Education › Re: Post-JAMB Examinations in Nigerian Universities by otokx(m): 12:04pm On Oct 05, 2005
UNIPORT has just finished their own post Jamb examinations. The results are mind blowing. Just about 10% of the population candidates made 50% and above. A lot of high scoring candidates 270 - 280 could only gather 20% - 35% yet in an interview with Rivers State Television the candidates all agreed that the exam was not difficult. This only shows the high level of malpractice perpetuated during JAMB\WAEC\NECO examinations in Nigeria. This is actually another form of corruption. Many of the candidates could not even write a simple essay.

Christianity Etc › Re: To Tithe or Not to Tithe? by otokx(m): 11:49am On Oct 05, 2005
a lot of things in the bible can be argued out either way and its a pity tithe is one of those things. One thing i think we can all agree on is that paying of or refusal to pay tithes is not a pre requisite for having eternal life which is got only through Jesus Christ. I don't support the personal word of words between HND and DONNIE. Its degenerating to something very ugly.

a lot has been said. the bottom line is that there has to be a two way exchange in words and she should inform him of her perception before wielding the big stick in case he does not change.

@ Donnie, Abraham did not pay tithe. Abraham gave of the spoils of war 10% to the melchisedek and the remaining 90% to the young men who went to battle.

Politics › Re: Port Harcourt On Fire by otokx(m): 2:02pm On Sep 24, 2005
I reside in the federal university of port harcourt situated at choba which is on the outskirts of Port Harcout. Actually when coming from Yenagoa, Ughelli and Warri; Choba is the first part of Port Harcourt you will encounter. Last wednesday was indeed a day of grave mayhem as the asari boys took over the University Junction located on the east west road at about 3pm and unleashed destruction on any federal vehicle or private transporter in site. It took over 3 hours for men of the nigerian army situated in bori camp about 30 minutes drive away to reach the hot spot by which time the guys had left.
