In every society there must be law, rights, rules & regulations in order 2 create social stability. When there is on law or respect 4 d law, d result is social instability, mogadishu, ganjaweed, & genocide. It is disregard 4 d law that made some fulani nomads 2 slaughter people like chickens in jos & that is what d fanatic clerics are telling muslims 2 do. No matter what religion, quaran, or any holy book says, what is wrong is wrong. If it is wrong to eat unripe fruits coz they may be toxic & create health hazard, if wrongly utilising business capital/skewed business objective can kill a company leading 2 loss of jobs & its attendant trauma, then child marriage can do a lot 2 d society as well. @ Kobojunkie- i think d reason why yar adua was playing saint is because he knows his time is near. @ 9jafreak- education can't change those savage barbaric fanatics. If a highly educated mutallab can try 2 blow a plane with bomb in his pants, educating those fanatics would make them 10 times worse than bin laden who was a CIA agent. D only solution is 2 tie them up & throw them into space so they can talk garbage 2 d moon, jupiter & saturn coz i don't buy d idea of killing people coz of what they believe.

I'm not defending d docs but I don't share d view of those sayin that d docs deliberately discharged d baby wit infected wound & also tried 2 hide it from d mother. Accordin 2 dr adewale, there was accidental scarpel injury & it was instantly satured by d consultant obestrician. Treatment started wit antibiotic injection, multivitamins & analgesics. Scarpel injury is a complication of C-section worldwide. D mother on d other hand showed d universal human weakness of waitin till things get worse b4 acting & blamin d consequences on others. She must hav known @ d injury even if they didn't tell her when bathing, dressing & breastfeeding d baby. When u buy a good somewhere & it develops fault, u don't take it 2 another place 4 servicing. U take it 2 where u bought it 4 rectification or replacement. D docs @ Apapa knew what happened & are in better position 2 correct it. Rather than go back there, d mother choose 2 waste 3 weeks at other hospitals. Even if her reason 4 going 2 other hospitals is that d docs @ Apapa are incompetent, she should still have gone back there & they would refer her 2 docs they know can handle d situation. The baby was born @ Apapa, d injury occured there & treatment began there. Rather than continue there, d mother opted 2 burn over 3 weeks at other hospitals & now turn around 2 blame Apapa docs for her myopia when things got bad. I repeat again that i'm not defending d docs but i'm 100% sure that even those blaming d docs wouldn't take that kind of rubbish if they were in d docs shoes. I'm still wondering why goodluck choosed sambo 4 vp. Politics is all about popularity, intelligence, diplomacy, and ability 2 initiate programs that will mak life better 4 d people. We don't know much about sambo, we don't know their plans or what they intend to do to make nigeria better in 2011. Those insisting on jonathan/sambo 4 2011 don't know anythin about politics. In countries where politics is well defined and practiced, those contesting hav blueprint of what they intend to acheive if they are elected 2 serve. But here in nigeria, people just support politicians based on where they come from or simply because they are too dull to think about how their lives can be improved. Until we begin 2 harass our politicians 4 their plans for us and how they intend to realize them, we'll never go up in the world order.

I just wonder which would be better- for the parents of the hapless kid to send him to heaven and save him of being bought up incapacitated for life and save themselves the trauma and agony of bringing up a useless slowpoke or let him live and sweat it out through thick and thin for as long as he lives
