ShyM-X:
My little off-the-dome freestyle expressing my love for smoking!!!! grin grin grin grin Stop Nigeria from banning smoking!!!! That's my most loyal girlfriend, yo!!!

Me and My Girlfriend(smoking)
Lost in the whirlwind, 2013, bonnie and clyde
Me and my gf making love, humping with the tide
Inhaling and exhaling with a glide
Journey to ionosphere with no ride
Feeling uplifted and not worried about this wicked world
She's my first love, the one I chirpsed without saying a word
Love at first sight, call it true connection
No pain, no gain but love with affection
When we made love the first time, you left me dazzled
I was 16, fresh faced, innocent looks and body chiseled
Almost a decade together, and I still love you with everything
'Cos you're loyal and have never left me wanting
So it's death before dishonour and loyalty above everything
And if I die tonight, just remember that you're my everything.
I love you, cancer sticks.

Nna, ur own case is critical!! You don lanko o..!! Lmao!! Reason's why d smoking should actually be banned, so u be revived to Sanity!

reading through your posts makes somethings blatantly clear....
1. You'e not as rich as you're putting yourself out to be
2. Your sense of logical reasoning is flawed.
3. Someone like you probably did not go to school and has spent the better part of his life 'sucking up'to the ones up there.
Students will always be student and the moral fibre of any community is built right from the youth.
An increase of 10naira if not properly communicated is worth protesting for......its a Federal Univ forcrying out loud. No one is against increasing transport fare (if need be) and the students have the right to protest(if they feel aggreived) but the big qustion should be - WHY SHOULD THE POLICE USE LIVE AMMUNITION AGAINST STUDENTS?
Thought you'd be asking such rational question instead of ranting on private universities and the value of #200.

Some got classes 3-times in a week or so....! In this Age (2013), ₦200 is too too too small to take/claim d lives of 3 students & destroy properties in the school cus of it's transport fares...! It's not as if it's a Levy imposed daily on the students, such as we see in Lekki toll! (As an Alumni, u're supposed 2 wave this poverty-mentality out sire) it's for their own transportation, if any1 felt it's too expensive, it's simple =TREK early to classes!! Why burn ur properties worth millions & billions of naira, injure urselves & resultant killings of 3 just for ₦200 It's totally WRONG!!

Curious_city:

This is what happens in a country with NO defined principles. If certain services are to be free then they must be free and accessible to all, if they are to be paid for then we are well informed. But here in naija, we are made to believe that the society owe us as students. This is because many who are not even at our academic level are having it free.
There is no good and reliable channel to address grievances aside protests. IMO, #200 shouldn't be much to warrant a protest if the issue is properly handled and not given to the students as a shock. They should have been informed of the changes before the beginning of the semester.
UniUyo is within the city, any demonstration is easily hijacked by "area boys", so the students should have tried other means of addressing this issue. Lots of questions begging for answers!!
But so sad that students lost their lives cry

Exactly wuht I'm saying!! ₦200 is too small to warrant the protest on d first instance!! 3 peeps dead just cus of ₦200 is somewhat crazy!!

Politics / Man Jailed 168 Years For N2.5 Million Fraud by OuchDaddy(m): 6:52pm On Jun 03, 2013
An Ikeja High Court in Lagos State today sentenced a
middle-aged man, Olaolu Salau, to an imprisonment of
168 years with hard labor for defrauding a Lagos-
based businessman, Solomon Ayoola, of N2.5 million.
Judge Adeniyi Onigbanjo gave the verdict following a
plea bargain between the convict and the Economic
and Crimes Commission (EFCC). Under the terms of
the bargain, Mr. Salau pleaded guilty to an amended
24-count charge.

In sentencing him, the judge ordered that the convict
serve seven years for each of the 24-counts at Kirikiri
Prisons, Lagos.

Justice Onigbanjo however ordered that the sentence
run concurrently starting from December 11, 2007,
the date Mr. Salau was arrested by the EFCC.
In addition to the jail sentence, the convict was also
ordered to pay restitution of N2.5 million to his victim.
The judge ruled that he must pay the cash within a
year of his release from prison.

The court also approved a plan by prosecutors to use
Mr. Salau as a prosecution witness against the
remaining defendants.

Mr. Salau was originally arraigned with four others on
allegations of conspiracy and defrauding Mr. Ayoola at
different times to the tune of N2.5 million. The alleged
fraudsters reportedly told Mr. Ayoola that they could
increase his money by invoking an invisible entity.
According to the charges, dated May 6 and filed on
May 7, 2013 by the EFCC, the convict was charged
with conspiring with four others with intent to defraud
the businessman of various sums between June and
November 2006. The offence contravened section 419
of advanced fee fraud and miscellaneous offences. Mr.
Ayoola had written a complaint to the EFCC in
September 2007.

Prosecutors disclosed that EFCC investigators
established that the fraudsters had obtained the sum
of N2.5 million between June and November 2006. The
findings led to a 24-count charge, one on conspiracy
and 23 others bordering on advanced fee fraud and
obtaining money by false pretence.

