PoliticsRe: UNIPORT Lecturers Opt-out Of Rivers Re-run Election Over Wike’s Warning by Oz4realsss: 10:26am On Mar 08, 2016
ddippset:
trash! If the pdp in Katsina presents a credible Hausa-Fulani man as governorship candidate, the people will vote for him if they prefer him to the apc candidate. Same applies to rivers. The ex governor, senators, reps, assembly members were all of the apc. APC would put up a good show in rivers state anytime. Rivers is not Obio akpor alone, where all the IPOB touts live. So stop f00ling yourself.
He said "RIG" and not credible election. Take sense!

So you didn't know Katsina had a PDP governor? You must be high on something. The people of River state are not fixated on any party. Thay can change anytime. Else, why the election at all?
The watch word there is "RIG". Can you then name the PDP governor that was rigged into office in Katsina?

Corruption is the reason why pdp could never defeat boko haram. All funds were diverted to private pockets.

Corruption is the major factor why pdp could never construct any new road in its entire 16yrs of leadership

Corruption is the reason why none of our universities are in the top 100 universities in the world

Corruption is the reason why almajiri's are in the streets begging, 50million are living in poverty and over 20million youth are without jobs at home doing nothing....

Need I go on? Like Mr President said, it is either we kill corruption or corruption will kill us. No matter the wonderful ideas or policies govt may have, corruption will rubbish it completely!
Can corruption kill corruption? Don't be deceived, PDP and APC are all corruption personified including your "Mr. President".

Tell him to build strong institutions that are liberalised and truly independent and see if corruption will not drop drastically.

Why do people relate anything Northerner to Islam?

In dis case it's the negligence from their leaders, which they have neglected their responsibilities to develop dis part of the country upon their dominance in government

And the youths are not helping matter with their "Baba say".. until the youths wakes-up by stop worshipping their leaders am afraid nothing will change.

Don't know much about their culture but ignorance is playing a big role on this population matter.

Leave Islam out of it.

PoliticsRe: Reuters Rips Buhari In Scathing Article. by Oz4realsss:
Adminisher:
This article needs an intellectual to understand. You are a tape recorder programmed to type those six words.
" the bureaucracy lacks depth". Do you understand what that means?. GEJ stripped the civil service of ability to function as the FG was completely privatised. I know for instance that Okonjo was working with only international consultancy companies throughout -like Mckinsey whilst turning the bureaucracy to mere file pushers. Jonathan's government also stripped the ministries of files and key information. Buhari is actually building a government from the scratch.
As you rightly said, every well written article needs intellectual capacities to understand.

However, it is a pity that you too did not understand it from the skewed interpretation you provided. What you quoted was from a senior Government source and not the submission of the report.

The reporter is only saying that Buhari's grand policy of reform is fading with a disfunctional bureaucracy and an increasingly centalized power in his remote presidency. This can be found in the summary of the report.

Whether the reporter is right or not is another line of argument.

I hope this will help.

Hmmm. Comprehension problem at play. kind refer the passage to the originating journalist or the OP and suggest your own title to them. you never can tell, they may be open to use a title that will make u happy.
Yes, there is a very big comprehension problem at play here and whether the title makes me happy or not is inconsequential.

I will like you to follow these lines of thought logically. Did the report establish whether there was a protest? Yes, it did. Can same be said about the existence of the "Governor's perfume" levy? No, it only alleged. Mind you, I am referring to the submission of the reporter and not the opinions expressed by some of the protesters.

What you should fear for is the poor level of Reading Comprehension.

It was written by Punch newspaper and not the Nation Newspaper....

Or APC has taken ownership of Punch?

By the way, it's too early for these women to protest naa...afterall, it's just perfume....he will soon tax them to fund his children's marriages
The headline is different from the submission of the reporter. Below is the summary of the report by the reporter which is clearly stated in the the first paragraph.

HUNDREDS of women from Mile Three Market in Diobu, Port Harcourt marched to the Government House in Port Harcourt in protest against an alleged multiple taxation, which includes a tax for governor’s perfume.

The report only alleged which is different from what the headline painted. I hope you can now see why the headline is fallacious?

In this case, you are the one that is deceived by your poor reading and comprehension skills. The reporter clearly stated his findings in his summary. It is your cup of tea to accept whatever you like including this headline that does not in anyway reflect the submission of the reporter. An alleged case can never be an established fact.

HUNDREDS of women from Mile Three Market in Diobu, Port Harcourt marched to the Government House in Port Harcourt in protest against an alleged multiple taxation, which includes a tax for governor’s perfume.

What is wrong with the emboldened if it is not a statement by one Gift?

The emboldened above is the summary of the entire report by the reporter. It never established the existence of any "Governor’s perfume". It only alleged it.

Enough of this gibberish about comparing Nigeria to America. In the US, you can visibly identify the numerous infrastructural developments that account for the debt profile you ignorantly referred to. Can you then show us the infrastructures that make up these mountainous debts in Nigeria?

...and you have long one!
here is a theory on how ₦=$ can you proof me wrong.
....there are very many commentary on depreciation of ₦ nowadays expecially in parallel market, although parallel or black market can be manipulated by the traders, they either do it on their self interest, so those who doesn't beleive in the prosperity of nigeria can harbour $ as they can on imported goods hereby cause hike!
But in my own point of view the depreciation of ₦ is a great success to this nation if well manage to nigeria situation today. the looted fund is in $ and it must be refunded back in $, so if $1 is ₦198 when the money is looted, then if the money is refund today at $1 to ₦350 the nation has gained ₦152!
imagine if $1=₦1000, the gain is ₦902!
So in conclusion if the government managed to refund the $trillion looted and the refunded money, change it in parallel market, this will reduce the pressure on ₦ and the scarcity of $ in parallel market so the ₦=$.

(take note all the money took out of CBN during jonathan regime were changed in parallel market before ditributed)

you have other opinion?
Which Government will recover the looted funds? Is it this one that was sponsored by looted funds from Amaechi and co?
You masturbate about Jonathan's Government and pretend not to see corruption in Obasanjo's Government. What was Obasanjo's worth before 1999 and what is his worth today? How did he did become so rich?

We are talking about provision of 24hrs electricity supply to Nigeria, far and wide. It takes a lot of money in investment.
I bought my first MTN line for N27K, even with all the teething ache in the industry then, that same line is just now about N150.
You will never make an omelette without breaking a egg.
Yes, we want a 24 hour electricity supply but never to be funded by the poor for the very rich who own the gencos and the discos. Will they also share the ownership with the poor after our money has been used to expand and upgrade the facilities?

You buying your first MTN line for N27K is a typical example of the unethical behaviour you are subscribing to again. Yea, to make omelette, you must break egg. For our power supply industry to work, the real professionals and investors must be allowed. You can never get a different result when you keep repeating the same strategy.
