[s]LIKE I SAID EARLIER, I LIVE IN BOTH PLACES, I STAY IN NIGERIAN AND GHANA AND I AM RESPONDING FROM GHANA.

THERE IS NO REASON TO COMPARE NIGERIA TO GHANA, I WILL LIKE A HONEST ANSWER TO THESE QUESTIONS BEFORE WE CONTINUE.

IS THERE ANY GHANAIAN COMPANIES EMPLOYING NIGERIANS IN NIGERIA?

MOST NIGERIAN BANKS ARE IN GHANA TODAY EMPLOYING GHANAIAN, NOT TO TALK ABOUT SILVER BIRD WHICH GENERATES SO MUCH MONEY IN GHANA TODAY.

WHICH GHANAIAN TRANSPORT COMPANY BRINGS PEOPLE FROM GHANA TO NIGERIA?

GHANAIAN WHO COULD NOT VISIT NIGERIA BY AIR CAN NOW VISIT NIGERIA, because OF OUR TRANSPORT COMPANIES, SUCH AS ABC, IFESINACHI TRANSPORT AND OTHERS, THEY ALSO EMPLOY GHANAIAN.

THOSE HOUSES U SEE THE GHANAIAN S BOAST OF ARE OWNED 90% BY FOREFINGERS, (NIGERIANS,AMERICANS, EUROPEANS, ASIANS)

I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST GHANAIAN S , SOME OF THEM ARE NICE PEOPLE AND I HAVE A LOT OF GHANAIAN FRIENDS BUT I AM JUST STATING THE FACTS.

95% OF MAJOR INVESTMENTS IN GHANA ARE OWNED BY FOREIGNERS, THEIR FAST FOODS EG FRANKIE'S, MR.BIGS , PAPAYE ALL OWNED BY FOREIGNERS. ALSO THE CLUBS.

THE FEAR OF GHANAIAN IS THAT NIGERIA WILL ONE DAY BUY THEIR WHOLE COUNTRY OVER, THAT IS WHY THE PREFER TO BE PAID LESS BY A WHITE MAN THAN MORE FROM A NIGERIAN. I ALSO UNDERSTAND IT, IF I WAS A GHANAIAN AND I NOTICE THAT THE BEST HOUSES IN MY COUNTRY ARE OWNED BY NIGERIANS, AND THE BEST CARS IN TOWN ARE OWNED BY NIGERIANS, I WONT BE HAPPY.

THE TRUTH IS THAT IF NIGERIANS WAKE UP ONE MORNING AND DECIDE TO LEAVE GHANA, THEY WILL BE SO BROKE THAT THEY WILL BECOME REFUGEES AGAIN.

GHANA HAS FEW UNIVERSITIES AND  ONLY ABOUT 20% OF THE PEOPLE CAN AFFORD THE UNIVERSITY, THE REST LEARN SKILLS TO SURVIVE. MOST NIGERIAN COMPANIES HAVE GROWN BEYOND NIGERIA AND ARE COVERING MOST COUNTRIES IN WEST AFRICA.

AS SMALL AS GHANA IS, I AM YET TO SEE A GHANA COMPANY THAT CAN COVER THE WHOLE GHANA , TALK LESS OF OTHER COUNTRIES IN AFRICA.

GHANA IS PEACEFUL BECAUSE THE POPULATION IS SMALL AND THEY HAVE NOT SEEN MONEY LIKE NIGERIANS, THERE ELECTRICITY IS MORE STEADY THAN THAT OF NIGERIA, FOR THE SAME REASON, THE POPULATION IS SMALL. THE AMOUNT OF ELECTRICITY NIGERIA CONSUMES IN A DAY CAN LAST GHANA FOR OVER 1 YEAR.

GHANAIAN COME TO NIGERIA TO LOOK FOR MONEY, NIGERIANS BRING MONEY INTO GHANA.

FINALLY: GHANAIAN ARE NICE PEOPLE, GHANA CANT BE COMPARED TO LAGOS, TALK LESS ABUJA.

MIPACHO, THIS IS THE TRUTH .[/s]

stop chatting crap! Nigerians are not docile. Everyone (including your mama) knows that. Nigerian are tough and it is these same tough people that make it to the top and run things; they take no prisoners! You think say this na case of one half caste johnny-just-join-military wey go come wipe people off?? In Nigeria they mark you closely and get rid of you even b4 u start thinking of making your move. You think say na shoot bird?!!
bold part, is tht not scary? huh huh huh

for the rest u juz blowing air, cuz reality ain' riding wit u on tht bruv( reality can be a naughty woman sometimes huh grin grin), come to Accra Central and see Nigerians selling kubey on on sacks, hell some even sit outside peoples shops a whole day and u wonder what is he doing here? na by force to run away from naija? grin grin grin,  wit your population size and the culture of mismanagement/corruption at the top? fear for the worst, we should all pray for West Africa, true talk
As someone who has been in Ghana for a couple of years now. Here is my take.

