Army2022: Good morning NL family, I'm asking this question for the fourth time please I am pleading with all the experienced persons here to help with an answer. **IRCC requested I resubmit my application with all my documents through webform. ** As it's not possible to merge all these documents to 3.5mb (POF, Fam info, Digital photo, Int'l passport,LOA, Client info and Imm5257)
Is it advisable for me to submit the files one after the other...that is 7 webforms? I'll really appreciate everyone's contribution. May God grant all of us ppr in Jesus name Amen. Have you tried compressing the merged files? |

talk2priscal: Good evening Gurus in the house, kindly put me through on this. I am supposed to resume sch this winter. My passport has been stamped already but for some personal reasons, I deferred my admission to September 2023
So do I need to inform IRCC about the latest development? What do I tell them if I may ask Will my passport be Re stamped ? Thank you guys If it’s more than 150 days, you should inform them. You just have to send the new LOA and tell them you deferred your admission to Fall 2023. No, your passport won’t be re-stamped as the stamped on is still valid until expiration. |

Paulmobo: Sorry for the long post guys, Good morning all.
PPR alert.
2nd time applicant
Good morning guys, I’ve been a silent reader since the previous thread. I learnt a whole lot on this thread and I say a big thank you to all those who take out time from their busy schedule to answer questions that people ask and help out in whatever little way they can.
My Canadian travel dream was birthed in 2018, I was applying to lambton college and one of the requirements then was ielts. I travelled to port harcourt for ielts exam and actually forgot my international passport in delta state where I was residing (my village people right ) and was not permitted to write the exam, na so my money take loss . I sha moved on to other things and found myself aspiring to japa again after seeing how our beloved country was not countrying.
I gained admission to canadore college in September 2021 and had to wait to get a new passport because mine was expiring soon before applying for the study permit. I applied for the study permit on the 16th of January and after waiting for so long that I felt like I was losing my mind, the heartbreaking refusal message came my way on the 2nd of August 2022. Omo I was highly devastated and depressed for a minute but i immediately applied for my GCMS notes which came out in less than 2 weeks and after seeing the visa officer’s concern stating my employment letter on file but no proof of income because I didn’t submit my own account statement, I started planning to apply again but had to wait because my sponsor who is my mum had executed contracts and my pof would have been lacking cause majority of the funds for pof was coming from her accounts. Fast forward to November 12 2022 I reapplied, my previous medical was updated on the 5th of December after sending one webform the previous day and the rest Is history because God perfected what he started.
What I did differently 1) I submitted my own statement of account. 2) My mum did a gift deed for which I only wrote a letter of gift deed and we both signed on it. 3) I wrote a letter of explanation which contained detailed explanations for every lump sum deposit in both mine and my sponsor’s account with documents to back them up. I also explained in this same letter the previous officer’s concern and what I was doing differently in this application to tackle it. 4) I prayed and fasted.
The joy I felt after receiving my ppr is immeasurable and I pray that everyone waiting would experience same feeling in Jesus’s name AMEN. Please if you can apply for your study permit yourself, I’ll advise you do. The first time I was refused, I used an agent but this time around I did it myself after gaining valuable insights from here and YouTube as well. I’m definitely not advocating against agents cause this thing stressful small sha but if you can do it yourself please take your time and make sure there’s no rush in your mind cause Canada study permit application will test your patience
Time line First application submitted January 16 2022 Biometrics February 16 2022 Upfront medicals February 17 2022 Medicals updated to pass March 03 2022 Application Refused August 02 2022
2nd application submitted November 12 2022 Medicals updated to pass December 05 2022 Eligibility review still ongoing January 10 2023 Ppr January 18 2023.

blueberryacres: Sorry for the late reply, I am confused by the samples of the SOP both on here and other places on the internet. My main concern is the home ties section. I just graduated from secondary school, so I really don't have anything tying me home apart from family. I would have just omitted that part but most people are mentioning that it is the most important part of the entire SoP. Anyone who can assist me with this should PLEASE contribute answers. I would've preferred to use an agent, but a lot of people are advising me against it. My email is in my signature. I will also suggest you don’t use an agent. Your family is also enough home tie/s for you since you’re very young and probably or going for undergraduate program. Peace |

eseh1: Pls my cousin's resumption was suppose to be Jan 13th, PPR came out Jan 09th and we are yet to receive the passport back from Abuja.
The school is saying he should defer the admission to September as he was unable to meet up with the resumption date in January. He has already booked his flight for month end.
Please have any1 been in this situation? Can he go to Canada if his passport comes back before end of the month as he has already booked his flight for month end?
Will he be allowed to be in canada till September?...
Please kindly advise. Yes he can, but how will he pay his bills without working till September? That’s what the immigration officer will like to know at the port of entry. Working is illegal until you must have started classes. And note that some airlines will ask for enrollment letter before boarding. Peace |

