I had a dream this night.
In the dream, I needed to buy something, so I went out. All of a sudden, I found myself in an area full of some creatures. They were few normal humans (men) there. I can't fully describe these beings. (Me, I don't see demons, so I don't know how they look). Well, from the descriptions I get here, I think these beings could be them. Very ugly creatures. Black in colour. I didn't say complexion, I said colour. They were black like the colour black. Like black paint. The things were longish, limpless. It's hard for me to put words to this, serious. It seemed they didn't have feet or palms. Their faces were smooth, no nose or mouth. But they alive and standing, and were holding old rusted knives and, were brandishing the knives. I was wondering how they were able to grab the knives without palms.
It appeared it was a festival of some sort going on. I think they were waiting for something to happen or someone to come. I don't know, maybe I was invisible to them, because as far as they were concerned, I didn't exist. I wasn't suppose to be in their midst, and non of them paid me any attention. So I started leaving. It was hard for me to meander through them and get to a clear place. But I did.

I Went a little further away from this group, then I met another group of people. This were all girls, teenagers who wore school uniforms, a large group, blocking the entire way. I saw one I recognised, we greeted. I made to pass through them, they stopped me. A girl of about 19 or so, their leader, charged at me. Wow, what happened next, happened so fast. I spinned like a tornado we see in films. When I came to, she was lying on the floor. I Started beating this girl. By now I was very angry in my spirit. I put my hands in mouth, I wanted to tear her face into two. Separate her upper face from the lower. I dragged her on the floor, by her upper teeth away from her gang, they stood transfixed, powerless to do anything. I was dragging her on the ground when I woke up.

D truth is dat demons understand their boundary and dey will do their best to keep u ignorant of it cos they know as long as d heir is still a child, he is not different from a servant. D spiritual realm is far above d kingdom of darkness. As a matter of fact if you do not put d realm of darkness in its rightful position, you can't make spiritual progress.
How scared of demons are you?
. For believers still afraid of demons, it is because you don't know who ur father is. You think demons are scary? please take a quick glance at the book of ezekiel chapter 1 and see how d Bible described Cherubims. In dat vision, ezekiel saw 4 Cherubims before d throne of God. Do you realize dat d devil is just one out of many Cherubims in glory? There are several Spirits far greater than the devil in Glory. D Bible tells us that the sit of the devil was at eden. The greater the level of Spirits, the more closer they are to the throne of God. Before the throne, there are the seven Spirits of God and then d 24 Elders, Seraphims, Cherubims (of higher class than satan) etc. Do you see how dis rubbished the devil.

God still has all thrones and dominion on His side. D devil was able to get just 1/3 of principalities under his control.
My spiritual prescription for all who wanna leave d level of wrestling demons and move on to Sonship is to finish d whole chapter 1 of colossians. As a matter of fact just try and meditate on d whole of ephesians chapter 1-3 until it becomes a part of your spirit man wait for d demon to come, don't pray just stare at it, it will know you are past its hold and never come back.

I led an Herbalist to Christ today. Praise the Lord.
I didn't even go to him with the intention of evangelizing him. I asked for a rag to clean my shoes, he gave me a rag, as I was cleaning my shoes, he asked me why I was in that area, I told him, he said he could assist me with info. (His words) "But I be Herbalist o". I said really? He said yes. He doesn't look it, but I saw stuff around which indicated he wasn't lying. I then asked him what herbalists actually do. He thought he had seen a client. He gladly was telling me his art. I said OK, do you also cure demo possessed people? He said, "ah ah, dat one na small thing nah", just bring the person, and now now, I go destroy the demon. I said OK, how do you destroy this demons since they are spirit beings? He said by consulting with his Spirits. They will tell him what to do, and now now, he will destroy them.
I said, do you know that demons have names? I asked him if he knew the name of the demons who sexually molest people in their sleep? He said he didn't k of their names.
I started by telling him some names of demons based on what I learned here.
I asked him if he inherited the herbalistic tendencies or he acquired them by himself? He said he inherited them.

