In Most of the local govts, the citizens are left on their own to fend for themselves most likely from farming activities. Imagine that and now are also unsafe because of insecurity.
When I heard about the Catholic pupils kidnapped in Niger state and as soon as their names came out, I had to check on the map of Nigeria if there was any relationship with that in Kebbi state, lo and behold , they are in the same Axis . I wish the gov allow the chairmen to have full LG autonomy

A very dire situation we find ourselves.
Most of this places are out of touch. What is obtainable in many LG today , the gov in most of the states take what is meant for the local govt.all they do is pay salaries of local govt workers who in most cases don't see reasons they should go to work except when it's time for salary payment.
The rest of the money in a way are syphon by the gov and the stooges they planted there called LG chairman. Check the FAAC allocation to this very local govt from month of January down to October, go there and check if what is on ground is a quarter of the revenue the govt obtained.

yes ooo.very apt, but the gain from those reforms na only the political class (especially governors) e dey show for them body. Also to our salary, u made me poorer than I was 5/6/7/8 years ago despite several promotions while the gains from such reforms were handed over to the governors to waste and they continue wasting as we speak. What I could easily buy 2/3M naira 3years ago, I will need around 8-10M now to acquire same and na only 33k naira u add to salary and my kind of job is not the type I will just go sit in office doing next to noting ooo, I see people to ensure they are physically, mentally and socially ok and at the end of the day, I have got no other time to do side hustle.omo civil servants aren't happy ooo and am very sure , am speaking for a whole lot of people.

People should learn to do what is right. Dumping refuse everywhere and anywhere is an irresponsible act. If every home patronises and pays the registered refuse collectors instead of the cart pushing abokis, our environment will be cleaner.

on point 💯% .where available, i don't see why people shouldn't be paying cash for proper refuse disposal. The Govt too should be sincere with the citizens. You can not make a policy on subsidy and forex, and the only people benefitting from the gain are majorly the political class.
People Earning like 200k before the petrol and forex subsidy were removed u now said u are making a minimum wage to address the reality on ground and what you added was just a token of 33k, however, for the political class going to construct road or buy things, they always talk about how they will need more money for those project because of naira /dollar devaluation. In September 2025, the admiral decided to develop his land, and after about a week, the Development Control Council came around and asked for the documents and building approval

The engineer showed them.

After two days, they came back and stated that the land had been revoked by the current FCT Minister with no conditions provided.

Efforts have been made to reach out to him to ask why.

But they proffered no concrete or genuine reasons.

Then they came to stop the work, which prompted us to pursue them.

The Minister came around on Saturday and issued enough threats stating that they were coming to bring the building down.

Earlier yesterday, around 11 AM, two bulldozers from Development Control came to bring the building down, but we refused them.

Despite all efforts being abortive

He came down himself, and that's when we blocked him from the entrance and did not grant him access to the facility.

He had to call the Chief of Defense Staff and reported the matter.
