Today is the finale of the Nigeria unscripted television show “Big Brother Naija” the season 5 #Lockdown

Big Brother Naija, some time ago known as Big Brother Nigeria, is a Nigerian reality rivalry TV arrangement, in view of the Big Brother TV establishment, in which 12 to 21 competitors live in a detached house and seek an enormous money prize.

The fifth period of Big Brother Naija debuted on 19 July 2020 with 20 housemates and will most recent 71 days. Also, the fortunate champ will be returning home with 85 million naira.

Nigerian singer, Wizkid, was at the capital city of Kwara state, Ilorin, on Christmas day to perform for his fans and things took a really interesting turn and Nigerians are having a field day about it on social media.

The singer thrilled his fans with some of his hit tracks and they sang along. However, one excited fan climbed the stage to give his hero a hug and before bodyguards could throw him away, Wizkid was heard saying ‘file, je ko hug mi, ofe ni hug’ meaning ‘leave him, let him hug me, a hug is free.’

Things went south after that moment. It appeared many fans took a cue from Wizkid’s statement to also jump on the stage to give the one and only Star Boy their own hug.

The bodyguards rose into action and started throwing people off the stage like bags of rice and even added bits of slaps to spice things up.

Then sometime during the show, perhaps as the night advanced, Wizkid was spotted sitting on a plastic chair, obviously exhausted.

The singer also posted a photo of his Nike sneakers in a very sorry state after what must have been an unforgettable night.

Ruiz Jr vs Joshua 2: Andy Ruiz wants to face Anthony Joshua a third time after losing rematch

Andy Ruiz Jr called for a trilogy fight with Anthony Joshua after losing their rematch in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

Ruiz shocked the world on June 1 when he dropped and stopped Joshua in seven rounds in New York but the Mexican-American handed back the IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight world titles in a unanimous decision when they met for a second time in the Diriyah Arena.

"I was chasing him too much. Who wants to see the trilogy fight?" Ruiz Jr said on Sky Sports afterwards.

"It was his night. I didn't prepare how I should have, I gained too much weight.

"I don't want to give too many excuses, he boxed me around. If we do the third, best believe I get in the best shape of my life.

"[The weight] affected me. I thought I'd feel stronger, thought I'd feel better. I tried to train myself, but I don't want to give no excuses. Anthony Joshua did a hell of a job.

Some irate Nigerians on Friday attacked the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, in Spain.

He was attacked at an event on climate change held in Madrid, Spain.

A source close to the former Rivers State Governor told one of our correspondents that Amaechi’s attackers were members of the Indigenous People of Biafra based in Spain.

The minister disclosed the development himself on his Twitter handle, @ChibuikeAmaechi. But he did not state that his attackers were IPOB members nor disclose who they were.

Amaechi however said Spanish policemen succeeded in stopping his attackers before they could hurt him.

The minister wrote, “Some minutes ago, I was attacked by a few misguided Nigerians while on national assignment at a climate change event in Madrid, Spain.

“They were quickly repelled by the Spanish police before they could do any harm.

“I am fine. I was not hurt. Thanks for your support and prayers.”

Amaechi’s tweet was greeted with mixed reactions from his followers, as some sympathised with him, while others criticised the minister.

Sanmi John, said, “We didn’t support, neither are we praying for you. This is the pitiable condition you and your party have turned this country to. We shall overcome!”

Bankole Abe asked, “What are you doing in a climate change event? Are you the Minister of Environment? Abeg pack well (sic).”

But Peterclaver said, “Are they angry that he is developing the railway service in the country? Will that not impact on the poor masses when completed?”

Also, Promise Israel, said, “As long as Nigeria is being ruled like a place without the rule of law, this will continue to happen.”

The immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Enweremadu, in August confirmed a similar assault on him by some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra in Nuremberg, Germany.

Opeyemi, wife of pro-democracy activist and Publisher of SaharaReporters, a pioneering online news platform – Omoyele Sowore – has said that she and their children cannot wait to have the 48-year-old back home.

Since August 3, 2019 when the outspoken social crusader was arrested in Lagos by the Department of State Services for calling on Nigerians to take to the streets in peaceful demonstrations to demand a better country from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, life had not been the same for the quick-smiling mother of two and all those around her.

