The Special Adviser to Governor Ibikunle Amosun on General Duties, Mr. Osinowo Ibrahim, says some leaders of the All Progressives Congress worked to ensure the victory of Buruji Kashamu of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Ogun-East senatorial election. Ibrahim said in a statement on Tuesday, that it was the betrayal by the APC leaders that caused the party to have a poor outing in Ogun-East. He said that it was unfortunate that despite the numerous projects inaugurated by Amosun in Ogun-East, people could betray the governor. He, therefore, vowed that those who betrayed the party would be punished. He said, “Our poor performance in the last National Assembly, governorship and state assembly elections in Ogun-East shows that we didn’t appreciate the governor and his efforts. I call on all the party leaders that worked for the PDP, especially those that worked for Kashamu and Wale Alausa’s group to prepare to reap from their ungrateful attitude to Amosun and the APC. “We have facts of some self-acclaimed APC leaders that collaborated with Kashamu/PDP to deny our party the victory at the senatorial polls, likewise the governorship and state assembly elections, despite the strong support the governor showed to our district.” Ibrahim promised Amosun continuous support of the people of Ijebu-Ode and Ogun-East senatorial district. Ibrahim said the people of Ijebu-Ode and the people of Ogun East know that Amosun remains the best choice for the state. The statement read, “I am very sure they love Governor Amosun and his government, but some unfaithful elements that are working for the Social Democratic Party and the PDP have portrayed the people of the area as ungrateful elements and betrayed the governor by selling their votes.”

Convicted Soldiers. I use this medium to appeal to President Goodluck Jonathan to use his power as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to release some soldiers who are currently in military confinement for various allegations about their encounter with the Boko Haram terrorists. These soldiers who could not resist the fire power of the insurgents and only escaped to survive the massacre of the sect should be considered for the amnesty of the President. Such leniency from the President as a parting gift would further consolidate his name in gold in the annals of Nigeria’s history. These soldiers would live to appreciate him as long as they live for saving them the trauma of their various jail terms. They will be useful to this country with the skills they have acquired in there careers |

Where are the children of our top political office contenders? Nigerians should better wake up and realize that we are being used by our politicians whos deceitful penchants can not even deceive my 3 years old daughter. If you like cause confusion in the entire nation because your preference in the presidential candidature wasn't declared winner, the people that will suffer it is you and I leaving the children of the benefitting politicians to survive and continue lording over us. It is the same people from 1960 till date yet someone will want to force down 'transformation' or 'change' down my throat. I ask again, what is the difference between 6 and half a dozen? Breaking it further to a clearer perspective, a Modu Sheriff after his Boko Haram complicity dumped APC and TRANSFORMED to PDP, a Chinwoke Mbadinuju after his thievery and serial murders in Anambra State dumped PDP and CHANGED to APC. What do they take us for Nigerians? Fill in the blanks and stop all these political brouhahas |
