4. And God said - Let the computers be, so there would be a place
to put floppy disks and hard disks and compact disks.
Thus God created computers and called them hardware.

5. And there was no Software yet. But God created programs; small
and big... And told them - Go and multiply yourselves and fill
all the Memory.

6. And God said -I will create the Programmer; And the Programmer
will make new programs and govern over the computers and
programs and Data.

7. And God created the Programmer; and put him at Data Center;
And God showed the Programmer the Catalog Tree and said
You can use all the volumes and subvolumes but DO NOT USE
Windows.

8. And God said - It is not Good for the programmer to be alone.
He took a bone from the Programmer's body and created a
creature that would look up at the Programmer; and admire
the Programmer; and love the things the Programmer does;
And God called the creature: the User.

9. And the Programmer and the User were left under the naked DOS
and it was Good.

10. But Bill was smarter than all the other creatures of God.
And Bill said to the User - Did God really tell you not to
run any programs ?

11. And the User answered - God told us that we can use every
program and every piece of Data but told us not to run Windows
or we will die.

12. And Bill said to the User - How can you talk about something
you did not even try. The moment you run Windows you will
become equal to God. You will be able to create anything you
like by a simple click of your mouse.

13. And the User saw that the fruits of the Windows were nicer and
easier to use. And the User saw that any knowledge was useless
- since Windows could replace it.

14. So the User installed the Windows on his computer; and said to
the Programmers that it was good.

15. And the Programmer immediately started to look for new drivers.
And God asked him - What are you looking for? And the
Programmer answered - I am looking for new drivers because I
can not find them in the DOS. And God said - Who told you need
drivers? Did you run Windows?
And the Programmer said - It was Bill who told us to !

16. And God said to Bill - Because of what you did you will be hated
by all the creatures. And the User will always be unhappy with you.
And you will always sell Windows.

17. And God said to the User - Because of what you did, the Windows
will disappoint you and eat up all your Resources; and you will
have to use lousy programs; and you will always rely on the
Programmers help.

18. And God said to the Programmer - Because you listened to the
User you will never be happy. All your programs will have errors
and you will have to fix them and fix them to the end of time.

19. And God threw them out of the Data Center and locked the door
and secured it with a password.

This is to provide members of programming section on nairaland an opportunity to showcase their works in this case android apps. This is not for comparison purpose or to spite anyone, just a thread where android developers can exhibit their apps and members, guests, fellow app developers and potential client can access, admire, constructively criticize and know how to contact you for your services now or later

However some rules apply for organizational purposes

*Post just ONE of your many android apps per post
*A maximum of four(4) attachments only, showing the screenshot of the app
*State your contact details, very short description of app and link to the app for download
*Only genuine works of the developer should be submitted, for any forgery or false claims, a moderator will be contacted and the affected post deleted

explain why anyone in their sane minds will boot windows(10!!) on their mac.
and oga boss sir, compiling on windows isnt in anyway slower that it is on unix systems...what are you even saying sef? haha!

its like explaining why anyone will install unix on windows.You write codes with software, and these softwares may only run on specific OSes, virtual machines can be slow so its only WISE to have choices on a laptop, its also a shame that you don't know sane minds install windows on their macs, I call it flexibility.

let me explain something to you, don't know if it will make sense;
Linux filesystem itself is more efficient at handling all those index files than Windows's NTFS? ext3 and ext4 is blinkingly fast, mainly because of its buffering scheme; but the core reason of this speed is that Linux is an *nix operating system, and Unix was, and still is, since the very start, build around, and integrated with a compiler, and an Unix-like OS and filesystem gives their best in, well, compiling.

if that didn't make sense, abeg I haf tried don't quote me again and stay glued to your opinion its not compulsory you accept mine

^^ when you design apps, you use software and they have what is called "minimum requirements" eg try compiling an android app on a 2gb pc (takes years for a complex android app with lots of libs) or a 1gb pc (good luck with that) no matter how structred your code is. Android Studio is available on both platforms, the only thing that matters here is the speed/capacity of the laptop in question because Android Studio is quite heavy and requires a large amount of processing power, this is just an example.

^^ ok if you feel windows 10 is that cool......a mac user will just install it using bootcamp but u can never get the mac experience on a PC...... NEVER (hackintosh is total rubbish)

And for those saying you only need a brain for programming well you also need tools too its very very important......your brain only solves the problem but what about implementation?....how will a serious programmer wait for hours just to compile a code (windows pc with 2gb ram) while keeping the client waiting cuz you are waiting. .......fairly used laptops are risky as they can misbehave at anytime., you may not be lucky as you watch all your hours of hard work churning out code die with the failing disk.

^^ you can install windows on mac using bootcamp.....infact you can install all OS on a mac

well if you are a smart appreneur (mobile applications entrepreneur), the languages to learn are klotin, java, swift and objective-C FINISH.......the smart ones will understand while the not too smart ones will argue

buy a macbook pro they will not hear

5. A brilliant flyer design can do wonders to help promote an event or product and get people excited about it. Get a good graphics designer and pass your message in a fun innovative way

6. Get a mobile app, almost everyone has an android device

you saw the pictures on fb......is that all?.......who is this professional? .....on what page or profile did you see it?.......what's his website? ......so many unanswered questions. ....I need more info on this photo manipulation wizard

truth is google is an advertising company, everything they do is done to get more info about you so as to show you relevant ads

people advising other people to buy domain name yet they themselves are still using .com for their tech blog......NA WA for those people oooo.......cant find a better definition of hypocrisy

learn java, then you can create native android apps, desktop apps (windows, mac, linux) and get the Oracle's Java Programmer certification........also learnibg java makes it easy to learn other oop languages

if you dont have at least an android app for your blog .....my young friend sit down , cuz you still upcoming

Truth is most of all these Nigerian entrepreneurs are not interested.

I even ran a promo for a blog app with material design ui, animations, supporting android 2.3 and above, with admob, comments posting, and a 1 yr free update for a cheap price of 100k and niggaz still called to beat down the promo price......NA WA OOOO

If they don't invest in a mobile app how will their blogging business grow.....I knew about naij through their app

10. A genuine developer isn't CHEAP

the young developer asked for thoughts on the app, some people are telling him how to name his creation. ......10 yrs ago the name "whatsapp" didn't make sense, also what does a fruit "apple" have to do with computers

yet these companies whatsapp and apple have created a name for themselves
