Family › Re: Throwback; How Did Your Family Survive The "Abacha" Period? by oweniwe(m): 11:25pm On Feb 01, 2015
Very very rough period for us...

I was in pry 1-5 (1994-1998) @ the time....

No food in the house.... Mummy was always going to collect rice, beans and garri on credit....

Dad was driving a Datsun 180k.... When oda peeps were busy flexing 504s and 505s....

Our school fees only get paid when exam starts or few days after....

But what amuses and annoys me most...

People were throwing owambe all night parties left right and center....

Fathers would go to beer palours to drink and drink but if u ask them for N20 exercise book, they will say no money angry

In 2010 when i was doing my I.T, there is VW passat that was parked in front of a house at d back of the office.... Exactly same same the one in the pix.

It has a very neat interior and exterior, fine Rims.... But Why was it parked there just like that? I used to wonder. Maybe the owner travelled abroad.

Four years after, the car is still in the same place. Only God knows how many years it has been parked there like that.
Siena:

i'm presently at kwale...
Went to the office to see my former boss...
Didnt forget about the car.... Still parked in same spot.

no abuse me Oo,I cant. Cater for family no mean say i can't cater for chilf
whats d difference? Is a child not a part of family?

If u're working and your wife is working and she's willing to share the bills, its far better nau....

Do you know what growing up with a single parent is like? When you eventually get married to another lady, how will the child fit in?

Do you know what growing up in a step family is like? If you think your will take good care of your child, you're very wrong.... Most Women dont care about kids that are not theirs... Infact your child will be your wife's 6th or 7th priority.....

If u dont marry the baby mama, this's how ur wife's priority will be like...

1. Her children
2. Her husband
3. Her work/job
4. Her family (ur inlaws)
5. Securing the "properties" under her control.
6. House maintenance/keeping d house running
7. Ur "bastard" child.

.....
If its new session for example, your wife will take care of 1-6 before she considers buying books/bag/pencil for the child.... Even food sef, she will serve, you, serve herself, her children, keep some more food in case her child becomes hungry..... Before she will serve you "bastard" child....

Forget all dos swears from naija women that they can take care of another woman's child as thier own... Na lie.... In practise, most of them do completely the opposite

Now let me ask you.... If you are the "baby girl" you want to have, will you be happy being treated like shyte by ur step mom? Abi the child will be staying with her mother....??.... If the mother marry another man, na im go raise your child...??..

Pls, the way you're thinking is irresponsible......!!....

You're only thinking about the present, not the future.

seriously?
it happens o... You know how hairdressers use to keep kerosene on side when they want to remove attchment.....

Sometimes you'll meet small insects/lice while removing the attachment.... It could be that the lady is dirty.... But sometimes, insect eggs arent completely removed from hair at storage or when re-used....
Celebrities › Re: MBGN Model Esther Kanu Slumps, Dies At 24 by oweniwe(m): 8:25am On Jan 08, 2015
i once read somewhere that a lady in kenya died just like that too... Wen doctors removed her "hair" during autopsy, they found eggs on her scalp... And then a small spider... The poisonous spider eggs was sold with the attachment... Hatched on her head and when the spider bite her, the vernom went straight to her brain... She just fell and died like that....

Its really sad sha.... One's looking forward to tomorro only for all to b ova with the next step one take....

Who knows tomorrow? sad
