Pamperme Got my visa through drop box today. Finally decided on Texas. Anyone planning texas for last week in December? Thanks

@Pamperme, Congrats. did u state that you are goin for childbirth? Also wat docs did u include?
@feddy27.

I didn't coz there is no particular box to tick for that except you fill the medical one which will no longer qualify you for the dropbox. You are qualified for Dropbox if your circumstances hasn't changed from the last application. People have advised on this forum to contact the embassy after to inform them of the change in plan.

As per docs, you would perhaps not attach anything apart from the confirmation page, dropbox notification, original gtb payment receipt, 2 passport photo and your intl passport. Any other doc will not be collected by those DHL people o.

Texas, anyone? In last week in December or early January?

Thanks

nefertitiram: Hi All,
I lost my babies, poor handling in ICU here in Nigeria, even at 7 months. Another reason why everybody needs to have their baby in the US! I pray no one experiences this kind of loss in Jesus Name,
I have managed to move on. Time to go back to the drawing board, sad loss after trying for a number of years.
I cannot question God.
Am so sorry for your lost dearie. The Lord knows best and He will heal your hurting heart. Take care.

oawele: I went to MIHS and was able to meet with one of the business services manager. She said the maternity package is currently under review and during the review period which is supposed to be concluded by 1st of October, 2014 they will no longer be scheduling or issuing appointments to patients.

Those that already have appointment scheduled between now and 1st of Oct can still come in, they would be paying the normal cost. However, those with appointments scheduled for 1st of Oct onwards will be paying the reviewed prize irrespective of when you got your appointment.

Tried to find out what the review would look like but she didn’t have an idea, maybe se didnt want to say.
Thank you. We will wait till Oct 1. Might end up in my New York sad

shelly23: Sorry if i'm asking the same question over and over again. Are you stating childbirth on your application? I'm due to renew my visa via dropbox in December (when i'm about 30wks gone) and i'm afraid of rejection. I feel like childbirth is something best explained when I see the VO face to face. Not sure how it'll be just sending in paperwork.
To answer your question, NO.

amash: Hi pamper me... could you kindly let me know the exact birthing price you have for MIHS and what accomodation you will be using there?. really appreciate
The MIHS package for VD is $2888, you can check their website for more details. As per the accommodation, am looking at Crosslands and budgeted $1700. The problem with both is that they may likely increase from October so we just have to wait for update.

Please I would like to ask - what is the earliest age that one can fly with her baby back home after giving birth in the US?

Looking forward to your responses. Thank you.

Hello,

For those travelling in December, i will suggest you wait till end of September or early October before purchasing your ticket. i work with an airline and the summer prices will end by September 25th.

i would also be travelling by December ending but am going to New York.

Thank you.

Family › Re: To Report A Cheating Wife To Her Husband Or Not, What's Your Take? by Pamperme: 10:05am On Jul 07, 2014
I discovered something recently. My friend's husband who lives in America is actually married to another woman, obviously for green card or something. My friend lives in Lagos and i don't know how he does it when she visits.

I have over the past few weeks battled with myself to tell her but some elders advised me against it. I have decided to keep quiet, even though i see her nearly everyday (it's a cross i have decided to bear).

Two things the elders sighted was that (1) she might be aware of the arrangee/legal marriage and then i will look like a fool and amebo and (2) if she is not aware of it, i would have destroyed a home and i will still look like a fool and of course home breaker!

So my one cent advise, please stay clear of people's marriage even if you catch one partner red handed! In fact, make it very clear to the caught partner if he/she sees you that you have no intention of telling your friend or relations. Some Cheaters can go to any length, to keep their secrets!

Thank you Chaircover for confirming my friend's story. I posted earlier that someone on the flight said it was a miscarriage but people still continued with the baby thing. I really feel sorry for the woman coz I heard she is well advanced in age...

I heard from someone who was on the flight that a lady actually had a miscarriage not a baby. That she was about 12weeks pregnant and the plane landed in Spain, so she can get further treatment.
