philfearon: No, the Dothraki spoiled the battle plan... Didn't you see it from the get go? The plan was to draw in the NK, in otherwords allow the NK to show up so that they will pinpoint exactly where he is coming from... But the Dothraki mastürbating to the joy the Red Witch gave them charged into the battle(and this was not part of the plan). Daenyrys couldn't bear to watch the Dothraki slaughtered as they were loyal to her, not John... You could see when Jon tried to tell her to stick to the plan(albeit by holding her), but she didn't back down. This was the ultimate distraction that resulted in lack of cohesion among them. When Daenyrys and her dragon left and was breathing fire down on the wights, they got lost in the heavy cloudy weather... Something the Davos and witch realised and made sure to light up the trench as a way to show her the way since they were now being slaughtered.. The dothraki didn't spoil any plan. Jorah was the one that was commanding them, and Jorah knows about battle. They shouldn't have moved a inch at all. Dany was the one that was suppose to light the trench when Ser Davos raises the torch but she couldn't see the signal because of the cloud. They needed to light up the trench to stop the wights from coming closer not to show dany the way. |

They accepted her because she lit the Dortrakis swords, only to die 10 seconds later Melisandre is a representation of people that miracle happens through them but along the line, they feel they know all more than the extraordinary being. She thought Stannis was actually the prince that was promised due to his lineage and the only person she could form an alliance with. But she admitted she was wrong tho |

philfearon: Watch this closely. You can say the Wierwood is the only big one in view! What Are Godswoods on Game of Thrones ? When the First Men invaded Westeros, they started a war with the Children of the Forest that led to the creation of the Night King. Both sides were then forced to fight the Night King together, and after they won, the First Men agreed to worship the Old Gods as part of the peace treaty. As such, every major castle and settlement in Westeros is built around a weirwood tree, and the shrine-like area surrounding it is called a godswood. From your picture, which other high or big tree can Arya jump from apart from the weirwood? Godswoods are wooded sanctuaries, enclosed within a castle's walls, that have been set aside as places of worship and meditation dedicated to the Old Gods of the Forest. They are centered around a single heart tree, usually a weirwood tree with a face carved into the trunk. One such godswood is located in Winterfell. |

J2381: you saw how easily he defeated theon. That showed he's a skilled fighter.
Since he had no reason to battle Jon. He honestly had no reason whatsoever to stand there and let Daenerys baptize him with fire. Theon was weak by that time. |

The writers, the producers, GRRM, and all characters are all stupid for not at least once discuss the possibility of the dead resurrecting in the crept when the nightking does his magic. (I even thought there was a kind of magic that won't allow that, maybe that was why they didn't discuss it) OR was it to surprise we viewers and to get Sansa all tensed up to suck a dwarf's d*ck?
What is even the use of Nightking.

GMan650: She's dead... Its the neckpiece that have been keeping her alive. So many people are not talking about her deeds in this battle. She was the gamechanger. She gave us all the motivation and most importantly Arya.
Melisandre, I stan. The neckpiece is for her to look good, because she's an ancient haggard old woman, not what kept her alive. She once removed the neckpiece at Castle Black, why didn't she die then? |

The worst episode of GoT for me, it went sideways from the beginning.
Why will the dothrakis charge at army of the dead like that? You let them come to you.
The reason Ser Davos allowed a deserted Melisandre in was because she made the dothrakis swords have fire flames yet they were useless in the battle.
The unsullieds use of spear was useless to me.
How was Theon and the rest of the ironborns able to reload their arrows?
In some scenes the wights rush like the zombies in World War Z, in some scenes when move like zombies in The walking dead.
So many wrongs in the episode 5 wights on an actor and the actor no die.
The battle was too dark.
This show have turned to sh*t. |

Endy10: You can't just decide when to display honour. It's a quality that comes with being an honourable person, no two ways about it.
I can't say I'm a truthful person and then proceeded to tell lies. That means I'm not a truthful person, instead I say the truth most of the times...two different things.
Ned was an honourable man. He reverberated honour. It was a way of life for him. And it was his strength, not his weakness. And his people loved him for it. Theon won't be the only one guarding Bran, his fellow ironborns will be there with him. So he might escape with Bran while the foot soldiers ironborns get killed. |