I asked him if he knew who Christ is? He said Yes, am a Christian, I go to redeem church.
Do you have a bible? He said yes, Do you read the Bible? He said yes. He said, there are psalms I will give you now, if you fast with them, whatever you ask, you shall receive. I said OK. At that point I brought out my Bible I said show me the psalms, he couldn't I played cool.
I made him feel comfortable in his job.
When he told me that, he expected me to leave immediately, but instead, I sat down in the sun for 2hrs talking to him.
Base on the info I gathered from this thread, I was so bold to talk to this man. He confessed that, no one, male or female has ever had the kind of courage I had to look him in the eyes and tell him, he is worshipping Satan. He said, when he told me he was an Herbalist, he expected me to turn and leave like others. He said everyone who hears he is a Herbalist turns and leaves, but I stayed and shared the word with him.
He was so grateful that I didn't treat him the way others had always done. I told him I was not there on my own, I am an ambassador representing Christ, so I carry the totality of Christ in me.
He asked why I didn't leave, I told him I loved him and won't want him to go to hellfire. He was looking at me like I was some strange lady.
After I opened the Bible to show him what it meant to be what he was, and what the people in the Bible did after they met Christ, after that, he accepted to give his life to christ. I asked him if he will willingly burn up his herbalistic items, he said yes. Well, I didn't stay to see him do that, I had to leave.
I took him through the Sinners prayer, and prayed for him afterwards.
I leave far away from that area so following him up personally Will be a challenge for me. I directed him to a church close by, but he told me he has an Aunt who is afraid of coming close to him because of who he is, (he said, if you just mention my name, my sister will tell you to go far from me, because am a herbalist), but that she worships with Winners Chapel , and base on what he has seen from her, he will want to follow her to Winners Chapel. I said OK, I took the lady's number, to call and make sure she tries to follow him up. I will too.

When ministering deliverance on someone. What is the first thing or procedure to follow or question to ask the person that need deliverance?

well the first stage is counseling and the individual has to be very open and sincere. From the counseling, you will be able to discern if the cause of the problem is from a demonic source and what the demon is holding on to (mayb a family covenant, a way of life e.tc). Just like Jesus did, you should ask wen d problem started and how often d person gets attacked. During counseling you will also open the scriptures to show d individual d finished work of Christ concerning his/her deliverance and make them realize that the devil has been cheating them ignorantly, that its totally the will of God for them to be free. As soon as d individual desires deliverance, he/she is several steps ahead already.
Deliverance is not a ministry limited to few individuals, as soon as you are actively serving the Lord, you will be confronted with cases and you may have to step in immediately. Sometimes even in a prayer meeting the Holy Spirit will make ppl demonize to manifest it. I remember one day back on campus wen the Holy Spirit asked me during a prayer meeting to request that those who needed to be baptized in the Holy Spirit step forward. Ppl did and almost immediately two sisters began to manifest evidence of demonization (its different from being slay in d spirit because it brings torment to d individual). My spiritual understanding at that time was still very shallow so some sisters took dem out and i went there to minister to dem but it was a very exhausting task because i never counseled, never sort to know if dey wanted to be free. I stayed there and devil was entertaining and deceiving me. It was getting late nd i had to go back home. I just used faith to cover up on my failure but deep within me i knew those sisters weren't free yet, i left depressed.
For you b effective in the ministration of deliverance, you need to go tru d tutoring of the Holy Spirit on d subject matter. Wat i first did was to take my Bible and read tru the gospels i.e matt-john and I used a red marker on every part dat tells about Jesus encounter with evil spirits (actually mark gospel contained most of it and John gospel contains less or even non cos John focused more on Jesus personality dan was he was doing). Remember that as you read this and understand due to the teachings of the Holy Spirit, wen u r confronted with situations where you need to step in, the Holy Spirit will give you counsel on what to do based on wat He taught you.