1. Compared to Nigeria, electricity is more reliable in Ghana. Though, these days, the frequency and duration of outage is on the rise. However, I do believe that like it happened with GSM, Nigeria will soon be a net supplier of electricity in West Africa.

2. Ghana is a safe place to live. I have been living in ghana for a couple of years now. Save for one burglary case (and some petty stealing) i have not had serious case of robbery. Though recently the Ghana Police (sic) killed some 4 or 5 armed robber in a shoot-out in my area (East Legon).A couple of hotbed in Northern Region and clashes in the south (Volta Region) does not equate to generally insecurity. The 7,000 refugee story is a exaggeration. The real number is about 3,500. See more info here, http://www.unhcr.org/4bffaf889.html

3. Road Networks. It is true that Lagos has more road network than Ghana. Prior to Fashola's magic, Ghana's road were cleaner and nicer, but these days, they are about the same for most place in terms in neatness, but with better bus-stops and plenty garden, Lagos might nip in future. And Ghana is trying hard to implement BRT system, having sent emissaries to study the success of Lagos BRT. However, Ghana need to do more on access road. Most of the access roads, and streets road are very bad (in Accra) a lot of them are not tarred. Abuja road network is much better than that of Lagos and Accra (or Ghana)

4. It is a lot easier to get admission into Universities in Ghana (they dont write JAMB) compare to Nigeria. As for what constitute a good educational system, I will need more education. For presently, many are of the opinion that most private Universities (Ghana or Nigeria) are better than their public counterpart (this again is debatable). However, frequency of strikes by varsity lecturers in Ghana pale in comparison to Nigeria. Now that's an (important) edge.

5. World class actress? Well, that depends on how many people agree (sometimes it does not depend on the individual artiste)

6. Manufacturing? Well, I actually expected Ghana to shine here with better power supply, but content seems to be the common denominator here, and propensity for foreign product may not help the matter. This propensity for foreign product also applies to Nigerian. Many Nigerian may brag about Zinox Computer, Omatek Computers, Innoson Motor, etc, but how many Nigerian can boast of owning any of these products?

7. True, the mismanagement of Ghana's wealthy compares relatively (GPD size, population, and resources) with that of Nigeria and indeed many African country. That is a sad commentary of many developing world.

8. The number of people pooing outside while a good indicator of poverty, and sanitary condition is exaggerated in case of Ghana. In Nigeria, people still poo outside too.  Certainly, if gold (ghana) and diamond (nigeria) can rust, what will be the fate of iron? No country in West Africa indeed deserves a thumps up. But, thankful, the very important one Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria are gradually inching forward (pessimist would of course disagree, that is the beauty of freedom).
THIS IS A TRUE NIGERIAN LIVING IN GHANA AND NOT THE LIAR PRETENDING TO BE A GHANAIAN IN THT ARTICLE, though not all he's written is agreed upon

I did not want to join this  thread until now.
you guys really have no basis comparing Nigeria with Ghana if you are true to yourselves.

2.The 24hrs electricity you guys brag about is by no means your power.I mean, the Nigeria gas company  supplies gas to your power plants almost free of charge at the detriment of its own people just because we are our brother's keeper and because our word is our bond. It may interst you to know that Ghana is owing Nigeria backlog of payment for gas and thats why your sorry A.S.S president waz here the other day begging for more time to pay.Ask your govt if in doubt.I just hate it when people talk before they check facts.Ask Togo,Benin we supply them electricity even though it is not enough for us.I ask myself, why do we do this things we do?simple. We just love to be our brother's keeper.

3.Stop yarning dust before i vex.enuff said.

@Macdaddy
This might be my last reposnd to this thread as I have other important things to do. But for your sake I will answer those.

1. I posted those pictures because some else posted pictures of somewhere in Nigeria and asked if there is anything like that in Ghana. So I was only replying him.

2. You clearly have no idea of what you are talking about with regards to electricity. Ghana depends heavily on hydro-electricity. Till now Ghana has two Hydroelectric dams  and is planning on building a third. These dams provide Ghana with about 90% of Ghana's electricity needs. Ghana also has some thermal plants in other parts of the country which fills in the 10% gap left.

Yes, Nigeria helped Ghana with electricity sometime three years ago when the water levels in the dams in Ghana were at low levels but I don’t think they were for free. For your information Ghana des not enjoy any gas from Nigeria. The gas used in fueling the thermal plants are bought from the internationally market, (This might include Nigeria, Libya etc.)
The West African Gas pipeline from Nigeria is yet to give a simple drop of Gas from Nigeria. Till now it isn't fully working yet. Just to let you know, Ghana has also been helping Nigeria with electricity lately.
tell these people oooo, their government be filling their head wit these lies and they juz follow them, because of the bragging nature a most Nigerians
lies lies lies, when will Nigerians stop?

I took investors into Ghana to harness opportunities based on what I heard from Ghanians and Some Nigerians about the developments in Ghana, only to endup getting laughed at for taking them into a big slum called Ghana. I should have taken them to Calabar instead of the slum called Accra. When I landed at their airport, I thought that I was in a remote local government. Sigh.
