what i'm trying to say is that, try to slowly assimilate the words in other to understand a joke. Sometimes, jokes can be witty n complex n it takes a matured mind to grab d meaning. Perhaps, u're damn SLOW or simply DUMB? And i never know that browsing is a PRIVILEGE to you? Are you in your bush? I mean village where d entire community share a desktop owned by d king- and u have to maximise your own privilege by going through jokes without tryin to understand them? Come to think of it, do you really think good education, being pretty and a sound education are enough reasons to find a mate nowadays?

Personally I do not think so. In the days of our forefathers, marriage wasn't based on all these reasons but mostly on behaviour, brains and submission. If there is one thing I credit to women then, it is the ability to read their husbands or boyfriends. Most of them hardly had sound education but they were well versed in marital education. They know when to stop and when to go on. They were skilled in the act of patience, they wholeheartedly support their men n are appreciative of the little things men do.

Education has brought about enlighthened women who are taught to be independent, overly ambitious and ill mannered.

I once dated a girl like that for 2years but I had to leave her cuz she was bad tempered n always wanna lord everything over me. I took it for 2years but that was as far as I could go. A year later she's still single, looking for a soulmate after dating 4/5 guys, the longest lasting 5 months. Do you blame the guys?

Nowadays giving out your body to a man does not guarantee marriage not even deceitfully forcing a baby upon him.

As much as I desire a woman with a good education n all dat, I do not need another lord in my relationship. A man has lotta issues, if we are rich n treat a woman anyhw - we're arrogant n proud likewise if we're poor n treat a woman anyhw we're considered to be ingrates.

Life is a balance, we just need to find the mid point.

Sincerely I am the kind of 'quality' guy you described in your post, also very well read and well travelled. When I meet ladies like you,I like them, make them good friends BUT never consider them a wife material (no offense intended).

Well. . . The first one i had, got married.
It was a painful breakup cos she was the type of girl you would want to introduce to your mama.
But i wasn't ready for marriage and i had to let her go.
The second one was addicted to sex. At first, i thought it was cool (thrilled me a lot cos she virtually made the first move everytime) but when you get called up by 10.00am in the morning for a quickie, something is wrong.
Since i wasn't always there to meet up with her sexual demands cos i had other things to do, she had to pack her fanny elsewhere.

Well I guess that is where you got it twisted- being educated and working hard for what you want- never gives any one in any relationship to have a attitude in any relationship, I was raised in a two parent household- and my mother was submissive to my father regardless of her education background. That is how I was raised, and exactly what I take in to every relationship I go in- I am a beliver that a man should be allowed to be a man. Please dont make assumptions with out fact !

I am getting a little weary of continuing this discussion as some of you guys have taken it to a whole new level. This topic was meant as a discussion and not a complaint, Relax folks dont be so up tight!A few folks have giving some valid points but a lot of what is being said is ignorance!!

At the end of the day I don't look at a man for what he has. All I have asked for is the basics and that is where the men are falling short these days. Honesty, most lie with out a conscious these days. With no regard!! Find me an honest man and we can start there! Education I got that, own money have that also, place to live I got that as well, car don't care what kind you drive either as I have my own!! Just be honest and that is a rare thing these days dating in 2010!! One questioned if I am a quality woman, maybe I am or maybe I am not. That is for another to judge as I never boast myself unless one is merely intimidated by mere facts of myself!! Saying that quality individuals naturally attract quality individuals is a lie!!! Ask me how I know?? Give me the hardworking, Nigerian man with family values, God fearing,truly single and honest and I will work with him! Until, then most of you are doing nothing but talking!!

Yes, It was scary, Yes he is extremely handsome and it was quite intimidating to reach for someone not knowing if you would be turned down, however, I did not care. It was a risk that paid off. It could easily have gone the other way.

Would I do it again, Absolutely, BTW, I also paid for the food. He could afford it but I wanted him to know I liked him and I am different from all the other women he was used to.

The experience made me understand the serious emotional and physical work it requires for our men to ask us out. I bow for Una men, it isn't easy at all.