dey are demons. I'll like to use the word gang like bro superior. I don't like building belief base on experience but in dis case ill say wat i believe about dis. Demons comes into a person due to some reason e.g, a young teenager dat is just getting to know about his body is encouraged by a friend to try masturbation and ignorantly he does, d demon of masturbation enters into him to d and also invites other of his friends including demon of rape. The demonic strongman in dis case is d demon of masturbation(usually d spokesman wen deliverance is going on but i dont encourage listening to evil spirits cos dey are lying spirits) and if he is expelled during deliverance, his friends will go out with him. Remember the Holy Spirit helps you to remember what you av been taught (john 14:26). By the gift of discernment, you know the type of spirit operating in dat life and you expel it from the individual and it leaves but other demons are still there undetected and after a while dey invite back their paddy and d individual relapses to old habit but instead of sending out a particular demon, u could av targeted d entire gang and if there are other gangs, by discernment do d same to there.
D spirits of infirmity are a gangs of demons who go out to oppress the bodies of humans by afflicting or inflicting diseases on people. Luke 13:11 talks of a woman whose body was bent by reason of a(signifying that there could be several other types) Spirit of infirmity.
Real case scenario: A person you are ministering to may be possessed wit several spirits and it a really exhausting task expelling the demons one by one and moving from one class of demons to another. It will amaze you to know d number of people who turn up for deliverance including "spirit filled" christians and since they are all coming to God, you as a minister must be available.
Remember deliverance is a sign that follows to prove the supremacy of our Lord over all power and its not our utmost assignment from on earth(which is soul winning).

Hey, just wondering if there are any of you who have experienced this?
I grew up in strict Mennonite sect, and 12 yrs ago was excommunicated from my church.
I was suffering from depression, eating disorder, and was hospitalized.
While in treatment, I had a one night stand with a stranger, out of desperation at myself and circumstances.. I was suicidal.
However, the leaders of my church already told me depression and eating/emotional disorder were sin, but they expelled me for having sex once..
In my pain I took a knife to bed the night they did this, but thank God did not act on my impulses.
What I'm really wondering is if they're are any of you who have experienced this even after this many years my family and friends will set a table elsewhere for me to eat.
Even if I bring food to my brother after birth of their baby, he sets me apart to eat but my boys are able to sit with his family...
I'm so tired of this treatment, but still love my family!

Hello dear. Please you need to realize that even if ur family turns their back on you, Jesus loves you. You talked about belonging to a particular sect, I must confess to you that no matter how devoted d sect is/was to upholding moral values, if it doesn't lead people to an encounter with Christ, it is not better than a secret cult.
How to Discern if Jesus Christ is present in your life?
I'll answer dis by asking how you know your close friend or colleague is around. Well i once went behind a class mate of mine while i was in secondary school and i covered his eyes expecting him to guess who it was playing dat game with him. It wasn't a very difficult guess. My perfume gave me away. I was d only using d particular brand in class and he was acquainted with d smell on me.
The fragrance that goes along with the personality and presence of the Lord Jesus Christ is summarize in dis 5 lettered word PEACE .

I beg to disagree with you there bro. those of us aquinted with the deliverance ministry understand that demons are very deceptive. now...that demon was trying to disguise its true nature. the idea is that if a normal Christian without discernment was the one doing the deliverance, he would have said...YOU DEMON OF CONVULSION COME OUT...INSTEAD OF THE DEAF AND DUMB SPRIT COME OUT. some demons will even tell the minister that I'm going out....and once the minister believes without asking the holy spirit for confirmation, he stops the prayers and the demon still stays in its victim

since ur are in d deliverance ministry, it will be easy for you to understand that demons usually work in groups. wen a deaf and dumb spirit is in manifestation, the victim usually exhibits deafness nd dumbness (try talking to a person experiencing seizure). I know wat i am saying is totally different from what is practiced in most deliverance ministries but you must realize thats dis a paradigm shift. Next time you encounter a person who is epileptic, autistic, prone to seizures, etc, cast out d deaf and dumb spirit and tell me what happens thereafter.

