You are indirectly now asking for the other 35 states to help Delta State out. Given that almost all crude/gas activities has been grounded in Delta State, which is the reason why all the 3 power plants there are currently down, the only way to get power to anywhere in Delta State will be from the National grid. That power would need to be produced from OUTSIDE Delta State.

So you see, isolating oneself is not always necessarily a good thing. The same way other power producers will come to the aid of Delta State today, is why Delta State had been helping to generate funds for the nation since. It's a symbiotic relationship.
If I hear.... Okpai... Agip host community in Ndokwa East produces oil, gas and hosts a power plant, yet the community is in darkness with no motorable roads.... D power generated in okpa is stepped down in Obosi.... Anambra state....

Does that make sense to you?

Even if it is 1mw out of 150mw, give to the community that produces and hosts the facilities ....

The marginal field operators in that axis are currently building pipeline over communities that BEDC Has refused to supply light for over 3 years now.

We are not saying we don't want to share oil revenue or power with other states in Nigeria ... What we are saying is... If you want to take, take whatever you want and leave something for the community that produces it.....

After taking wat they want they wil still destroy existing infrastructure on top with their heavy vehicles ... Its not fair.

It makes no sense using resources produced by 8-10 states to spoon feed 26 other states. angry

Delta state has 3 power plants but yet no light in Asaba ...

It doesn't make sense to continue suffering and sweating to power, oil and gas and receive peanuts or nothing....

while other states who don't even know what gas flaring is like or how farm lands are rendered worthless is pipelines are laid in it.... Are receiving free monthly allocation without breaking a sweat.

Until fiscal federalism or regionalism... Dey should bomb everything to 0.0 barrels per day.

I was in asaba last wk... Na inside glo base Station I dey charge.

But seriously, it is not the duty of yhe state govt to repair anything .... It is the duty of the disco BEDC

It bothers me that people still buy into this completely false idea that religion is the maintainer of human ethics & morality. Perhaps in the 2nd century when it was the best civilization had in terms of law. But not in the 21st century.
You're right to some extents.

But the truth is.... Man can never do away with religion .. because .. man is "programmed " to "believe "

If he doesn't believe in the spiritual, he surely believes in others things or even believe in himself. .. or believe in chains and ornaments. ...

If a dying father gives his son a necklace and tells d son the necklace will "protect " him... And the son holds tentatively to the necklace after his father's death ... Is that not religion?

Or will u say chinese, Russians or Americans don't believe in ornaments?

The folks claim to be atheist outside ... But inside them... You know what's up.

Religion is not about belief in spiritual things alone

Most atheist would say religion is used to control people negatively but they don't reason what the world would be like if all the people on earth are to be free thinkers. "unbelievably terrible" is the word to describe that situation almost half way, so why all the disproving?
That is why religion "is there ". smiley

If there were no religion, believe me, everybody would be dwad by now.

Religion is meant to curb and check the excess of man... When employed d right way, it creates orderly societies .... And it can wipe out societies too if misused.

So religion itself is not bad. Its how people apply it.

Kudos sir

I really suspect you are just trying to deliver us some humor.
Not really smiley

Remember people thought flying was impossible before the Wright Brothers proved them wrong.

I was actually trying to get OP expand his brain a bit and think outside rigid norms.

Most of the things we term "impossible " are actually possible if we can expand our brains a little bit more.

The OP also took the Bible words literally ... That is wrong. Before, people thought the earth was flat. If you told them the world is as round as a ball, they won't believe u.

If I tell the op that there are birds that can dive deep into waters and fly out again into the air with fish in its mouth, he won't believe me...

He would say say once a bird goes under water, it'll drown... But he's wrong. Cape gannets, cormorants and pelicans can do all that with ease.

If birds can dive under water, swim around to catch fis and fly into the air again .... Now consider the time frame between noah time and today... It is NOT IMPOSSIBL that dragons once existed. ....

