A MYSTERIOUS Loch-Ness-style monster has been found on the shores of Vietnam with the world now wondering what it is and where it has been dwelling.

In video footage, the carcass of the enormous creature from the deep is seen being raised onto a large truck in front of hundreds of baffled onlookers.

The video emerged from a Chinese news source earlier this week with little information to explain the surfaced giant behemoth.

In a global online investigation, posters and forum users have jumped to their own conclusions about the strange finding.

Some say it could be a relative of the infamous Loch Ness monster.

Others have gone down the alien route and presumed it to be a large creature from outer space similar to that in the 1990 film Tremors.

But it seems the most common belief is that it is a large… beached whale.

In Vietnam, fishermen on the coasts are known to worship whales as the animals are meant to bring luck and safety to them and their families.

During the Cau Ngu funeral festival, for instance, the Vietnamese will sing and dance while dragging a whale corpse to a nearby whale temple to bury the bones in the cemetery.



In 2010, it was reported a 15-ton dead whale known as "Your Excellency" was given a royal send-off.

More than 30 people on 10 boats brought the whale ashore as it floated lifeless in the Cai Cung River.

As many as 10,000 people then attended the funeral to honour the sacred animal.

Kenyan villagers chase down pair of super-fast cheetahs

VILLAGERS in Kenya have chased down and captured two cheetahs that were killing their goats.

The goat's owner has told the BBC the cheetahs had been preying on the animals one by one, day by day.

Four men in the north-east of the African nation chased down the cats over a distance of four miles.

By the end the cheetahs, the fastest-running animals on Earth, were so tired they could not run anymore.

The villagers captured them alive before safely handing them over to the Kenya Wildlife Service.

Goats and other livestock are a crucial part of the economy for the Kenyan-Somali population living in the barren north-east of Kenya.
