Wow, This is inspiring @MRtristan, Felt I should share a summary of my story as well. Ps: I like your story better, specifically the part of earning in a FCY. I also was an NNPC hopeful some three years ago, I didn't even make it to the interview stage after we wrote the test. However, I got an offer with MTN Nigeria in 2019, grew into a new offer (I wouldn't call it a promotion as MTN does not promote), I had to apply for a level 2 role; took the test, scaled through the interview. I'll be resuming my new role by next month. At some point I had an interview for a role with Microsoft in London, UK, but didn't get to finals after my recruitment journey was cut short as stated in a love letter from Microsoft's HR. Also did another interview for a role with a cloud solution company for a role in UAE, however I didn't get offer. The pay per month for both roles is a little over my previous gross annual pay when converted to NGN, added to an assured relocation plan to the advertised locations. This is to mention a few. Hence the heartbreak and also my affinity for a job that pays in FCY. Folks, Stay Relentless, Grind Hard until you can look back and be thankful of how far you've come. Ahavahloveth: The Test is Computer Based; 30 Minutes, 3 Sections, 50 Questions.. do well to come along with your scientific calculator or the regular one (should there be need for square roots and cube roots) Apologies I dont have immediate access to the GMAT materials I had few years back, I'll share as soon as possible via the mail I got from you. I shared this some years back: -Function Specific section: Gather enough knowledge on the role you're applying for. Retail, Sales, sales process, Fintech, BVN, NIN Tiers of accounts, KYC: know your customer, eNaira, MoMo Agent codes, *502#, *456#, *663#, *223#. - Abstract reasoning: (The shapes that needs you to understand its pattern, and decipher accurately the subsequent pattern), study GMAT Abstract reasoning, it should prepare you well enough. -Verbal reasoning: Study your vocabularies well, Antonyms, Synonyms, Homonyms, Sentence completion. Ps: The sections are arranged in the format/sequence you'd meet them in during your assessment. Also make sure you carefully read the instructions and ask questions where you have difficulty understanding. |

I highlighted the downsides of the testing system, a great percentage of candidates failure of dragnet assessments is not a function of laziness, but as a result of anomalies associated with the recent testing system. I can be many other things, but one thing i know i am not near being is "Lazy". Ps: I have scaled about 3 Dragnet tests before now, scaled more difficult tests like KPMG's GMAT and still scaled through, MTN's Function Specific test, MEST Africa's assessment, UBA's assessment, i could go on and on but that's not the point. I have done two Dragnet assessment's within the last six months (2019 Exxon Mobil GT recruitment and Nigerian Stock Exchange GT recruitment). When last did you take an assessment by Dragnet Sir? |

KODACK: Lol, i have dragged many nets administered by dragnet (Sarcastically speaking), literally i have written tons of dragnet tests, right from my undergraduate scholarship days down to recently. Trust me it never gets easier. Dragnet questions aren't that tough per se, their testing method just has many factors that question their willingness to even give candidates a fair attempt at the chosen form of assessment. Yes people still scale through, but then, everyone ain't super-fast or brainy. A lot of folks have potential and are employable, they can do much better than these tests. Dragnet making these tests super tough to meet client specifications (The recruiting companies) is killing whatever little hope these folks have. At the sight of dragnet in an assessment mail invite, some people now just lose hope even before the assessment itself. 1-The timing for these tests are crazy, before you even read some voluminous verbal questions, or use the uncommon shortcuts, your time is speed-breathing its last. 2-The calculation given to you needs more time than you're availed, sometimes a lot of candidates know how to attempt these questions, but for the speed and volume of calculation involved, you'd rather zap through and answer all questions than commit the little time to answering just a few you conveniently can solve under considerable timing. In some cases you end up solving the question, getting an answer, only to hold onto your mouse for that one click, the system takes you to the next section #painful. (This usually happens towards the end of a particular section). 3- The Abstract reasoning is the most annoying part, the patterns are not easy to decipher within the little time frame given, or probably the sequence/patterns are too easy, we (candidates) are too busy looking above our noses. The one that has to be addressed is the quality of image you're meant to decipher, the quality is something I would love them to take seriously. How can i figure out a pattern from tiny boxes with illegible tiny objects inside them, (i don't even have a medical optical condition, how much more an individual who suffers such) ? KINDLY NOTICE ALL THREE SECTIONS DWELLED ON ONE MILESTONE; TIME. I really do hope they see this and make improvements on their testing method. If these reviews are adopted and considered in making improvements to Dragnets testing format, they'll gain more credibility and win the hearts of all major recruiting firms and candidates as well. Ps: i am not saying Dragnet should sacrifice her standard of testing or make their tests easier, i am only pointing these facts out , leveraging on the downsides i experienced during their most recent tests; Exxon Mobil GT recruitment, NSE GT recruitment. I could be wrong on my assertion and i am as well open to intelligent criticisms, but then i have said my bit, Politely. #Gracias 1 Like |