Historical records from china to europe claimed dragons existed in their time.... Fossils of even dinosaurs are there... If you believe dinosaurs existed but don't believe dragons existed too, hmmm... No wahala.

My point is... To the people at the time OP is referring to.. Abraham - Moses period, there was only one "continent"... Before Christopher Columbus formally discovered America, Europeans didn't know America existed.... At the time of Aristotle, people believed the sun cris crossed the sky everyday ....

At the time of Julius Caesar, there were "only three continents... Africa, Asia and Europe, ... That's all grin

So if we travel back in time... To the time of Moses... Not to talk of the time of Noah.... Assuming all life started from the Middle east ... It is not impossible that the whole middle east was once flooded...

And if the Egyptians could build the pyramids at that time, Noah ' s ark with animals in it is not impossible.

Hope you get my point.

Its not about religion .... Its about possibilities.

In the 16th century, if an oyo man wrote that he crossed seven ' worlds ' in his foot Journey from oyo to calabar... It doesn't mean calabar does not exist in the present day Nigeria. wink

If you were to trek from Calabar to kano in the 16th century, you would not only see seven worlds, you would see tribes of of "giants " wen u get to kano since hausa people are tall. grin

But it doesn't mean. " giants " never lived in kano according to the calabar man's account. Who knows the Biblical goliath could be 10-12 feets tall while isrealites were short 5-7feet in height. grin

So HardMirror was wrong to have taken historical accounts written centuries ago literally as if they happened just a few years ago. cool

How can such an ark fit all the species of animals along with their mates?

I don't have time for someone that believes dragons exist even in the 14th century. You are not even worthy to discuss with a 10 year old child.
You took the Bible ' s words literally without considering the time frame involved.

You are no willing to think out of the box.

You're like a highly trained doctor who believes that HIV and Cancer are incurable.... Where as, an old illiterate African traditional doctor will cure those diseases with herbs and no side effects.

I have seen cancer being cured with palm win, garlic and paw paw extract.... If I tell a cancer specialist at John Hopkins that it is possible, he won't believe me...

It is the same way you are reasoning ... The fact that you didn't witness something that happened thousands of years ago doesn't mean it never happened.

It is the past that beget the present ... And the present beget the future. Without these pasts you're ridiculing with your unwillingness to think outside the box ... All the gadgets we are using Today, we would never have developed them.

Not really. The sun's radiation intensity affects planets orbit.

Maybe when the sun/earth were younger long ago or so..... The earth spinned faster than it is spinning now.

If the sun suddenly burns more or less energy, it'll affect the earth ' s orbit, weather, climate, winds...

Since the time of Noah, a lot of changes would have taken place. smiley

Then what makes you think noah ' s ark is impossible?

Your own case is even worse than that of an average christian. I am sure you even believe unicorns exist and flying horses with wings
That shows you're very ignorant.

If aeroplane as big as five storey buildings can fly, an horse... Even elephants will fly if they have suitable wings.

Dragons existed up to the 14th century before they went extinct. Do your research well.

If you go into the forests you will see species that science have not even classified....

Try and think outside your brain ... It has nothing to do wth being a Christian or religion.

If the pyramids in Egypt could be built without cranes and steel rods.... If they could build free standing obelisks as tall as skyscrappers and the obelisks are even still standing today in Rome ... Then tower of babel was definitely real... And it is very possible for noah to have built that ark.

The climate of those times is definitely not d same we have now.

My grandpa told me that when he was a teen, there were 22 hours in a day and not 24hours we presently have..

Try think outside your brain.
Christianity Etc › Re: NOAH: This Information Will Make Smart People Throw Their Bibles Away! by oweniwe(m):
HardMirror ... And CAPSLOCKED

What percentage of man's brain can we utilize presently? Just 25%... That's even for genuises... Most people don't even use up to 15% of their brain capacity.

Let me ask you a question ...

If the great pyramids in Egypt could be built at those times, what makes you think it is impossible for Noah ' s ark to have ever existed?

