What is happening scholars, this place is too dry, no one seems to be worried about this year's payment, its October already. |
GdexFolami:Last year, we were tested on math and english with 30 questions from each section. The math was not difficult at all, comprising charts(pie, bar and the likes), statistics, and simple secondary arithmetic. The english was the normal lexis and structure, synonyms, antonyms and passages(like three or so) to answer questions from. My advice for you, don't waste your time on the passages try answering questions that won't take your time first and in your math, try to scroll forwards to check the questions at the later part, you might want to start from the back, they most times put the easiest questions at the later end, be smart. Best of luck. |
OLAADEGBU:John 8:31 is more of a verse for eternal security. Are you saying no one is indeed Christ's disciple now, since the end is not come? Jesus there knew some among the Jews who claimed to have believed didn't believe from the heart(was only lip service),so to Him there was no point calling them out,if they had indeed believed they would continue in His word, continuance would test their genuineness. So it is not that if you continue in God's you'll be,rather you're. A true disciple will continue,a phony disciple won't. And one can be rest assured that he will continue in God's word if he has believed from the heart,if it was God who worked faith in him and not of his own will, choice or decision. This is because,if it was God who started it,He would complete it,and not that the fellow will continue by his own effort. Examine John 2:23-24 and 1 John 2:19. |
Please o,i have applied and gotten a mail indicating a successful application but anytime I tried logging in again it brings the whole application form again, and thisis not the same with others, should I just ignore? |
asuustrike2009:Do you just react to every verse of the scripture, have you thrown away contexts,is there any difference between the old and the new testament?.....I think you should start asking yourself questions.........,people just pull out a scripture out of context and establish a doctrine on it,so wrong. |
asuustrike2009:God will not reveal anything further than the scriptures,if you claim God revealed to you many are presently in hell because they were not tithers, why don't you show us from the scriptures?........People even think dreams and visions are always meaningful,in fact they are most times not meaningful, especially when you can't even trace them to the word of God. |
asuustrike2009:what does verse 11 of that passage in corinthians say?....why didn't you quote it? |
asuustrike2009:That the thieves said there are non-tithers? |
asuustrike2009:Na you put them there nau......,i brought out scriptures for you but you refuse to read and meditate, how will you then encounter the truth! |
asuustrike2009:It is a pity you don't even know what Christ had come to do |
asuustrike2009:Honesty I am tired of debunking to tithe payers the deception of this doctrine of tithing........but just do yourself this good by meditating on these few scriptures i'm going to drop: New Living Translation(Romans 8:33) Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one--for God himself has given us right standing with himself. New International Version(Galatians 3:10) For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." |
An2elect2:Yeah,he's good, his teachings are sound......and he's got a lot of them on his youtube page,do check for ''sunday adelaja official'',and emmm....he's got a page on faceebook......''movement against deception in the church''. |
An2elect2:Hello sis,i have been following you for some time now and I bless the name of the Lord for His Grace upon your life for these glorious truths He has revealed........Do you listen to DR Sunday Adelaja?...what do you say about his teachings? |
ysyowel:What is Yes and No?.........Did the church just start now, were there no churches in the time of the Apostles? And where did you even throw 2cor 9.Tithing is a false Doctrine,it tends to yoke believers again. We are free in Christ and whatever kind of giving that does not align with 2cor9:7 is no giving. It is a pity we deal with believers as though they do not have the spirit of God,they must have to follow rules,principles,laws.......Like they were not done away with in Christ. |
So many people have run into this error thinking unbelief is what brings condemnation thereby making it appear as if Jesus Christ brought both salvation and condemnation.lets take a look at this: "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved". "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God". (Jn3:17&18) One may be tempted to infer wrongly from the above passages,to mean that no one is condemned until they decide to reject the gospel, but that is not necessarily true. Sin(an inherited nature which must manifest through its fruits) brought condemnation to all, what belief does through the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is to remove one from this condemnation but whats now the repercussion of unbelief, condemns just at the moment?........NO!...,unbelief leaves one in the condemnation inherited from the beginning. So UNBELIEF does not condemn,SIN already did,UNBELIEF only leaves one in that state of condemnation(having rejected the way out i.e belief). |
Tify:okay, but that's not true, they reimbursed chevron applicants weeks ago |
please any news for those of us that wrote this year...........,no reimbursement since |
I believe it was God's plan to bring upon Job those calamities, for reasons known to Him(could be to prove the devil wrong)........and also to point out firmly,God wasn't responding to the devil here(that is,He did not bring those calamities upon Job just because the devil prompted Him),instead, because God had determined to do so,the devil came around.......,the devil is a tool in God's hands to achieve His purposes. |
OLAADEGBU:Lemme ask,has any happenings in the world ever deviated from God's plan,or has God ever made a mistake, was lucifer created for any purpose other than what he is now? |
adelee777:Okay,first of all that place you brought up as a reference does not say the beast had killed those saints, just an excerpt;''and i saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God''........I know the concluding part of that verse may appear as if they had been saints who had witnessed the reign of the antichrist but in my opinion,i believe that these saints had not witnessed the reign of the antichrist. |
They might have reeled out to you a long list of spiritual exercises they engaged in prior obtaining the anointing and this may appear achievable, but the pure motive behind it is not achievable, only comes from God. |
