This happened to me twice as a young bachelor living in Ibadan & working in a multinational there ( around 2006 to 2009) . I was randy. I'll just summarise 1. I dated a girl that I later discovered had a sugar daddy. No matter who I had sex with, the enjoyment won't be the same & I won't calm down until I sex her. I had to go see my mom (C&S) for prayers. 2. Later I dated another girl. In retrospect, I think while trying to secure her future with me (every lady knows if you're dating other ladies concurrently), she go do ìsé. Then I was experienced so I knew the signs. Na my friend's prophet rescue me. Then I stopped being randy & looked for a wife instead. The worst I saw was when my neighbor tied a man that came from Holland to 9ja on holiday. He went to a joint & just wan chop my 40s neighbor with massive yansh. The 1st time I met the man, this guy was brilliant. Lives in Holland, does export to 9ja, etc. Months later, this man will be wimpering like a baby begging me to help him collect his passport from the woman say he wan return to Holland. Omo, man left his house to be living in this woman's room and parlour. The man wife & siblings came with police o. Hmmm, summary. My landlord then sent her packing. True story. Make of it what you will. |
Na you want fly the plane?😁 Just come first. After a year here and you realise you could afford a very good life from legitimate work. Your views will change. You'll enjoy world class infrastructures in a peaceful environment, afford vacations globally, and what we call in Nigeria "high end fashion and cars". You'll realise they're not that high end, you just couldn't afford them back in Nigeria. Rayd502: |
I've never regretted moving. I think Australia is not well marketed in Nigeria. It's peaceful and people are actually well off. It's no brainer that once you settle here, you may never want to return back to Nigeria, you may visit occasionally though. Also, African foods, swallows o, meat o, fish o, are readily available. You'll wish you had come sooner. It's a big economic and migration destination for Oceania and Asian folks though. |
I will offer a sincere advise based on what has worked and is still working for me. So my response is subjective i.e. based on my own personal experiences. I did all that I'm about to share. I assume that you have not run a business before. The first rule is never to lose money, or safe guard your capital as much as possible. Don't let people know that you have such amount & don't show off. 1. Take 20% from the sale of your house and invest in a new plot(s) of low cost land. In an area that has not seen much development. That is for the future. 2. Take the remaining 80% and invest in FGN bonds for at least 1 year. I don't know what the rate is now. 10% 0f 20M is 2M. I'll come back to the 2M later. The minimum period of 1 year will allow your brain to settle down and get rid of any excitement that comes with such huge amount. In that 1 year period, go and do APPRENTICESHIP at the business that you're interested in. If possible do it for free and be HUMBLE to your boss. The skills you'll learn will stay with you for life. Find out how to run that business with a small capital. You mentioned bottled water production, poultry, etc instead of buying the equipment, lease an abandoned one that is still in good condition. Your capital is that 2M from the FGN bond. If you lose it, you'll get another one if you do the bond again. Your 20M capitl is thus protected. 3. If you decide that you don't want the FGN bonds route, then divide your 16M (after investing the 20% in land) into 4 parts. Start your business with 4M and see. After several months, you'll know whether it's a business you can succeed in, and where to inject more capital. Please don't ever rush to add more capital to any business. It's very risky. If the venture fails, you've only lost 4M. The choice is yours. Remember, in the market place, nobody is waiting for you to fail. Your succees or failure is entirely up to you. Don't ever get emotionally attached to a business or a product. Before you start, ALWAYS ask yourself how much will you lose if the business fails? Define how much you're willing to lose before you dump it. Once the loss reaches that limit, please STOP that business immediately. In 2 months time, you'll understand why you fail. Finally, go where the money is. If you're a trader, get a shop in the market place. Never stop praying and be close to GOD or whatever divine you believe in. Best of luck. My lessons came after failing several times. Success is a lousy teacher. I was successful at my first attempt at trading so I thought I was special. Failures taught me the skills that I needed to succeed. Now, I'm still growing and I know that I still have a lot to learn. |
