i asked earlier in the post about the form my friend (who wanted to apply for his Msc and his CAS was issued before April 2011) should fill. You advised that he should use the April 2011 form and write English language test. He didnt because he said it was expressly stated at UKBA website which form to use and there is no requirement for english language test in the form. His Study Visa came out today anyway!

i just want to advise people to follow the instructions carefully because am sure he would have been refused for using a wrong form, if he had used the new form.

My friend who works at Arik said, they have been paid their salaries up to June o,  and am sure he doesnt like their chairman enough to lie on his behalf anyway,  lol and he also told me that Agbani signed a very nice deal with Arik and they've paid her,

I watched the MBGN live show and i must say as excited as i was to watch the show live for the first time, i was totally and megally disappointed when she was announced the winner. Out of the five finalists, she was the one that couldnt answer a simple question of "what would being crown MBGN mean to her" She blabbed for about 20 seconds, repeating the question twice, before the presenter (terrible presenting from her, by the way) bought her time by telling the audience to allow her to talk. Even after that, she said something about being Confidence before she was rescued by the Presenter again.
So i was not suprised when i stumbled upon the piece below this morning in Nigeria Today online:

Controversy trailed the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) competition held at Eko Hotel, Lagos at the weeekend following the announcement that Miss Taraba, Sylvia Nduka was victorious. Rerports said the judges had picked Miss Bayelsa, Gemal Sophie, on their cards, but mysteriously she lost. Nduka went home with N3 million and a brand new Hyundai Accent car, 2010 edition. The announcement drew a loud protest from the audience, when it was made about 11:15p.m.

I must say that if the above is true, then Shame to the Murray-Bruces and the Silverbird Group,

There is something else i need your clarification on:

I spoke with a friend who has been offered admission in one UK university. He has paid all the school fees, have over 2million in account for his maintenance/accommodation. He has also been issued a CAS number as well. But the problem is this issue of English Language, he told me he spoke to two admission officer today and they confirmed that his CAS was issued before April 2011 when the English language stuff started. But he still seems rather perturbed. The question is, should he fill the new Assessment form (April 2011) or the old one (November 2010)

Thanks for the advice. As i have a better chance of getting a business visa, i will renew it and then apply for the Visitors visa next year.

hello,
i currently have a 2 year business visa which will expires in 2 months time. i will like to apply for a 5 year visa now but as a visitor. i already have two friends who are willing to send me invitation letters and their utility bills.
My questions are:
(1) is it reasonable to apply as a visitor this time because am not sure i'd be travelling on business any time soon?
(2)Does it make sense to get two invitation letters or just limit it to one?
(3) Will i be given a visitor visa for that long or just apply for 2 years visitor visa?
(4) How much fund should i make available in my account?
Would appreciate ur help in this regard
