Politics / Re: Former State Governor Arrested For Graft by OyinlolaO(f): 11:54am On Feb 25, 2010
i think we should start from the Top. those in power who are doing thier evil deeds now, why after they have spent half and left the office. the dude is probably established for life from what he has stashed away.

P.s: lets say a prayer for our country everyday, we soooooooooooo need it.

Politics / Re: Nigeria: Power Crisis And Prosperity by OyinlolaO(f): 12:58pm On Nov 03, 2009
corruption is one thing,
poor leadership is another thing
lack of intelligence another
                     but
selfishness and greed OMG!!!! u can never see beyond ur nose if u have these and oh we do have it in great proportions. this is the source of misappropriation of funds which = no money = no moving forward = going backward instead = Nigeria.

with people like us who care i see a tiny (hardly visible) light at the end of the tunnel but My God its so faint i wonder when its eventually going to shine.

Education / Re: Presidency To Probe Mass Failure In SSCE, NECO Exams by OyinlolaO(f): 12:18pm On Nov 03, 2009
well i'm not surprised. how many students do u see walking on the streets in broad daylight when they should be in school. all educational ethics are upheld only in private schools now, from primary school to our universities anything government is a write-off.
-teachers/lecturers are not properly motivated.
-students dont even have what it takes to be properly educated: labs without instruments, libraries without books, schools without computers (haba in this age and time)
-a system(including parents) thats corrupt from the grassroots that even common entrance can be settled without d child doing for exams
-and a government that cares less or doesnt even care(maybe they dont know dat education makes other countries better than us because they have an edge to be more productive & wiser)

it is not too late to retrace our steps because really they may not be our future but they are the future of Nigeria. i hope yar'adua and his gang really intend to do something about and please us for once.
Autos / Re: My Friends Car Was Stolen At Gun Point! by OyinlolaO(f): 10:41am On Nov 03, 2009
well my dads ( bought brand new a yr ago) was stolen about 2 months ago in Ogun state (Abeokuta). he was coming from church on sunday & a car parked in front of them,  4 guys came out surrounded the car they were all holding guns, the main guy went to my dads side of the window and pulled out his AK47 so my dad opened. they threw them (dad & driver) in a bush in the outskirts that took 45min to walk out off. they took everything from shoes my dads schneider pens.

to cut the long story short, the car tracking didnt work for about 2 weeks and when it did it was found in Burkina Faso it has passed through many hands, the car number has been changed & everything to make it look different. the saving grace is that the numbers on the side mirrors are the one on my dads papers. the case is still in court over there as my dads peeps keep going bakc for all the proceedings. the issues are
- insurance cant pay you anything till the are sure the car is really not retrieveable and believe me that takes 4eva.
- GPS/ tracking device might lead u to a place u cant even afford to go
- if it has been sold u gonna burn cash on retrieving the vehicle via court cases & legal bills.
- the time while u remain carless and inconvenienced if u dont have any other car.
-if you ever get the car back or will it be a total loss.

The best thing is not to experience it because our security in Nigeria is bad even if it is in ur neighborhood people are not vigilant and we are not really our brothers keeper enough to keep an eye for stolen things announced on TV or the radio.

Romance / Re: Why Are Some Guys So Dumb {no Offence} by OyinlolaO(f): 10:57pm On Jan 04, 2008
that was really rude sylvao, if u dont think d topic interesting enough u dont have to comment sometimes keeping quiet is a blessing. i'm suprised it was even posted.  very sweet of nellydlaw to stand up for the lady i respect that. ANYWAYS to throw urself at a man is'nt such a good idea, try to notice if he likes u at all if not move on if so let him know u like him too in a modest more reciprocal way. but from the looks of it prepare 4 d worst.
