ElBenny: I was craving bread & groundnut with Pepsi last night (it's good to east suffer man food sometimes though), so I went to the Kiosk close by.
I reside at Agip Estate, Mile 4, Port Harcourt.
Got the round bread for ₦170, I asked for groundnut and the old woman said, “My son, ₦50 groundnut no dey again oh. Na ₦100 I dey sell.”
I was absolutely shocked and lost for words. “This woman must be very greedy,” I said to myself. I declined and bought only the bread from her and visited the next Kiosk.
Got there, “Madam evening, ground nut dey .” I said.
“Yes but na ₦100,” she replied.
I said no word, left hurriedly, got home and was in agony.
I slept with a burdensome heart of sorrow; my heart wallowed in the deep of grief beyond the grasp of hope.
I woke up this morning, remembered the ordeal last night and shouted, “Jesus! What a life.”
politicoNG: Kemi Badenoch, in her pursuit to be UK’s next prime minister of the United Kingdom, has slammed Nigerian politicians as looters and dream killers.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Nigeria in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has berated Nigerian-British Member of Parliament (MP), Kemi Badenoch, over her comments on Nigerian politicians.
She was responding to a comment by an Iyabo Awokoya on Twitter:
Comparing Lateef Jakande to Bola Tnubu is like putting Albert Einstein and a macaque on the same pedestal.
Please OP, I beg you in the name of God and whatever the fùck else you hold dear, do not ever mention Jakande in the same breath with any of these worthless monkeys that constitute the APC.
nijaomegacode: How people dey take crash with cars sef. I no understand.
Excessive speed and recklessness in this case
To be barely literate in this computer-driven information age is to function at a very low capacity that in fact equals stupidity. That's what most of these commercial drivers are - stupid people.
That's the beauty of low-to-total illiteracy, the logic of its victims seem upside down when you hold it against what western civilization dictates. One of the real reasons (probably the only one, in fact) why Nigeria will never move forward.
Our people simply cannot transit from tribal- or family-group-mindedness to nationhood, because they are too selfish to grasp the concept. And there you have the fundamental difference between the White man and the Black.
Stupid mistake, she shouldn't have brought Nigeria into her campaign rhetoric at all.
Not like racist Britons would ever vote for a niggã, but now they've got an extra reason to mistrust her spec-wearing ãss...she must be quite dumb in her regular life
Lanrelagboi: The Social Democratic Party Candidate for the 2023 Presidential election , Prince Adebayo Adewole has advised Nigerians not to fall into the trap of assessing candidates based on religion, but should critically interrogate their competence and antecedence as well as a manifesto in performing their civic duties .
AbelAbdul: 1. I don't want to leave Lagos without getting a car. 2. I need Corolla
Be careful with this mindset, don't let them dupe you or sell you a lemon
Because you went in there with no local contacts prearranged, hustlers and middlemen are the ones showing you around and they are only trying to get rich off you, they know they probably won't ever see you again once you're done
Mynd44: Hundeyin has touched that which vexes the SW. He has finally gone to insult MKO Kasimawo Abiola. (Aare Ona Kakanfo)
Wonderful
But this entire story just like his NASCO tale is flawed.
In the NASCO story, the FBI and CIA had concluded investigations and found them not culpable except of course Hundeyin wants to say the FBI and CIA were paid or in on it.
So also is this writing. The FBI has denied this investigation or the forfeiture, as for the travel ban, doesn't exist.
anyway, I enjoy fiction writing and a good novel is always good for the head on a cold lonely mornings like this
There is nothing special/statesman-like about MKO Abiola's active years in business/politics, and the south westerners are under no illusions about what the man actually was - a corrupt (albeit extraordinarily generous) government contractor who contributed very much to the destruction of the Nigerian economy throughout the years of military rule.
June 12 1993 was simply MKO paying (with his life) for his betrayal of the Nigerian dream all through the seventies and eighties. I'm sure you were a toddler during this period that's why you venerate Abiola as some sort of saint.
Yes, the forfeiture signified the end of Tinubu's dirty-money scandal, but it also established the fact the money was not legitimately earned as he claimed, just that the FBI were unable to tie the funds conclusively to narcotics trafficking. It was still drug money, absent paper trails since they smuggled cash in the pre-airport scanner era of the nineties.
Pastorjohn2: I have seen various posts and comments stating Christians shouldn't vote for tinubu because of his Muslim-Muslim ticket. I'm a man of God and a born again Christian, I'm here to tell you myself and my congregation and house hold will still vote for BAT.
We're BATIFIED. he'll turn this nation into the economic powerhouse like Lagos
And God will punish you there, born against progress
