do the meeting after the meeting for political settings. You can't do politics and still have a working conscience. Too many vested, divergent and contradictory interests will make you dead your conscience to survive or thrive. |
ufotunang:He did not take anything.... the team performed underwhemingly with the calibre of players we had. |
Freetech:Na so e suppose be. Every state suppose get their own Power generating and distribuition Authority. |
Freshtruth:Passion and Competence is not the same. Poseiro no sabi |
ChizzyBuna:Don't you think that someone that you have not spoken to in 18 years owes you nothing. If your relationship was good, 18 years will not go by without communicating with him. You are not entitled to even 10 cents that he works for. Stop disturbing him. Whenever he has he will give you. If he does not have or does not want to, then go to where you have been doing without him for 18 years. |
Diamond and gravel are both stones. It is the rarity of diamond that makes it expensive and cherished. The biggest problem with the Nations Cup is the frequency. A national competition that holds every two years is not as valuable as the one that is held every four years or three years. But CAF like money pass anything and will not budge on that. The value of the world cup is that it is held every four years...if it was held every two years, the loss will not be as painful and the victories will not be as thrilling. Club football is a different dynamic as it is players and fan base are not as homogeneous as national team football. A player kissing your badge today will easily go and kiss another rival team badge next season. |

When I say tribalism kills your brain cells you go dey argue. Any good student of basic high school history and government knows that Igbo traditional society was semi autonomous, acephalous and not monarchical. Yet you are trying to portray the impression that Igbo kings are upright characters, when in fact Igbos have never had kings. So if there are no kings , then there will be no kings to commit the disgraceful acts that we are seeing. But are there igbo men and women that commit despicable crimes? Of course yes...same as yorubas, hausas and every other tribe in Nigeria. The titled chiefs in Igbo communities do not have rulership over any domains and became chiefs because of their accomplishments. Igbo traditional society was led by age group associations and council of elders. It was a democratic society. Stop tribalism, it eats away at your ability to think like a normal human being |
I feel this story is a fiction |
Anyiamaka:I am a Yoruba man who grew up in Lagos with plenty of Igbo and hausa child hood friends. Sorry I don't do all that tribalism shenanigans. It is not good for any body's mental health. It is a very myopic way of thinking and viewing the world The fact remains that there are decent and morally bankrupt leaders and people from every tribe in Nigeria. |
Na wa. When traditional rulers who are expected to be paragons of virtue have turned to bullies and fraudsters and ritual killers....wetin remain again? In thus 2025 alone we have heard of Kings engaging in fraud and being imprisoned. We saw a King bullying an elderly men in public and callously recording it as some sort of leverage. Now this King's working format is romance scam.of vulnerable women. And we wonder why the country is the way it is. The followers are not different from their leaders. |
Nigeria is a scary place to live in. Most without proffessional security are like mere chickens that are being bred and can be snatched and killed at anytime. Once I dey Lagos I move very very different. Only daytime waka and once night reach, I enter house and never announce my movements to anyone. |
Catapault:Stop barking. Your comprehension skills are seriously lacking. Did I mention that what he said is not valid? Did I mention that I support proliferation of fake medication. I simply said Reno automatically reacts to everything just to be used and paid. In the fame of power, you cannot be reacting publicly to everything that happens in the public space or else you loose relevance. That is a statement of fact that is independent of whatever else happened. |
This omokiri guy is like dead fish in water that has no control but is carried wherever the current flows. Every day cho cho cho just to see something to chop. |
marsoden:You have a point. I may be wrong. The Binatone we had then was not like the one in the picture. It was slimmer and white. I remember this one was used a lot by students on campus then. If it came later, then you are still correct. This was 90's stuff...so memories are faint. One thing I know for sure though, DSTV was for the wealthy and there were no viewing centers then. |
VinnyBaba:Absolutely not true. The NADECO leaders of the resistance fled into exile. Radio Kudirat and Tempo newspaper/magazine became their voice of reaching nigerians Binatone rechargeable lamp/ radio similar to this one was widely popular then.
|
I witnessed it. I was in secondary school. There were riots and protests especially on lagos. Infact I think we were sent back home from the hostel. |
plumcomm:He likely paid the bail for them. Guy Don loose at least 40 million naira. Na wetun fit am be that |
brightleave:Lol. Needed him for those days. Once I did my initial moves, I discarded him. And I had a nice gift for him in my pocket if he tried nonsense. |
mariovito:You are right. |
Nowadays if person no be your childhood friend wey you know him inside and outside it's not wise to move with him. I remember one year when I visited lagos and the driver I hired during my visit was trying to set me up. He wanted me to go hangout in the night so I will get drunk and loose my gaurd and be easier to get. Not k owing all the slangs he was talking with someone on the phone was something I could easily decode. I discharge the guy after 3 days. |
Every state needs at least 5 Universities and 3 Polytechnics to cater for the number of students that are seeking admission every year. Lagos needs at least 7 or 8 with its population. |