This is interesting,i have had a little concern about the said topic over time,......I believe the anointing comes with a cost, but the Almighty God will be the one to propel whom He wants to use to pay the price and not just anyone desiring to be anointed and as a result following some rules or undergoing spiritual exercises(wrong motives). But just as someone had said,we should serve God and love Him truthfully and unconditionally, not because of positions or to be labelled ''an anointed man or woman of God'',this is grasping for the wind. |
adelee777:You sound genuine,i am happy for you, btw,i would like you to share your experience. Welcome to the family. |
There will be a great tribulation in the world, the same kind that had never been and never will be(according to matthew 24),this tribulation will precede the rapture, but the elects have nothing to worry about because God will see to their salvation(matt 24:22).......this time is different from the reign of the antichrist(the worship of the beast, the 666 mark and so on),and no saint will be on earth this period, they would have all been caught up with christ(Rev 13vs8). Also to point out,the bible says "insomuch that,if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect" mat 24:24b,and people are already assuming it would be possible |
The op is right, the saying 'heaven help those who help themselves' is gradually and ridiculously making heaven passive here.Heaven help the helpless, heaven is in control and therefore not ready to complete your work, instead, to start its own..........People are making it look like you ginger heaven,No!.....,heaven gingers you. |
redsun:Are you a christian? |
malvisguy212:That is just it brother, and someone will still not understand this, nawa o |
LoJ:Don't be serious with your jokes |
I find this helpful, coined from desiringGod.org Too often we lack works. Maybe we are not praying, not forgiving someone, not crucifying selfishness to care for others, or not sharing the gospel. We know this is a serious problem, because James said that “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” (James 2:17). What’s more serious than dead faith? But there’s a danger here in how we can read this verse. We can miss James’s point. We can think that since faith without works is dead, then if I lack works, I had better start working. I had better start praying, start forgiving, start caring more for others, start sharing the gospel. But that’s not what James is saying. James is saying that since faith without works is dead, then if there are no works, the problem is that to some extent, my faith is dead. And that to correct the problem my faith must be revived. A Heart Without a Pulse To see James’s point, imagine he had said that “a heart by itself, if it does not have a pulse, is dead.” So, if I have no pulse, what’s the problem? A dead heart. And what should I do to get a pulse? Try to revive my heart. If I try to make a pulse without reviving my dead heart, I might be able to create what looks like a pulse. But it won’t be a real pulse, because it won’t come from a living heart. In the same way, if I try to do works without reviving my dead faith, I might be able to create what looks like works. But they won’t be genuine works, because they won’t come from a living faith in Jesus’s person and work and his provision to be working in my working. Abiding and Bearing Jesus taught the same truth in John 15. He said every branch that abides in him will bear fruit (John 15:5). So, if I don’t bear fruit, the problem is that I’m not abiding. Which means the solution isn’t to try to bear fruit; the solution is to start abiding. Fruit comes from abiding. And works come from living faith. But how can faith be revived? Let’s say you don’t share the gospel because you fear what people might think of you. Since this is a lack of works, James would say the cause is dead faith. So how can you revive your faith? Trust His Power Faith is ultimately a supernatural work of God. So start by coming to Jesus Christ as you are, and trust his power to change your heart. Trust him as your redemption and perfect righteousness. Trust him as your Savior, Lord, and Treasure. Confess your lack of works. Receive fresh assurance that you are fully and freely forgiven through his death on the cross and by faith united to the living one who is your righteousness. Confess that your lack of works shows there is deadness in your faith. Ask God to revive, strengthen, and help your faith. Find Promises Then, to strengthen your faith, find which promises from God in the Scriptures you are not trusting. Lack of obedience is caused by not trusting God and his promises. So think about what commands you are not obeying, and what promises from God motivate that obedience. Here is a promise I have used to battle my fear of sharing the gospel. Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets. (Luke 6:22–23) Jesus promises that if I am insulted for his sake, I will be rewarded in heaven with even more joy in him. So if fear of being insulted keeps me from telling people about Christ, it’s because I’m not trusting this promise. I’m not trusting that if I’m insulted, God will reward me with more joy in Christ. Or I’m not trusting that joy in Christ will infinitely make up for the pain of being insulted. Or both. That lack of trust is what James means by dead faith. So how can dead faith be revived? Pray Over the Promises Faith comes as we hear God’s word (Romans 10:17), the good news of what Jesus has accomplished for us, and as we pray for God to help our unbelief (Mark 9:24). So, ask God to help your unbelief, renew your rest in Jesus’s person and work, and pray over promises that motivate whatever works you are lacking. So, for example, if you are struggling with evangelism, pray over the promise of Luke 6:22–23. Think deeply about it. Maybe pray over other passages that reinforce that promise, like Matthew 28:18–20 and 1 Peter 4:14. Keep doing this in reliance upon God until he strengthens your faith so you believe that if you are insulted God will reward you with more joy in Christ, and that joy in Christ will far surpass the pain of any insults. Feel the difference? When the Holy Spirit shows up, your faith is no longer dead. It’s been revived. And your revived faith will make you want to share the gospel with others. Because you know that any insults you receive will bring more joy in Christ forever. We wouldn’t try to create a pulse without reviving the heart. So don’t try to create works without reviving your faith. Steve Fuller is lead pastor of Grace Church Abu Dhabi and writes at Living by Faith. |
LoJ:Christians are saved by faith, and this faith wrought works(inseparable i.e i have a faith that produces works),different from christians are saved by faith and works(separable i.e i have faith and i have works).A concentrated acid burns because its a conc. acid,if it does not burn, its not a conc acid.........but not every substance that burns is a conc acid, and that is why the pharisees and those who try to establish their works miss it. |