I am in a tight corner as my tuition deposit deadline at Humber College is fast approaching and my Form A was just recently declined by First bank after weeks of waiting. Reason being that they don't fund graduate certificate programs but bachelor's degree, masters n PhD. Now I want to initiate another Form A at a different bank but want to be sure of the successful outcome before I embark on it. Thanks Try Stanbic IBTC, UBA and GTB. blueberryacres: Sorry for the repeat it’s really urgent Hi again guys, What’s the difference between old portal and new portal? Which one is better to use? And please leave links to both. Also, if anyone could send a sample of the SoP to blueberryacres38@gmail.com as I’m now really confused. Thank you very much! I think the best thing to do is to ask someone if you can DM them, you the one looking for assistance instead of asking the person who wants to assist you to DM you. Confused about what exactly? Old portal allows you to submit merged documents of at most 4mb while the new portal is just 2mb. Old portal allows you to apply for family while on the new portal, you can’t. Type on google, GCKEY for old portal. New portal: Generate invitation code with this link https://ircc.canada.ca/visit-visiter/en/get-account-ircc-portalThen proceed to apply with https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=enType on the search bar samples of SOP, you should be able to get some. Peace. |

blueberryacres: Hi guys, When i get my study permit by the grace of God, can i enter Canada more than a month before my date of resumption? Also, what is enrollment letter? My friend that left early this month said the airport people were stressing him out because he didn’t have it and they nearly sent him back. Yes you can enter Canada more than a month before your start date, but note that you won’t work as it’s illegal to do so. Enrollment letter is a document given to you by your college to show that you have been enrolled into a DLI in Canada. It will end in praise. |

Maychic: My friend tried Dat last year, differed from may to September na from Lagos airport dem send am go back dat he can only travel at most one month to resumption Some airlines do request for enrollment letter or so and they might send you back without it. The best is just to wait a few weeks to start date, besides why the rush sef? |

Chechem: Goodmorning House, Does it matter if it takes long before I do biometrics? In my quest to travel once to Abuja from East to do both biometrics and medical, I am now in a dilemma.
I once applied for upfront medicals, got a date and paid but later pleaded with them to hold on for me so that I can get a date for biometrics and travel once, they agreed and asked me to inform them immediately I get a date for biometrics. I applied on the 12th and got a date for biometrics on 20th of January, I have been calling them since then, but it seem they nolonger want to grant me the request... I have tried to apply for the medicals online and the available date I am seeing is 1st of February. The gap is much, I cant stay in Abuja that long because of work and expenses.
The only option left for me is to reschedule the biometrics close to 1st of February, hence I am asking if it matters if I do biometrics like 3 week after applying for the study permit.
Please help with an urgent response. From the biometrics instruction letter, I think you have until 30 days to provide your biometrics or face automatic refusal, if there’s any reason you can’t provide it within 30 days, you should let them know. And again, not until you provide your biometrics, your application will not be under reviewed. You can wait for other’s input too. Goodluck |

Turns out my PPR was out as at the time I made the statement in quote, but I didn't get to know because I used an agent!
I also don't know when, or if eligibility started or passed. The agent is not the communicating type.
I gave them a whole lot of documents, I don't know exactly which was used, or not.
Bottom line is, IT ENDED IN PRAISE!!!
Thank you to everyone on this page who kept reassuring those waiting, it meant a lot coming on here to celebrate with others and get hopeful for my expectations!
For those still waiting, hold on, be strong, cos what God cannot do does not exist!!! Congratulations to you and yours. You really tapped well. |

Does this mean I can use a Nigerian debit card to make the payment? Except your dollar debit card, I’m not sure there’s any of the debit cards that has more than $20 as max limit. If you have a domiciliary account, you might want to go to your bank to request for a dollar debit card. Peace |