If truely it was just dumbness and deafness(which is a Spirit of infirmity), d father of the boy said the seizures has been happening from d boy childhood. I believe most mean genuine men of God in the healing ministry know this.(wen ministering healing, you hear them rebuke d spirit of infirmity and sometimes mention specific demons of infirmity like demon of cancer, demon of blindness etc) listen to reinhard bonke, pastor Adeboye, pastor. kumuyi pray for healing.
In addition to dis, there is no way you properly discern a devil and ask them to go out that they will not. It is not you d demons fear but God who you are representing. Wateva decree you make here on earth is established in heaven. We see cases in the scripture where after Jesus told demons to come how that it even fell the man on the floor and started tearing his body violently. I also have my calling in the deliverance ministry but wen i got it, i didnt bother to copy d way it is done in churches around but i went into the scriptures and God lead me to good materials. Good morning brethren. Dis morning I'll like to talk about demonic strongmen. I came about dis list after reading articles and listening to messages by pastor Benny, late Derek Prince and also did my homework studying the Bible like the berean christians.
Biblically we know that the Triune God has seven Spirits depicted by the 7 golden lampstand in the throne room. Well the devil has 12 demonic strongmen scattered throughout the Bible and it really helps to know them because instead of wasting time driving the smaller demons, if you deal with the demonic strongman, you can easily send out d rest or many times, dey go out with him.
A very important tool in deliverance ministry is the gift of discerning of spirits. Demons will try their best to hide their identity so dey cannot be sent out. For example, d demon of suicide can b in a person for a long time but ine day u will see d person has committed suicide. Anything that makes a person acts abnormal is usually a result of demonic activities.

Background
The dear Sister despite being only in her early 20s has suffered more misfortune than most people in their entire life, she gave her life to Christ some years before that ministration but never enjoyed the fruit of salvation for long. The ugly demon calling himself 'beautiful serpent' has made all attempt to kill and frustrate her destiny, she has prayed and fasted but got very little results.

Are given names that powerful?

Names are powerful and spiritual, they are an invocation on the child……. some cultures give name to children after the idol or deity worshiped in the household or village of birth, such invocation definitely opens the child up for the household demons.

Like I made mentioned earlier in my tribe, names like Babatunde (Our dead father returns again), Esubiyi (Esu deity gave birth to this), Fafunmbi (The Ifa diety gave this to me) etc are quite common, these names give legal ground for the ruling demons to gain access into the life of a Child.

D story of jabez supports my stand on dis because it was never mentioned that God gave him another name. As a matter of fact Jabez was even more honourable dan his brethren b4 he prayed d famous prayer. It wasn't mentioned if it was God who changed the name of saul to paul in d Bible so it could av been done by individual conviction. Today we have famous men of God who have genuine encounters and dey still retain their old names.
From the Scriptures, we can see dat it usually wen God makes a covenant with individuals dat He usually gives dem a new name to signify that covenant. We are under a new covenant and according to Scriptures, we will all b given a new name wen d time comes.
However, its good to give the best of names to our children cos dat is wat dey will b called truout life but am of d opinion dat it doesn't necessarily mean a change of name is compulsory. A good example of dis is in a childhood friend of mine who happened to come from d riverine part of niger delta, dey were all born in "Christian homes" and bear christian names. Infact d name of the lady was repentance. I was told(by her sibling who was very close) dat after dey are born, dey were usually taken to their hometown for some rites which involved throwing d baby into d river(all in d name of give to ceasar wat belongs to him). I suggest you take this issue to strong members of the family that he listens to like his father or an uncle that he respects. let them advise him. Hi everyone, after what happened in my husband church on Sunday how he embarrassed me and his worker slapping me. I decided to consult his doctor friend to talk to him ,the only reason he gave the doctor is that the mistress saved his life when he wanted to kill him self because of a woman that died years ago in his church which left him confused then(I traveled with My last child when this incident happen) and the girl telling him not to kill him self is enough that the girl love him and that from that day he swear never to leave that girl nor let the girl feel bad in any situation.

my sister, don't do anything rash and don't leave ur home oo. Don't allow unexperienced youth here on nairaland advice u to do wrong.