Shugah: Escape room is a 4/10 for me. Amateur acting mixed in with a poorly written script, boring characters, ridiculous rooms (frozen lake indoors Right! ), cliche plot, with an extremely lackluster ending. The movie has a lot of loop holes, lots of predictable elements, (Why would you spoil the entire movie in the first scene?) Seeing Ben alone in the movie's first scene already tells you what to expect. Very few plot twists and the riddles throughout the film are not viewer friendly at all, so we can't speculate the answers. When you see movies like this, the major things that attract you are "the way people die" & how they get to solve the puzzles" and honestly both of them were sillier than I expected. If you're calling this an escape room, players should die because of playing it wrong but most players died in accidents. How did a fish hole appear precisely where Ben threw the lighter? Picks the lighter, pauses for like 5 secs with the stare & all... Even a kid knows something is about to go down. How did Zoey get the oxygen mask? So the designers/game masters would keep an oxygen mask in view while trying to suffocate them? Perfect! The sequel set up at the end is so blatantly desperate. Overall the movie has a good concept just like the exam or more like the belko experiment but the execution is far from being good. Hopefully the sequel will be better! My opinion..? Cheap scare movie! If you want a movie that looks like horror but is not horror... Go for it. I just finish watching this movie now now, i don't rate it highly. |

Isomerizm: He wouldn't. If Ned himself had met, one on one with a walker before that execution, he wouldn't have decapitated that deserter. Very true, the story of white walkers then was like a rumour, myth or legend. So even Ned couldn't believe him and had to cut his head off for desertion. |

Nicolars: Honestly, the reason Jon contributed little to Jamie's trial is that he never really cared... It wasnt about being a man or woman.. That's just Jon's personal character, to top it, he was disturbed. I'm sure dany would care less about Jamie if she had heard about Jon's heritage as well
Sometimes don't look at a person's reaction to something from the gender view, we do some things because of our personal character not because we're male or female.
If we're to honestly look at Jamie's trial scene, that trial was unnecessary, were they going to kill him if Brienne didn't testify for him.. It was just stupid.. That trial wasn't important. It wasn't stupid, didn't you watch Tyrion's trail at the eyrie? |

Blockdock90: The characters in the book AREN'T RIGHTLY represented in the show. There has been A LOT of character modification. There is EVEN GREATER deviation from the book's plot. In the book Sansa isn't raped by Ramsay or anyone, neither was she married to him. Sansa is also Little finger's bastard daughter. In the book Khal drogo didn't rape Danny on their wedding night. He actually asked to have sex with her. In the book Brienne didn't rescue Sansa. Also Tyrion isn't the noble good man that he is portrayed to be in the show. There is no Melissandre and Grey worm love story as she is only 10 years old in the book. I could go on and on.
As the show progressed the plot grew more and more different from the book's plot, but with few similarities. But from season 5, the writers of the show finally said FUÇK YOU to the book and began to write what they liked. So all the current feminist tripe that we are getting in recent seasons IS SOLELY from the writers of the show and have nothing to do with the book. Besides, the book isn't even complete yet. I know about the deviations from the book, but Ned was also killed in the book, same with Robb. But was Jaime incapacitated in the book? Was Theon's c*ck cut in the books? Didn't Jorah continue to act as a subordinate to Dany? Was Dany not powerful and arrogant in the books? Did Cersei became a Queen in the book? Was Grey worm's d*ck cut in the books? These are some of the things i want to know. |
TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by oyetpel(m): 11:58pm On Apr 24, 2019 |
Blockdock90: What lots of people do not realise is that after the character Arya lost her virginity, thousands of young girls who have idolized Arya since the beginning of the show will also be eager to lose theirs in similar manner. It's basic human psychology. Humans tend to imitate the actions of people they admire and since the brains of humans can't really differentiate between a character and the actor playing the role this makes it even more likely. Hence why I'm skeptical of the intentions of the writers for including that scene and directing it the way they did.
I find it funny how people say: Just watch the show for entertainment and stop pointing out stupid shit. These people don't have an iota of an idea about how movies and shows shape human behavior, especially that of young people. This isn't even debatable. It's a known fact in the fields of psychology and social science. And there have been few examples in recent times. In the movie The Program, there was a scene where a character was lying down on a yellow line in the middle of the road while cars drove past him at the sides. It served as a test of bravery. Then other characters joined him. After the movie was released there were cases of people dying and getting injured because they were trying to imitate what they saw the characters do in the movie. There is also the example of how the movie Deer Hunter inspired lots of people to play the deadly game of Russian Roulette because characters in the movie played the game.
Saying a movie is to be watched just for the entertainment value is just like saying a book should be read just for entertainment. I mean, that's what you'd expect a child to say, but an adult? Really? So a person should read Animal Farm just for entertainment and ignore the fact that the book was highlighting the flaws of the communist ideology? Similarly, so I should just watch GOT solely for entertainment purposes and ignore its glaring themes?
Give me a break! There is nothing the producers will do on the show they you won't attach to people doing the same or say brain washing. Don't you know young people around you try to coping or act the way you behave? (i have young people around me who wants to be like me) Don't you know you yourself copy consciously and unconsciously what famous people do? |
