It's not a must that all project come from his pocket. Him facilitating them is not a bad thing.

Even Gbaja does that in Surulere too. Using your position to influence developments in your constituency is not out of place

Just give credit to the funding agencies as well.

Politics / Re: Petrol Landing Cost Hits N1,000/litre On FX Crisis by ozo13(m): 7:40am On Feb 15
nairalanda1:
If one has been following this thing for as long as I have, you would see that we are paying a subsidy.

1.APC apologists cry that fuel is not being subsidised...well it is. Landing cost was N720 as at October, now it is N1000..meaning subsidy costs rose from N20-140 to N300-420 per liter today. We are pushing ourselves into more debt so see where we are

2.IN 2012 january, landing cost was N99 per liter, now it is N1000. Fuel price was N97 per liter now it is N580-720.

Assuming Nigeria kept fuel at N97 per liter as some PDP apologists wanted , by now subsidy would have risen from N2 per liter to N920 per liter ...and note that fuel consumption has risen over the years.

We would have a debt that would make our current debt look like the pocket money you give your 10 year old.

See how much subsidy costs? But all of you, be it PDP or APC or LP, many of you want it.

Oya, come and get your fuel at N97....lol.

MOdified

I find it amusing some people think I support APC because of this comment. APC is still paying subsidy, meanwhile I oppose payment of subsidy....so apparently I am an aAPC supporter.

See, I don't get NIgerians. Someone is supporting something that is in opposition to the party in power, yet is a supporter of the party.

I pray God opens your eyes to see what I see, all ye who quote me, then you will understand there is a method to my madness.
a military guy in border state to another country told us two weeks ago while gisting that petrol smuggling to neighboring countries from Nigeria had begun again. That the smugglers get the 650naira fuel here and divert it to Niger republic and sell each litre for more than a thousand naira. That was when it becomes clear to me that something was wrong somewhere likely subsidy regime had began again.Another thing I noticed is that alot of filling station that were selling fuel suddenly stop selling again meaning they are the one involved in smuggling business to another country.all they need do is to bribe security guys at the border. We are in a complex situation

Government in nigeria in all levels run in secretcy..no body knows how much is given to the state government, local government and what federal government collects...all of them operate in secrets...no transparency, no accountability...due to lack of local government autonomy. and operation of joint account nobody knows how much the state government gives the local government from the allocation the state government receive from federal government..that is why the LGA areas villages communities are not developed due to lack of sufficient funds for development
I remembered back then in 2003/2004 we see it on paper every month about state and local govt allocation.my local govt use to receive 70M naira back then on monthly basis and we could see what the money were meant for.Now the funny governors collect the stuff, put caretakers chairmaen there and give them chicken change and pay percentage salaries to the local govt workers .imagine someone receiving 10thousand naira as percentage salary every month.Meaning the governor is just telling them to do their worst since he isn't bothered if they abandoned there duty post

You can never find a northern graduate who is jobless. They'd put him somewhere and support him gradually to grow. But our southern leaders see young graduates as competition. That is why many of them are useless after their time in public office.

If the former attorney general used his money to establish businesses for his people to employ them, he has ingratiated himself to his people. Those same people may resist the government from taking over the assets. I still do not support looting, but investing the loot to help people is a way of protecting the loot.

As a person, we do not need much, let us help those who are in need by establishing businesses.

For example, we can have a fruit and yam powder packaging factory in Benue State. We can be sending trucks of refrigerated meat from Kano to all parts of the country. We can establish gravel processing plants in Kogi State and export gravel to different countries. We can establish ethanol processing plants in states producing starchy crops.

Nigeria is too rich, I just wish the ministers would have the brains to use their heads for the good of the nation.
this picture was in 2020 I had it.every blessed evening of week days and morning of weekends people are always there playing football and socializing

The problems we currently face stem from years of the locusts eating into our commonwealth.

All the money we made in the past was used to wet the appetite of the already rich and the elites. How many poor people have seen dollars in their lives?

What is even more painful is that now that deliberate decisions are being taken to stop subsidizing the consumption appetite of the rich, the poor are suffering.

You steal money. Contribute what you stole to buy buses to transport the poor at affordable rates for them. Use your loot to open factories and employ the poor and pay them decent wages. Use part of your loot to contribute to state governments to build projects like roads and get equity from it for life. Use part of the loot to import machines that can be used to work for your nation. Use part of your loot to train people to aquire the needed skills for nation building.

Looting money and stashing them abroad makes you look silly. Buying useless properties abroad even makes you more silly.

I do not support looting, but if you loot without putting your loot to good use within the country and your people are destitute, one day, they'd rise against you and neither you nor your children will enjoy your loot.

the immediately past attorney general of the federation from kebbi state comes to mind.I don't know how he became very rich Sha under that 8yrs of Buhari govt but there are lots of projects he established in his state (he got his rice farm/factory now and his rice is in the market here in kebbi , there is this gigantic structure (company) I got to know belongs to him yesterday when I pass through it in Kebbi, he already got a university, standard primary and secondary school here.He got a mall , a hotel and a futball arena with swimming pool, eatery, radio station all in Kebbi state.i learnt he got lots of businesses in places like Abuja, sokoto, Kano.
Like I said I don't know how he got his money during Buhari Tenure but to tell you someone from my town was the attorney general under Jonathan before this same guy and noting ,not even any of his business in my home town or say state and he was still in efcc custody for a while before he was released by the court and just last month I think the efcc told us they got no malabu oil deal case with him anymore.Same Malami gave plenty of his people good positions in CBN,efcc(immediate efcc chairman from kebbi) firs, nnpc .
The northern political class know what they are doing whenever they got opportunity in that Abuja and others will be forming protocol when it comes to helping there people.Na why the northern guys choke Abuja in good positions while others from south and Middle belt are forming protocols for there own people.

good point .that means something is fundamentally wrong either the camera showing the lady is average height or the board is too big for such purpose

Dey catch cruise. From the pic her height is even somehow more than an average height so she should contact the school management to lower the height of the board. An elderly teacher will find it difficult using same method to teach the school pupils. They need solution as not everyone will be able to climb chair to teach
