60 amp charger per battery. That works out to 480 amp charging current. Ideally the charging current should not be more than 40% of the amp-hour magnitude of your battery bank. You don't want those expensive batteries being destroyed before their time.

Besides, assuming that your solar panels produce the standard 18volts, your're quite far from that 60 amp figure anyway, but just in case you want to upgrade by adding more panels, 60 amp charger should do just fine.

Yes but mppt is much better, charges faster and lasts longer but more expensive.

If you can afford it I will advice you go for mppt.
You won't regret it.

I think Tubular should have slightly better DOD than dey cell batteries (minus lithium ion batteries of course).

Dey cells are mostly 50% DOD while Tubular can comfortably hit 70% DOD.

Lithium ion batteries like are on the next level tho.

thanks a lot for your response, I heard the maintenance is done once in 6 months and it involves refilling it with distill water, the maintenance shouldn’t be a problem for me as far it gives me good value for money, but if your preference wasn’t based on the continua maintenance associated with tubular batteries then I’ll go with the Monbat.

Yeah, if you don't mind the maintenance you can go with tubular batteries.
Tubular is not that expensive for a start.

Monbat is better than Quanta but more expensive.
I did thorough research before purchasing it.
Most atm points use monbat.

Tubular battery is not maintenance free so it is entirely different from the above 2.

I will advice you to go for monbat if you can afford it but make sure you are buying brand new battery. That's what I did.

As for Tubular, I heard it's OK too but you should bear in mind the periodic change of the fluid.

I have a friend complaining bitterly on how his batteries no longer last. I told him about the periodical maintenance which according to him was not told by the seller.

And yes, dry cell batteries are maintenance free.

Please note that if you go for Tubular batteries, you will be changing the acid periodically. Tubular batteries are not maintenance free.

As per experience, the best inverter batteries that I know of is Monbat, followed by Quanta.

If you are lucky enough to get new Monbat, you are good to go.
The downside is the cost. Monbat is an European product so don't expect it to be cheap.
