What do you people have to say about tithing? Cause the early Christians didn't tithe I haven't seen that anywhere but what I know they did was to gather what they had sold and gave to the poor and the needy amongst them and in Deuteronomy 14 the instruction on tithing is not what we do today.

Since Christ has died and we know longer live under the law and since the early Christians never spoke on tithing but on love and giving does it now mean that we are meant to give and give from our hearts and not under the guise of tithe. Can't it be said that one has paid "tithe" by giving to the poor, orphans and widows just like it said in Deuteronomy 14. If you have someone who needs urgent help and you give the person Ur said tithe money haven't you done just?

I find it ironic that people will want to pay tithe cause they see God as a money doubler and yet find it difficult to help a neighbour in need.

Why is it that in some churches they call out those who have there tithe in hand to come forth for prayers making others feel some how.

Are we really obliged to pay tithe after the dead of Christ? The way Deuteronomy 14 instructed we pay tithe is it what we do today? Since the early Christians didn't talk of tithe but giving doesn't it mean we should give and give from the heart as you are touched but it mustn't be tithe as an obligation.

its not a requirement to make heaven but a deeper experience in God as long as it is genuinly given by God. Read mark 16:17 there Jesus listed it among the signs that follows believers

Yes brother from this translation, it's even clearer that God did not place a curse on Adam or Eve. I can say it's only the serpent that went off with a cures. because, for God to say, the serpent shall crawl on its belly, from then henceforth, meant it wasn't crawling on its belly before. Like the Dragon, it could have been flying , and walking also, but when the curse came on it, it lost its wings and feets and started crawling on its belly. That's the effect of the cures on the serpent. But for Eve, she was to just get pregnant and push the child out without stress, but now, she will have to cry to do that. Man's purnishment, as I understand it, going by Apostles Paul in Romans 7 is. Man is Carnal, but the law(instructions for him to obey) is spiritual. And it takes spiritual to understand spiritual and to do spiritual things. But man is not spiritual, but he is expected to do those spiritual things.
This is the burden or the yoke of the law. The ever present awaeeness of the consequences of his actions, but his inability to stop it no matter how hard he tried.

There's something else. When Satan said to man "you shall know good and bad", he was right. It is knowledge that exposed sin (the ability to identify what is wrong and right). What was right and wrong was made known to Adam. When Adam does what was wrong Adam will always know it. God told Adam if you eat from that tree you will die. The consciousness in Adam points him to the consequence that God has pronounced, (though shall die) the guilt is always present, but the power to stop it was absent.

Adam couldn't do the right thing no matter how hard he tried. It became like a man in a Maze, running round and round still going back to where he began. But the burden became heavy each time he got to that beginning point.

This is the curse of the law. Adam was meant to live free, but he went on to activate and set the course on motion. SIN set the wheel spinning, and spinning with him in the middle, he kept fighting to break free, but couldn't. Until Christ came and stopped the spinning wheel and brought him out.

The curse of the law is having the consciousness that mastubation is a sin. Your awareness that It brings spiritual dryness. It leaves you with guilt, it makes you so weak physically and spiritually desolate. But you can't stop it. You cry after you have done it, you repent. The urge comes again, you fall and do it. The circle goes on and on.

The Holy Spirit is the end of that Curse. because the Holy Spirit makes you a spiritual man, no longer Carnal.

Oh no brother. The curse of the law here, is not God placing a curse on man. It means the burden that comes with fulfilling those laws. It was impossible for them to obey those laws. The law was a heavy yoke on the people's shoulders, as much as they tried to keep, they kept falling under the yoke.

The effect of sin brought man under the slavery to serve sin(spirit).

If we read Romans 7: 2-25. We will fine it there. These people were given a burden to carry, but werent given what it took, which was the divine enablement through the Holy Spirit, to carry those burdens. Apostle Paul cried out, "o wretched man that I am, who will save me from this slavery".

This idea of God not cursing man or never cursing what he blessed is very interesting but is it actually correct?as d noble berean christians did, try reading dat gen3 account with different versions. To d woman He even said He will multiply her sorrow during childbirth. Another place God specifically placed curse is in deuteronomy 28 but thank God Jesus Christ has delivered us from the curse of the law. However, am not saying dis to start an argument.

In my dream i was in a place that looked quite like a mine, a solitary fellow was harvesting diamonds and piling them in large heaps, he would stop to look at them for a while then return to his work. Behind him stood an unusual statue, it was just the head of a heavily bearded man, it sat between the piles of diamonds, it was large and tall quite as tall as the man himself.
After watching him dig for a while i noticed he came upon a particularly beautiful jewel, it was as large as an orange but oval shaped and very clear with bits of beautiful dots of colour scattered within it. He picked it up and placed it in a little space within the statue, away from the rest of the jewels.
He continued digging for a short while then returned to examine the jewel. He took it out of the statue then began slowly turning it over in his hands admiring it's beauty. At that point i suddenly became very weak while still watching him, i then stretched out my right hand at him and said "The King's Jewel will never be yours", then he raised up his head and looked at me, i don't know why i said those words or what they meant but that was the end of that dream.