The Bible said the sun "stood still "... You surely don't believe it... But do you know that man is no vigorously researching into the creation of artificial suns that will hang in orbit when the present sun goes cold in the next two centuries... If you tell the people in those days where multiple artificial suns is the norm that only one sun once sustained the World, they will not believe you.

You said nylon covering bread doesn't mean water can cover the whole world ... What makes you think that is not possible? The bible said God opened the doors of the "deep "... Do you know what "the deep " means?

"Earth is a jewel of the solar system, painted blue by the vast oceans that hold the majority of our planet’s water—or so we thought. Most of Earth’s water, according to a new study, may actually be locked in a reservoir 400 miles underground........

If all the ringwoodite in the transition zone is as damp as the samples that Jacobsen and his team detected, that layer would hold three times as much water as all of the Earth’s oceans combined, reducing their share from 96.5% of all known water to a relatively paltry 24.8%. In other words, the ringwoodite discovery could quadruple the amount of water found on Earth...."

http:// www. pbs.org/wgbh/nova/next/earth/huge-underground-reservoir-holds-three-times-much-water-earths-oceans/

Now look at the surface of Jupiter, Uranus or Neptune .... It is very possible that water can cover the whole world.

You said it's not possible to keep millions of animals in an ark.... let me ask you... Is it possible for 10m people to live comfortably on a ship? ... You may say no.... But it is not impossible.

Someone said it is impossible that Jesus fed a crowd of 5,000 buy multiplying some loaves and fishes... Look at coca cola... How many billions of soft drinks have they produced? Where did they get all the water, bottles and chemicals they used.

How did only Egypt feed all the nations around them in farmine? Is it possible for people thousands of years ago to store so much grains for 7 years without modern storage facilities and still be able to feed countries around them?

The mistake you are making is that you're thinking within the confines of your brain. ...

A decade ago, before you see 1gb disk, you will sweat... But today, 10tb can be fitted into a disk no bigger than your finger nail.

The same way you are looking at people in the stone age... Saying rubbish that all they did is impossible because they were not technologically advanced ...... That is how people who will live in the next 2-3 centuries from now will look at us today.

They would say all our present "Advance Technology" is impossible for us to achieve. They would see us as primitive and savage.

Just imagine someone in the year 4050 saying .... "How is it possible for people in 1999 to achieve supersonic flights with junk scrap metal?" How is it possible that New York or Tokyo be such big cities they claim to be? (Remember Nineveh and Babylon are now desert? )

Now let me ask you... What is the time difference ... How many centuries have passed between Noah time and now?

Man still has a lot to catch up with... Common Flu and virus epidemics we can't prevent or control on time with all our "Technological Advancement ".

What you think is very hard Or impossible for people in the stone ages to do could actually be very simple for them.

You said it is impossible for penguins to trek across continents just to be in the ark.... That shows how shallow ur reasoning is.....

Do you know how bitterly cold the world ' s climate was at the time? Penguins don't need to be in antartica at the time and neither do kangaroos need to be in Australia at the time... Sahara desert was once like the Amazon basin.

All life started from the middle east and dispersed from there... Some animals left trails... Others didn't ... Its no biggie considering the time frame involved.

Flying dragons that spat fire once lived... Where are they now? Is it impossible that dragons ever lived? No

2. It's not easy finding a woman that you can confidently say you want to spend the rest of your life with, citing numerous cases of infidelity and divorces....
1. You haven't really been broke or out of job for long before ... That's why you said that. You think feeding a family alone is so easy?

To pay rent, repair spoilt house stuffs (home appliances, car, roof/plumbing) ... Its not easy o.

How will you even find the "right woman " when you don't have money? Ladies will avoid you like shit or keep you friendzoned. ... Ladies want men who are READY to settle down... Ready also includes ready money.

Money comes first before finding the woman... Even if you see willing woman without having money, its a matter of time b4 she walks away.

2.... Men are mostly the culprits here, remember?

Except you mean finding women who can endure infidelity, smoking /beer addicted husbands...