The case was originally handled by Justice Habeeb
Abiru. In the course of trial, Mr. Salau, who had been
in custody for seven years, wrote to the EFCC to
request a plea bargain.

The other three defendants, Akinsowon Olufemi,
Adebisi Adewale, and Muyiwa Ayeni have been
remanded in Kirikiri Prison until July 22 when their trial
is due to resume.

Politics / Boko Haram Claims Victory Over Nigerian Army In New Video by OuchDaddy(m): 8:47am On May 30, 2013
Premium Times -
NATIONAL, NEWS

The Boko Haram gave its first reaction to the emergency
rule declaration.
Despite the declaration of a State of Emergency in Borno,
Yobe, and Adamawa States, the insurgent Boko Haram
claim they are winning the war against government forces.

This was stated by Abubakar Shekau, the Boko Haram
leader in a video which is the group’s first since the
emergency declaration.

President Goodluck Jonathan made the emergency
declaration about a fortnight ago which has led to
increased troops presence in the three states in order to
dislodge the insurgents and ensure peace in the area.
The Nigerian military has said several times that it is
achieving success against the insurgents and has killed
some, arrested scores of insurgents, dislodged several of
their camps, and freed kidnapped victims.

However, in the video made available to PREMIUM TIMES
on Wednesday, Abubakar Shekau, the Boko Haram leader,
said the group is actually winning the war against the
soldiers.

Mr. Shekau displayed identity cards of soldiers he claimed
his group had killed in their operations. He also displayed
a destroyed armoured tank he claimed his men bombed.

The Boko Haram leader said that this battle is not just
against whom his group is battling in the bushes, but
against all government officials. He said that any public
servant, from a primary school teacher to the highest
public servant, police officer, soldier, irrespective of
religion is their enemy.

None of the claims of the insurgents, or indeed the army,
can be independently verified as the battle by the Nigerian
military against the insurgents intensifies.
Seeks support

The group in a rare solidarity cry also sought help from
foreign Islamic militants.
Mr. Shekau sought help from militants “who are fighting for
Islam in countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen,
Syria and those we can’t mention.”

“We are here fighting those who believe in the constitution
and western education.
You should all know that we are all
in good health,” he said.

Politics / BREAKING: Brain-injured Governor Suntai To Be Replaced by OuchDaddy(m): 12:18am On May 28, 2013
Two top level political sources in Taraba State
have told SaharaReporters that the days of
Danbaba Suntai as governor of the state may be
numbered. “Alhaji Danbaba Suntai will be
replaced soon,” said one of the sources.
As a first step towards Mr. Suntai’s removal, the
national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) today inaugurated a committee to determine
the status of his office.

Mr. Suntai was seriously injured in October, 2012
when a small plane he was piloting from Jalingo
crashed near the airport in Yola, the capital of
Adamawa. The governor was trying to land the
aircraft at the time of the accident.

Speaking to members of the seven-man committee in
Abuja on Monday, the PDP’s national chairman,
Bamanga Tukur, said the party decided to intervene
in order to resolve the political situation created by
Mr. Suntai’s accident. One of the tasks given to the
committee was to discover and report the political
repercussions among key stakeholders of the
governor’s sickness and absence.

“Interact and establish the most effective approach to
reduce to the barest minimum, the fears of all the
contending interest in Taraba State,” Mr. Tukur told
the committee members.

The PDP chairman added: “Fast track the process of
constitutional adherence as it affects the current
status of the office of the governor of Taraba State.

“Ensure that in all practical implications, the PDP
Taraba emerge stronger and more united in
responding to all the partisan challenges arising
thereafter in the state.

“Consider and report any other matter that is, in the
opinion of this committee, relevant in the resolution of
the political condition of the state.”
Members of the committee are Hope Uzodinma,
Ahmed Gulak, Shittu Mohammed, Bala Buhari, Richard
King, Bolajoko Doherty, and Abubakar Garda, who is
serving as secretary.
Following the plane crash, Mr. Suntai was briefly
treated at the National Hospital, Abuja before being
flown to Germany for continued urgent treatment.
Despite efforts by PDP officials to paint a rosy picture
of Mr. Suntai’s recovery, SaharaReporters revealed
that the governor had suffered significant brain
damage that rendered him incapable of recognizing
visitors, including members of his family.

“Some of us told the leadership of our great party in
Abuja that we cannot go on telling ourselves lies
about the condition of Alhaji Suntai,” said one of our
sources. “They now realized that what we’re saying is
true. That’s why the committee has been set up,” he
added.

Mr. Suntai was moved to the US and is being treated
at undisclosed hospital in the East Coast. A source
said the governor’s brain impairment remains a
serious issue.
Mr. Tukur asked the committee to submit its report
within two weeks.