I'm a committed and ardent follower of this thread. Please I need your guidance @nnamdiosu, charlyG1, analice, vooks, oyelude and others.
First, I'm newly born in Christ (2 months plus) though fast growing by His grace. I know that there are a lot I need to learn, and so, I am committed to reading my Bible and asking older soldiers.
The issue is this. My dad suddenly fell ill (stroke like) and cannot walk, plus slurred speech. Later, he was diagnosed to have a growth in his cerebellum, but before the result came out I prayed against surgery and when it came out, same was recommended. So I went back to Him who holds the key to life for I know that my dad won't go under a knife for he is healed already, spiritually.
I prayed God that whenever I'm travelling to see him, I'll be travelling for Thanksgiving and not the otherwise. Yesterday, my mum called and said that he recorded "60 percent improvement" in her words. I spoke wth him, his speech was firm on phone.
My spirit has been troubling me to go down to my village and conduct a prayer. Well, I have finally decided to do so, but I have some concerns.
I have no companion, I will be going alone.
What should I expect?
Nobody, even my extended family, is currently in the village.
I have never done a thing like this before and there are past revelations of buried charms and diabolism by a dead relative (who said i was her husband's reincarnate). I've already broken every link and prayed against any sought of covenant etc.
Need I physically go down there?
I am already in transit to my state to see my parents in the city. Not that I am afraid but I need insight and guidance from my "elders".

Again, in my first week of prayer, I dreamt of when I was clearing grasses in the village and my dad was passing with a frnd. He greeted/discussed with me ( he was limping a bit).
About five days ago, I had a dream when an old woman from my mum's side took me to the back of my g'mum's house and gave me black bag filled with gifts wrapped in black nylons. I kept it in the house, someone/smth instructed me to throw it away, which I did. I woke up into another level of dream and was telling my aunt of the dream. she started scolding me that I shouldn't have collected the bag. I told her to calm her nerves until she hears what I did last, then I woke up fully.
I also dreamt yesterday of killing a centipede and saving a kid from falling off a cliff.
Can someone help me also with the interpretation of any. Thanks.

Have you received the baptism of the Holy spirit? if not, get baptized in the Holy Spirit and spend sometime to pray and study Gods word until you are totally filled with faith for God hasnt given you the spirit of fear.
now this is the interesting part. you need to be rugged but dont b rude. let everyone see that there is something new about you and walk like a king without fear.preach the gospel to your family members i believe the Holy Spirit will give you specific instructions. make sure you update us here. as i said earlier,firstly get the baptism of the Holy Spirit evidenced by tongues before going but if you are already there, get it there.

My sister when dealing with them, avoid arguments because their understanding is darkened.one thing about them is that they fear spiritual things as you can see how they avoid this thread but had it been a thread on theology dey will have derailed it long ago. I have lived with dem and i know them so much. they can provoke you out of the grace of God if you engage them in logical argument because they will insult you stylishly to win the argument and you may end uo almost throwing punches(i almost did once wen i just got bornagain).

It is best to isolate whoever it is you wanna talk to because dey may pretend if any of their fellow is around but open up to you in an heart to heart conversation. avoid talking about doctrine to d individual because dey av been indoctrinated from kids and it will take process of time for them to unlearn wat dey av learnt. Love is key when dealing with such individual because even d wildest best, can b tamed by love. you can talk about spiritual thing dat will facinate them and is new to them like miracles, the power of God etc along the line, you will win such a heart to Christ.

I think bro charles dream is a message to d entire body of christ. Its sort of related to a vision i had d third week of january dis year at a prayer meeting. I saw a very old abandoned well. All around d well was water but inside it i found was filled with treasures. I sort anwers and am still seeking but this is wat iv been able to find in my quest for answers.
Before adam fell, he never knew wat lack was but wen he did, satan took over as d god of dis world and controlled dis resources once at man disposal. Man had to sweat to get even d most little of all Gods provision dat were once his.d treasure are not just financial riches but every spiritual blessings in heavenly places. For several year, the truth about healing and miracle was hid from the church until individuals dared to enter dat realm and there was great healing revivals than has ever been seen by man b4. I believe dat room bro chalse saw those treasures is d realm we need to enter as believers and provoke the Kingdom of God on earth.
Last week dis was wat i heard pastor sam adeyemi say on tv "God made man, man made money but now man uses money to evaluate wat God can or cannot do" isnt is ironic.
God is calling us to enter his realm called rest. Where everything is available for us to propagate the gospel of the kingdom to d ends of the earth. How we enter into dis rest talked about in d book of hebrews is left to us to enter. Jesus undid wat adam sin did. We are more than conquerors through christ and so we must not live in defeat anymore. The christian journey is upward from glory to Glory.

