part of the demands from the northern oligarchy from Buhari is to restore the armed forces to the pre 1999 status before Obasanjo retired a lot of them by virtue of them having held political positions and then tried to balance things up by creating additional division in the south.
i remember when one northern politician said then that it will take the north up to 100 years before they can attain the same status prior to 1999 but now it seems they don't want to wait for the 100 years.
you recruit more northerners into the army yet more southerners are being killed.how in the world do you explain this ?

i just returned from Owaza,an oil producing community in Abia state and i can tell you that almost all the soldiers guarding the shell flow stations,gas plants and oil wells are are from the north and i am sure it is the same all over the Niger delta region.