owoblow77:Everyone in that axis had always known that Jafo desired that stool. Before he was made the Oniba, he was been driven around in a customised plate number "KING". Add that to his closeness with LASG. Na Govt dey give staff of office o. |
Bulletproofgt:But Jafo is from that royal family. He amassed wealth through Union activities. That he used the wealth to influence his emergence as the Oniba is anyone's guess. An emerging trend among these royal families is that some illustrious sons are outrightly rejecting the kingship stools because of the demands of the thrones. |
I'm also willing to provide 40,000 units of Zenith. Let's settle this once & for all. 50k is too small. Potential for loss or gain should be higher. N.B: I just had to logon with this rested moniker. |
I need to change my moniker. I have engaged in an e-fight with it once. Now imagine I need to reach out to someone like Pa Ewumi or Oga Wanaj0. I would be viewed with one kain eye. Or I need to work with anyone of you on a project. E go hard o. Folks I would like to rest this moniker, and get a new one. I need to create a more positive online image for myself. Things don dey set, so I need to rebrand. FYI, I will never refer to this old moniker again. Rebranding ![]() |
Dat Northeastern guy sef get harsh mouth. Hanhan! I sure say him dey chop razor blade once in a while. I pray never to cross him o. I fit die from overthinking that I'm a worthless fellow. You may accuse OGG of monkey hunting, but his analysis are usually sound. His writings benefit a lot of people. Or am I missing something. |
I sprinkle this thread with the blood of a she-goat. I coat the thread with snails saliva. I cancel and nullify every anger with the yolk of agama lizard. Hian! When Pastor Vee sef don join bad gang. Imagine e dey buy beer shares. A whole pastor o Anyways, I have restored calmness to this thread. If I hear pim from anyone again, I will report him to Şango and make incantations with dat person's name. ![]() Continue with money making talks jòòr. |

In addition, oil storage everywhere, don nearly full. It will take time to consume that as well. |
thebargainhunte:Some countries played smart with the cuts e.g Saudi Arabia. They jerked up their output to their upper limit weeks b4 the cut. Then used that limit as the baseline to negotiate their own cut. Wosaih! ![]() Any realistic cut wrt the baseline most countries are currently claiming (with the exception of Mexico) should be about 20 to 30m bpd. The present agreement no be am. |
schoolboi:Diversification = cocktail of investments Most guys who shout diversification are salary earners who think they know. A few are smart who write books, organise seminars, etc so they earn steady. Guy, see ehn once u make some capital appreciation from your stocks, just add am to your business capital.Ask urself if u can truly chart like BBM, FXUSER, or Ìfá. In biz, u can fail several times, but once u get it right, food is done. Go Alaba, Daleko or Trade fair to know wodup. Rental income do come down or stagnate wella. Try rental properties in Badagry Lusada Mowe Agbara Lusada Atan etc. I swear dem be waste of funds. You can't even sell at almost cost price. Who wan buy?!!! |
Jijo= HBP I don't know how some people like sir loco dey do am. Trying to make it a primary source of income fit kill person. Not to talk of volatile periods. Salary is more peaceful. If you're a salary earner, appreciate it. Just try to make good use of your earnings. My biz with consistent turnover gives me peace of mind. It's relatively predictable. And returns over time, is d best. I hate receiving rents, dividends better pass rents by far. No stories. If you build house to rent out in most locations outside Lagos and Abuja, in my opinion, sell the Bleep/ing item & move on. |
Ìfá is gifted. His parents asked for a child, the gods gave them an Oracle. Wey dem? Oracle is in da building. He is a bàbànlà bàbà bàbà wòn, their fathers' fathers' father, who is a fore father. yom2:The situation in Africa has whipped a lot of people into submission. Most were promising when young. Unfortunately, the African situation has battered our brains, making most resign to fate. The situation defies logic. I said the majority of Africans o. Individuals can exhibit brilliance but collectively, we're dumb, can't define & achieve common objectives. Religion has become our escape route, our opium. |
