Thousands of Nigerian trained Doctors leave every year to other African countries, UK, US etc, because of numerous reason but one important one is very very poor pay in Nigeria.

Even the grade level 12 how much is the salary? That same Doctor ,if he is outside Nigeria will earn that month salary in less than four days in very many countries,when u convert what he earns to Naira.

Yes he may try other hospitals but it Not about the hospitals,the drugs(antivirals) which are effective are expensive. Even if u get the prescription and source it outside the hospital, it is still expensive.

Even monitoring of treatment is expensive.

The good thing is, it is curable,especially when treatment is started in good time.

I think People don't understand the difference between "cause " and "risk factor ".
In science effect is preceded by a cause always.

For example
Will I be rigth to say unprotected sex causes AIDS? No

I think the doctor was saying, excess sugar doesn't cause diabetics (which is technically true), he is not saying excess sugar doesn't increase your risk of developing diabetes ,through various complex process.

Ingestion of sugar(all carbohydrates, and mind you even proteins and fats can be converted to "sugars" in your body) should be done in moderation and a balance by energy requirements.

Regular check up is the key.

Hello, everyone pls bear with me on my write up. I have a challenge with my wife's pregnancy.
I need the doctors in the house for advice and assistance on this issue.
My wife is having all the signs of pregnancy stating from the time we notice the changes. It's 10 months now. We have gone for scane at 6 different hospital and lab, but noting was found not even fibroid in her stomach or womb
But my wife is have kicks indicating something in the womb.
The doctor at the hospital I registered her, did scene on her, but could not find anything, but when he use an instrument don't really no the name on her stomach.. Behold he said he could hear a baby's heart beat.
After every check up, he only said we should continue coming for check up.
I have taken my wife to 3 different midwife who told us that a baby is the womb that we should not go any flashing as some doctors advised. Least I forget... My wife menstruate every month and Her Tommy is coming out everyday. I can feel the kick myself when I place my hands on her Tommy. Am confused, tied and have spent a lot on this issue including prayers. I need help please. Am sorry for my errors.
