Breaking News!!!

My application was refused this afternoon based on purpose of visit, insufficient funds and asset lol.

I'm going for a year course, tuition is 18,000 Cad out of which 10,000 Cad has been paid remaining 8,000 Cad.

I am self sponsor and going with 2 of my kids

Bank statement of almost 20M provided, pay stubs, employment letter, confirmation and promotion letters, my CAC documents registered 7 years ago, land documents valued at 30M etc.

I appreciate your well wishes and prayers.

I gave this application my best but sadly, it was not enough.

I am about to order for CBSA note to really understand their reasons for refusal.

Thank you all

I wish everyone still expecting PPR good news

Cheers
Wtf!!! Reading this broke my heart, I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending your lots of love. Don’t give up, when your notes arrive you’ll get in-depth reasons for the delay, you tackle and refire.

It will end in praise

Abeg help guys, can't even remember the procedure again.
After applying, do you wait to get invitation to book for an appointment for biometrics or you just go ahead to book.
Can’t remember the procedure you say? For second time applicant, they do not need to do biometrics again, only first time applicant and the biometrics letter will be sent to your portal after application fee must have been received.

Good luck

Thanks. My challenge will be if I will get a date for medical then that will be close o that of that of the biometrics.
You can go there, beg them that you came from far distance... plead with them very well, I’m sure they will allow you to make payment. Same advise I have someone two weeks ago, they agreed. Though it’s was IOM Abuja. So you can try your luck as well.

Goodmorning House,
I am yet to apply, still gathering required documents. Is it advisable to go for upfront medicals? Or can I apply and go for medicals later then upload? Or if I don't do upfront medicals, then I must wait for them to send me medical request before I do it?

I live in the East, I am thinking if I can visit Lagos just ones and do both the medical and biometrics at ones. Can this be achieve? Can I apply, then if I am sent to biometric, then I book an appointment for medicals at ones? Can this be achieved? Please help me guys...
Since you don’t live in or anywhere around Lagos or Abuja, I’ll advice when you go for your biometrics, you should also do an upfront medicals, upload the e-Medical sheet via webform. This is to save cost of traveling, safety and also lodging in an hotel.

Goodluck

Eligibility Reviewing over 2month now. I send them mails everyday including webform nothing nothing….. are they God ? I’m literally tried.
Just order for your notes, I think that will push them to give a decision.

With 12m Cash gift deed from my Mother, do I still need to show her statement of account?
The 12m will be transferred to my account for 1year program…

My tuition + 10k Cad + 3k cad is about $31k

Ready to add her identification card, land documents, and family pictures as home ties

Pls help… should I go ahead?
No, you do not need to show her statement of account... And, yes you can go ahead, just do affidavit of support and notarize deed of gift letter. You should be good to go, but if you think you want to show her statement, no issues. Also ensure you pay your tuition fee.

It will end in praise.

Many thanks.

I've actually done upfront medicals and uploaded same with the application. I just want to confirm if that remark ( You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.) is normal at the initial application stage.
Yes it is normal, when they receive your medical exam results, they will update your portal as medical exam passed.

Good luck.

Congratulations.

Please you stated in the first document, as letter of acceptance.

Acceptance to school or what?

As your visa route says PPR.
PPR simply means, Original Passport Request while they Acceptance Letter is also Admission Letter.

Please I need opinions on this: I recently sent in my application but the medical review section on the application reads "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.", is this normal? As I clearly would require a medical exam.
You can decide to wait for them to request for a medical exam from you or you do an upfront medical. Which ever one you choose to do, you’ll still do a medical exam.

Is PPR,
I have been a silent reader and it won’t be nice if I fail to share this great joy with my Nairaland family .

Timeline ;

I will say I’m a third time applicant though first was a visiting visa around 2018 and I was denied based on financial status and assets.

Second application which is for study and that was when i got to know about Nairaland Travel section and I messaged @Anon123 and asked him to guide me through with my application . Then we submitted on 5th of April 2022 after two month, 8th June hot breakfast was served and we applied for gcms immediately and it came out around 29th of July :

Refusal reasons: unexplained lump sums and also the VO stated that the cooperate account statement provided that I did not explain relationship b/w the employee/employer .

What we did different : I paid additional tuition of 9500$ with the previous deposit of 2000$ making it a total sum of 11500$ ,I also went to bank requested for a reference letter stating that am sole signatory to my cooperate and savings account and also added few sales receipts /invoice of my business then we re-fired on 21st of August and PPR dropped on 10th of November.

Documents submitted

1. Letter of acceptance
2. Tuition receipt
3. Marriage certificate
4. Cac certificate
5. My wife’s cac certificate
6. 2 power of attorney of landed documents
7. Property valuation certificate
8. Tenancy agreements from my tenants
9. Sales receipt/invoice from my business
10. Police clearance certificate
11. Cooperate and savings account statement
12. My 2 kids birth certificate
13. Family pictures

I want to specially thank God almighty for making this Canadian dream a reality. I give him all the glory and also i want to thank @Anon123 for pointing me at the right direction and also all the gurus in the house . To the PPR hopefuls keep the faith alive it will surely end in praise . Amen

What is bothering me now is that I can’t find my biometrics receipt anymore though will be doing walk in passport submission since I live in Abuja until I get there this week will find a way out .
Congratulations, go to where you did your biometrics for a possible reprint.

The land of Canada will favor you.

Thanks. But one more thing, when i get the visa do I pay the full tuition for the year before travelling or I can still present my tuition deposit receipt and statement of accounts to the border officer at the airport?
If it’s possible to pay the full year tuition, that will really impact your visa chances positively and at the port of entry, you might be asked to present your tuition receipt and statement of account.

Good luck

You don’t need police clearance to apply for Study Permit. But if you wish to add it alongside your documents, no issues.

Thanks, but I am confused about the consent form and yellow biometric slip, where do I get them?

If i am going to them which my Dad suggests, do I need to book an appointment or i can just go without an appointment? i check the link for an appointment, but the only option there is a biometric appointment hence no option for passport submission
Just click on the link, download, print and fill the consent form.

You can decide to do a walk in in Lagos but I doubt if you can do that in Abuja because of the security concerns. Just use DHL to send your documents, if you’re sending to where you did your biometrics, you’ll only have to pay for delivery fee.

Please who can help me here? I heard this and I came here to confirm. I don't want to fall a victim of scam.
IMO: you don’t have to pay school fees to get admission, you only pay application fee to be admitted if you meet the requirements and pay tuition deposit to confirm your seat if the institution requests for it.

But you must pay visa application fee before your Study Permit is approved. Biometrics: 85CAD + Application fee: 150CAD= 235CAD

It is only when you’re using an agent that agent will tell you you’re not paying anything until visa comes out and you have to be very very careful with such agents.

Good luck going forward

Good morning folks! Please, I need clarity on something, what happens with your admission and the tuition fees you've paid if it took the embassy a long time to approve your VISA in which during that period, you were already late for resumption for about six months or close to a year?

To illustrate and better understanding of the question... You got your admission, with resumptions date on January 2021, you've paid your tuition fees, and you've gone for your biometric, but you got your VISA approval by November 2021, which is about 10/11 months later.... what happens with your admission? will it be deffered or rejected or what? Thank you
Depends on the University/College/Polytechnic. Some will allow you to defer stating the reason for deferral while some will not.

That’s why it’s advisable to always look at deferral and refund policy when choosing any of the institutions.
