What is her PhD in? She may be eligible for the Global Talent Independent program (GTI). It has just been recently launched (about six months ago). It offers a streamlined, priority visa pathway for highly skilled and talented individuals to work and live permanently in Australia. Record shows that visas have been granted in as fast as just three days. Abiscoco: |

My Health Declarations (MHD) is a service for clients who have not yet lodged a visa application and would like to do health examinations before lodging a visa application. It is available via the ImmiAccount arrangements. If you have already lodged a visa application, you should not use this service. All you have to do is to create an account via: https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login and follow the steps via "My Health Declarations". After you create an ImmiAccount, look for the link relating to health declarations and follow the steps. You will be able to generate a HAP ID which will serve as a reference for your medical examination. The below link will also give you useful information: http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Heal/meeting-the-health-requirement/health-examinations/my-health-declarations Graceee: 1 Like |

Very necessary for you coming to Newcastle. Public transportation is not that impressive here. Moreover, its a requirement for some jobs. The good thing is that you can get good, affordable cars (relative though) plus you can use your Nigeria drivers licence here. jorgan: |

rusher14: From my experience, you don't need biometrics if you are applying from the UK. You can have your medicals done before applying to speed up the process. The application is paper based and sent via post. Hope that helps. |

Hi, I don't think applying from Germany is a problem; as long as you are in Germany legally and have the right documents to back this up. I also applied for the 574 visa from the UK and I'm currently in Australia. So no worries! Hope you wrote a very good SOP? You should get your grant in less than 3weeks...all things being equal. All the best mate! tetraman: |

Foreign Affairs / US Governor Sworn In For Fourth Term by owenklay: 9:14am On Jan 06, 2015 |
Who says past politicians can't bring about change and new ideas? California Governor Jerry Brown has made history after being sworn in for a record-breaking fourth term. In his inaugural speech, Democrat Mr Brown, 76, outlined ambitious targets for climate change in the most populous US state. Jerry Brown first served as governor in the 1970s and 80s and returned for another term in 2011. Since then, he has been widely credited with turning around California's finances. Mr Brown told the audience at the state Capitol in Sacramento that California was at a crossroads. "With big and important new programmes now launched and the budget carefully balanced, the challenge is to build for the future, not steal from it," he said. Jerry Brown defeated Republican challenger Neel Kashkari in November in a landslide re-election victory. Source: BBC news |