From partaking in walks and events turning global attention to the illegal detention of Sowore in the facility of the DSS at the time to appearing at revered television programmes demanding justice on his matter, Opeyemi indeed went the mile in telling the world, who the man she was married to truly was.

But against widespread expectations, things took a different twist on Thursday.

Hours after Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the DSS to release him within 24 hours after twice meeting his bail conditions, the secret police and their collaborators in high places budged – Sowore walked out of the dreaded facility a free, liberated man.

Though his trial in the case brought against him by the Nigerian Government commences on December 6 (Friday), his release on bail marks an entirely new journey in his bid for complete freedom.

Reacting to the development on Thursday, Opeyemi said that despite the delay in the release of her husband after two court orders to that effect, they look forward to his safe return home.

She said, “After 125 days of his illegal detention, my husband was released on bail for conditions he met weeks ago.

“While I am grateful for his long overdue release, I remain concerned for his safety and resolute on him being cleared on all charges.

“I look forward to his safe return home to our family in New Jersey.”

Described in some quarters as one of Nigeria’s genuine last remaining advocate of the masses, Sowore over the years has faced all sorts of hostile treatments from the government for choosing to stand by the people.

An advocate of equity and justice, those around him say he conquered fear and banished intimidation away from his domain long before now.

Celebrated globally for exposing Nigeria’s corrupt and ruthless politicians, Sowore will beginning from December 6, 2019 (Friday) defend himself in a case brought against him by the government.

He is being accused of insulting President Muhammadu Buhari and attempting to bring down his regime – charges experts and observers around the world have described as baseless and laughable.

Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie has received backlashes from Titans following her recent post about their Queen being an ‘ungrateful personality’.

Drama started when the actress took to Instagram to accuse Tacha of not giving her special recognition after supporting her during her stay in Big Brother’s house.

Recall that the reality star recently took to her Instagram page to announce that she has signed an endorsement deal with Royal Hairs.

Watching porn erodes an important region of the brain, rewiring it into a juvenile state, a researcher warns.

Rachel Anne Barr, a neuroscience PhD student and researcher at Canada's Université Laval, says studies show people who regularly watch adult entertainment often develop damage to the prefrontal cortex, the brain region that controls morality, willpower and impulse control.

That brain region is, crucially, one that does not fully develop until adulthood.

Barr warns the research suggests porn could cause users to struggle with their emotions and impulses, possibly leading to compulsive behavior and poor decisions.

'It's somewhat paradoxical that adult entertainment may revert our brain wiring to a more juvenile state,' Barr wrote in an article about her research for The Conversation.

'The much greater irony is that while porn promises to satisfy and provide sexual gratification, it delivers the opposite.'

Kinks, fetishes, and pornographic imagery have always existed.

But with the internet, live-action porn became available on demand. And the demand is insatiable, with 33.5 billion hits on Pornhub, the biggest free porn site, in 2018.

The thirst for increasingly vivid sex scenes within seconds is so strong that it has, in fact, been a major driver behind technological advances.

'The porn industry has blazed a commercial path that other industries are hastening to follow,' says Frederick Lane, author of Obscene Profits: The Entrepreneurs of Pornography in the Cyber Age.

It is an unprecedented commercial success, tapping into something universal and carnal.

But, Barr warns: 'Science is only just beginning to reveal the neurological repercussions of porn consumption.'

'It is already clear that the mental health and sex lives of its widespread audience are suffering catastrophic effects,' Barr says.

'From depression to erectile dysfunction, porn appears to be hijacking our neural wiring with dire consequences.'

Nollywood actress, Susan Peters has vowed to stand naked in front of Government house if they do not return her new car to her.

According to Susan, her driver violated a traffic offence while going for an errand with the car, and the car was arrested alongside some other cars by CSO Leke Smith.

They were asked to pay a fine before their cars can be returned to them. She headed for the office to pay the fine only to find out that her own car has been transferred to Government house, while other cars were released to their respective owners. She began to question if their reason for transferring hers to the government house is because it’s still new.

She further stated that the CSO, Leke is using the name of the Governor to carry out wicked acts and she would make sure that they do not succeed with her.
