@Talksub, so sorry for your refusal, In my opinion these days, they prefer a relation (with same surname) inviting you than friends, so if you have a relation, you can use the person. Secondly, what was your arrangement for accomodation ? this is part of your "purpose of visit", you need to book accomodation covering your stay there if you didn't but don't make payments, even though the person you plan to visit will accomodate you, reason being maybe the tenancy agreement of your friend doesn't permit squatting. Also factor the accomodation fee in your total amount for travel. Lastly, visit or tourism as a purpose during winter doesn't look very convincing to be honest, because most people living there don't go out due to extreme weather conditions except when neccessary, and therefore tourist attractions drop this period ,So you may need more than tourism purpose for visiting. Also people come back home this period cos of the weather and Xmas holidays, not usually the other way around, VO's know this... Hope this helps.... Talksub:% 1 Like |

Ruben225571: Hi Ruben 1. if you have done biometrics, it usually takes 24 to 48hrs to be linked. 2. processing time is generic , currently it's 65 days averagely for 80% of applications. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html |

lynkyinka:1. WES does not require or have your passport 2. Your certificate I believe won't carry your DOB 3. Chances are your Transcript may have your DOB, find out. 4. Which DOB did you submit when creating your WES profile ? 5. Since WAEC isn't needed anymore, and am assuming your documents evaluation is still ongoing, am assuming it will not be used except they cite a difference with what you submitted when opening your WES profile. 1 Like |

Influential101: @ify2016, I think the above suggestion is your best bet, so find out if your school includes DOB on transcripts, if they don't, you may still need to inform your school of the mistake and follow your school procedures to modify it because I feel during the verification process, WES may request for your DOB from your school if not present. DOB is one of the checks they need to verify you are the rightful owner of the credentials. |

debbie131: Congratulations Debbie, and thanks for sharing with us, your application was very brief in docs and straight to the point, however it took long to be processed almost 4months but in the end, you are good to go. Got just 1 question , did the recruitment event send you an invitation letter ? |

Awani007: @Awani007, My advice is do it yourself, I did it myself, saves you money and false hope, I have never used an agent for any visa application, but I have heard more negative stories of agents than those who did on their own from friends and family. There are good agents who know what they are doing but they are very very few. |

@wearasmile, sorry for your refusal, read my suggestions to Kenny above, one or two info will help. However I have some questions for you. 1. What was your purpose for applying ? 2. Is it just you and spouse that wanted to travel living children behind ? 3. Travel history, apart from your current passports biopage, visa stamps, you need to scan, border stamps as well if you didn't initially. If you have previous passports with stamps, you scan as well to build travel history. 1 Like 1 Share |

@Kenny First of, purpose of visit, financial ish, and family ties are all inter related. The fact that you are going for "vacation" with whole family without an invitation from a family member or friend over there makes your application mostly dependent on the strength of your families ties to nigeria. Assuming you had an invitation letter from family or friend in canada it would reduce the load or ties expected of you from Nigeria. Family ties to naija : Below, @Makylove101, has given suggestions to how to beef up family ties in Nigeria. Because from the documents submitted for your daughter her ties are stronger in U.S. than Nigeria. She needs docs that associate her with naija. Furthermore when filling the family information form, hope you and hubby declared all your siblings and parents and ticked they're not accompanying you? this also beefs ties to naija.(some people don't declare all their siblings, some give wrong birth date of siblings, this can hunt you if that sibling has traveled before you) If you and hubby have "more" properties , building, land, even cars sef etc in both your names, or any of your names, add them. Employment, I did not see where any of you submitted leave letters, Leave letter is key in your case because your employer and hubbies employer are creating evidence to the VO that you have to come back in 2weeks to continue your job. shows commitment to Nigeria. it could easily replace the invitation letter you don't have from Canada.. makylove101: Purpose of Visit: Did you book a return ticket for 2weeks? Is your landing date, your start date for your hotel booking or accomodation as well as your day of check out, is it same day you exit canada? If there are discrepancies here, VO will think you are upto something fishy....lol Your sight seeing itinerary, is it detailed with dates location etc and under your budget? because if you want to see a place in Ontario and also in British Columbia for example, remember you will need to likely fly down, VO will peep into your funds again to see if it's adequate, the more provinces you visit, the more money you should have. Finance: I noticed your personal funds aren't sufficient enough for you and daughter, your husbands funds are sufficient it needs to be officially stated who is responsible for sponsoring the whole trip. Better still your husband will write a letter stating he will be responsible for all financial expenses of his family then VO is cleared. Now if you add your statement of account it only becomes a bonus, but if no letter to state who is sponsoring the family, VO can get confused, they know sometimes married couples don't agree lol ... A letter from your husbands bank stating he is free of debt and all funds are readily available is an advantage. instead of 4months Bank statement, you can give 6months just to prove beyond doubt to the VO. Your husbands payslips or stubs since he is the sponsor is needed it makes the VO understand how much he earns monthly then makes tracing into bank statement easy. Finally, when filling the form under how much you need, since hubby is sponsor, for your self and hubby make sure it is consistent, for example $10,000 CAD, in his form and yours too... Additional docs: if you have registered businesses with CAC, scan the front page and add, scan your highest credentials, include a family picture, then write a letter of explanation, identifying previous denials with reasons and how your current situation has changed in terms of sufficient documents submitted and the importance of the vacation to your family. I no be agent oo lol but I believe this should pull through. |