I agree wit brethren saying you may need deliverance but in an issue like dis, i recommend self-deliverance because at ur weak moments, you may still b tempted and you must learn how to deal wit ur battles yourself. Wen it comes to the lust of d flesh, most responsibilty lies in ur court. Apostle paul said mortify(kill) the desires of the flesh. You do this by not giving d flesh those things it desires such as worldly music, romantic movies,images dat drives sexual desires, do not listen to romantic tales anymore as a matter of fact, you may change ur friends and b closer to those(females) that can help you spiritually.if u av non, sis analice is always here for you. Its not difficult to break free, its all in ur court.
First of all i hope u r bornagain if so, you are few steps away from ur deliverance but if not, you can be today. As for the spirit dat comes to manipulate ur dreams, and engage violate ur body, as long as you are bornagain, declare loudly dat ur body is now the temple of the Lord and command it to leave you alone and it will obey u.
Secondly get baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Thirdly, you need to fill ur inner man with the word of God i.e meditate daily on it. Its called sanctification of the soul. Jesus said to God "sanctfy them through thy truth, thy word is truth". Fourthly, put away all those things that reminds you of sexual desires such as movies, pictures and so on.
Fifthly, you are delivered and totally free, never entertain any fear thenceforth

@ temi4fash, i will like to categorize fake tongues into two groups i.e demonic tongues and tongues learnt even though at times dey may not be mutually exclusive.
demonic tongues :this happens wen a person is possessed by a demon and hasn't encountered Christ but speaks in tongues. Dis can b discerned by a person who is filled with the Holy Spirit truely. I once experienced it in d University. There are some places in my school people do go to pray so one day i went there to pray on some personal problems i was facing and two other christians were there praying on their own. Suddenly some group of individuals were just speaking demonic tongues and coming towards our direction. At once i knew that that was a demonic tongue and it was as if the Holy Spirit just poured out power on the three of us praying there at once cos all of a sudden, we all stood to our feet and started rebuke d false spirits. Those people fell down and they all ran away. It was like a drama before my eyes as i could even understand how it happened. Dis was me dat was going tru challenge and wanted to pray for my personal problem.
tongues learnt : the Bible says they all spake in tongues as the Holy Spirit gave utterance not as d pastor told dem to recite. A friend once told me how he was invited to a church program and there d minister taught them d alphabets of tongues. Someone even told me a pastor said people should be repeated d word banana,banana,...till wat dey were saying changed and dat is how tongues came. Dis is d real definition of gibberish as nothing could be farther from reality. I once lived with a person who learnt his tongue though i wont mention the church he attends so as not to offend anyone on dis thread who belong to dat denomination. One thing dat characterize learnt tongue is d repetition of syllables and you will know it if you av lived with such a person b4.
All in all, just know that d devil is still a counterfeiter and just like jannes and jamberes counterfeited d work of God done tru Moses in d land of Egypt, d devil has still not repented even today. Why should anyone go for the fake wen the original is available for everyone free of charge

I knew next to nothing about the baptism of the Holy Spirit wen i received the experience as a matter of fact i was in a program organized for youths wen d message about the Holy Spirit was preached and I received not really having the knowledge. I was as a matter of fact battling with condemnation of sin dat period so wen d message was preached i was praying for purity of heart and d grace to stop living a rising and falling life.
There is a difference between the tongues and diversity of tongues. Paul talked about speaking in the tongues of men and tongues of angel. Wen He talked about tongues, he said the understanding of the speaker is unfruitful because he speaks mysteries in the spirit but wen he talked about the gift of diversity of tongues which is equivalent to prophesy as long as there is an interpretation of it. He that speaks in tongue speaks to God but d gift of diversity of tongues is God speaking to man through another man and there is usually someone in the congregation that has the interpretation or the person who hears it knows that language. I av seen this in operation.

As long as it's the Father you are asking for the gift of the Holy Spirit and not some man, you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit. You can decide wen you want it. All you need to do is leave a place where you can be distracted so you can concentrate your full attention to God. Pray, declare that you have received and drink of the Holy Spirit. You can use dis scripture for meditation. Luke3:16, John7:37,38, mark16:17

sis you av nothing to be worried about since you have d Holy Spirit baptism all you just need to do now is to grow in the school of the Holy Spirit. Do not entertain any fear of spiritual spouse as a matter of fact you are married to Jesus. Demons go about trying to deceive and dat is why we shouldn't live by experience but by the word of God. Concerning the word of God ie the Bible, it profits you only wen u meditate on it not memorize it. Memorizing engages ur soul, meditating engages ur spirit man and one thing with the Spirit man is dat He never forgets. Wen you are challenged by any situation, u will see d scriptures u av meditated on surging up in ur spirit and dat is how Rhema is released. Rhema is spiritual and spirits can't but obey it.