Culture / The 12 Top Reasons Why Igbos And Yorubas Should Not Marry by OuchDaddy(m): 11:24pm On May 27, 2013
Whether you are aware of it or not, many inter-tribal
relationships have died an untimely death because of
the tribal differences between the couple. Parents,
elders, and friends have rained down fire and brimstone
to see to it that this sacrilegious union does not get to
the altar. The strong couples come out of it beaten,
bruised, but alive nonetheless. The weaker ones — well,
they inspire me to write this.

The most popular union seems to be the one between
the Igbos and the Yorubas. With this in mind, I have
compiled a list, specially for everyone who is currently
in such a relationship. If you have been pressured into
breaking up because of tribal differences and you have
no idea why you should – or if you sh ould, then I am
here to help you make that decision. Please read,
digest, and understand the lists below.

Reasons Igbos Should NOT Marry Yorubas:
1. They’re dirty.
2. All they know how to do is party.
3. They eat too much oil.
4. Their women flirt/sleep around too much.
5. Their men will ALWAYS cheat with a Yoruba woman.
6. They are loud and obnoxious. You can hear them
from a mile away.
7. They are wild. They are the real “Akata” people.
8. They are Nigeria’s problem.
9. They don’t understand the Igbo culture.
10. They do too much juju.
11. They betrayed the Igbos during the Biafran war.
12. And to top the list, they are not Igbo.

Reasons Yorubas Should NOT Marry Igbos:

1. They’re rude; they have no respect.
2. All they know how to do is chase money.
3. Their pounded yam is as hard as stone.
4. They don’t put enough oil and spice in their food.
5. Their in-laws are wicked! The husband’s family will
always maltreat the woman.
6. They cannot speak Yoruba, and even if they can, they
do not know our culture.
7. They will sell their brother for money.
8. They won’t let us play our fuji music at home.
9. They’re Nigeria’s problem. They keep trying to divide
us.
10. When their women die, their bodies have to be
returned to Igbo Land to be buried.
11. They eat human beings.
12. And the mother of all crimes, they are not Yoruba.

Politics / Apologise To North Or Face Our Wrath – Arewa Youths Warn Asari Dokubo by OuchDaddy(m): 5:18pm On May 21, 2013
As the comments credited to the
leader of the Niger Delta People’s
Volunteer Force, NDPVF, Alhaji
Mujaheed Asari-Dokubo on the 2015
presidential ambition of President
Goodluck Jonathan continues to
generate various opinions, youth
from the northern part of the country
have warned the former militant to
apologise or face the anger of the
region.
Apparently angered by the
‘derogatory’ comment, the youth
under the aegis of Amintacciyar
Arewa Youth Movement, AAYM,
vowed to deal with Asari-Dokubo if he
fails to apologise over the several
statements credited to him, which
they tagged as ‘derogatory and
embarrassing to the north.
“We are calling on Asari- Dokubo to
withdraw and apologise to Nigerians
for his lousy utterances against the
north, because this is a slap on the
Niger-Delta people who have mutual
understanding with the northern
people and the north will continue to
stay in harmony with non-indigenes
of the Niger-Delta,” the group said.
The group in a communiqué signed
by its Chairman and Secretary-
General, Jamilu Karama and Aminu
Mataima respectively, also accused
President Goodluck Jonathan of
deliberately marginalizing the north
in terms of political appointments,
employment and developmental
projects.
“We observed that the
north has been
marginalised and developmental
projects meant for the north has
been abandoned by this
administration as the north is not
having her share of employment
based on the federal character.
“Therefore, we are calling on
President Goodluck Jonathan to
ensure sanity and end the conflict
that has been ravaging and crippling
the northern states within the
shortest possible time,” said the
group.
They called on all leaders of thought
from the region to rally round Vice-

`LAY DOWN YOUR WEAPONS’
Hinting that the option of dialogue was still open to the
Boko Haram insurgents, President Jonathan asked them,
yesterday, to surrender.
“Those (insurgents) who are willing to dialogue and lay
down their weapons can approach the National
Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution on the
Security Challenges in Northern Nigeria. The work of
that Committee remains significant and relevant, and it
is bound to be impactful”, the president, who spoke
through his Special Adviser on Public Affairs, Mr Reuben
Abati, in an interview with Sunday Vanguard, said.
He declared that “there can be no illusion of simplicity
where the fight against terrorism is involved.”
Jonathan noted that “terrorists strike at will with deadly
cruelty”, adding, “The overriding consideration (in
imposing emergency rule) is the peace, security and
stability of Nigeria. While the option of dialogue and
peaceful resolution is being pursued, government will
also not condone impunity of any sort, or the obvious
attempt by terrorists to create and run an enclave
within the Nigerian state.
“If anyone is in doubt, the Commander in Chief of
Nigeria’s Armed Forces has made it clear: this
government will not tolerate any attempt to violate the
sovereignty of Nigeria. Those who are willing to
dialogue and lay down their weapons can approach the
National Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful
Resolution on the Security Challenges in Northern
Nigeria. The work of that Committee remains significant
and relevant, and it is bound to be impactful.”