kennyliza: @Kenny, you mean me today ooo lol i am afraid that the primary applicant success or failure has a great influence on the secondary applicants as the the fate of the primary applicant can determine the fate of the secondary especially when the P.A. is the sponsor. Anyway, I think first things first is to share the list of documents you submitted for the previous application. Because for me personally I can't tell what went wrong but definitely something around your finances is not right and supporting documents I guess. I believe other elders who have more experience will give you answers here after you share your documents submitted. |

Abubuyaya: @Abubuyaya, bless you too. I think giving birth is an emergency, so therefore you have a clear case of dual intent which canada supports, going by this I think you should be fine with having both approved successfully , but still delay the the post ITA documents submission till the fiftieth plus days to be well assured. Note: don't forget to add you are pregnant when submitting for PR if not already included. Wishing you Goodluck. 1 Like |

henryvic: Successful Applications recieve Original Passport request Letter between 24 to 48hrs of recieving correspondence letter or BVL, while longer "may" likely mean it wasn't successful judging thus far from members of this thread and their application journey. Note: it's just an observation and not 100% Valid. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Abubuyaya: this is more like choosing between temporary and permanent residence I think permanent residence is more important, so focus on it. Canada supports dual intent, however if you have already submitted for trv there is a higher tendency they will deny because trv visa is saying you are Going temporarily to come back but PR is saying you want to settle there....So a VO having inputed your UCI number, may think if granted visit visa, you will not come back since you have shown interest to settle. If the visit reason is an emergency or something of high importance with adequate proof you could be granted. Another scenario is, if your trv application has gone far in processing and you are positive to get approved, you submit your PR application at the dine days, you may be lucky the PR factor wont affect it... but this is a very dicy scenario. Also, if you apply for the visit and get denied, remember you will have to update it on your PR application and you know this isn't good to add to it A successful PR still gets you a 1year visa from medicals date, for pr landing although in about 6months, 60days time. So you may need to ponder all this scenarios and choose which cross you can bear... |
Travel / Re: Business Visa From Nigeria To Canada by Ozzz: 9:43am On Nov 20, 2019 |
henryvic: I second this.. But the issue is Exploratory visa , including the Nigerian factor seems generic, it all balls down to how well we can prove and convince the VO that we are indeed for this purpose. Currently, Indians topping the immigration list by far in canada, because they are their brothers keeper, they help each other. Imagine if ibos dominate Canada with their businesses legally, it will be easy for them to send job offers to family and friends for immigration purposes. |

Gbemzow: @Gbemzow, your paper application is quite fast ooo, Judging from the processing time for paper applications since mid year, I think you should go to vfs if it's convenient for you but carry the printout slip and passport photocopy page, irrespective of the decision it's better to get it fast than after 100 days in December or January. To be honest that bvl dropping since 13th dey fear me for you, but nothing God cannot do. I wish you success. |

@kenny So sorry for the refusal, their reasons seem straight forward, it's difficult for me or anyone to know the reasons especially when we don't know what documents you submitted and your exact situation, however we can try. answering these few questions honestly could lead to a resolution hopefully. 1. Did you apply separately or together ? 2.Was this an online application ? 3.If you applied together, who was the primary applicant and sponsor? 4.The previous denial of your husband, did you tick yes he was denied before ? and did you explain further the reasons for the previous denial , and also if yes, did you get a solution in this new application to the previous reason he was denied ? When it comes to previous denials and reapplying, I read, if your situation has not changed, do not reapply, meaning if you have not found solution to the previous problem, the problem remains present and decision won't change. As for family ties to Canada, am beginning to feel they want you to have somebody or better still a relation inviting you over for the vacation. (I maybe wrong) This thing is just psychology they use. kennyliza: |

nasohian:@nasohian, you need to read this thread all answers are there. However 1. Currently processing time is 69days 2. Biometrics invite will come within 24 to 48hrs after submission, the earlier you do it the faster your application is attended to. 3.At biometrics collection and if your application is approved for stamping. Other times, you are with your passport. 4.15 days averagely but if fast, 8days. Note: this is for online application 1 Like |
